  1. Alright folks, I want to address Storm Cell uptime. It's commonly discussed in here, so I've been thinking on it, collaborated with a few of our developers, and I will pitch an idea. Looking at the budget, there is something that we can potentially do that will help lower levels but limit uber-builds. So here it is: What if instead of a 90s cooldown, it gets lowered to 40s, but does not accept recharge buffs (so it's fixed to 40s, always). This would keep the current 60s duration intact. Give me a 👍 or 👎 . Discuss it if you like, may throw it on beta regardless just to see what performance feels like. And before it gets asked, no...we aren't turning it into Faraday Cage mechanic. They are completely different powers serving completely different purposes.
  2. It increases your proc chances by 20 percentage points for 10s. So in the image above, The 70% chance for High Winds becomes 90%, the 60% chance of Lightning becomes 80%
  3. Example of tweaks. The probability of procs will show under the damage for each attack. Also, special "In Storm" effects will be stated too.
  4. Descriptions have been touched and should be in next build. For the time being, the minute details can be found on City of Data (choose cryptic branch)
  5. Not on this page, but you're not the only one who has made this suggestion.
  6. You (the player) do not need to be inside the cell to get its effects. The foe you're targeting needs to be. As for lightning/wind procs, you can target any foe to trigger this. However, the procs that are triggered will only hit foes inside the storm cell.
  7. Beanbag will return. Aim will go away. Hopefully next build will hit brainstorm in a day or two.
  8. All, we are veering off topic with all the proc discussion. We get it, Suppressive Fire doesn't proc bomb as well anymore. If you wish to continue that conversation, move it to https://forums.homecomingservers.com/forum/57-homecoming-beta/. I don't want this back-and-forth drowning out other's feedback of the rest of the blaster changes.
  9. It let's you know that you don't currently have a Storm Cell active. Sometimes, it may be hard to notice if the storm cell's duration ran out, so it serves as a QoL notification. There is also a buff icon you can monitor, but we think the ring is more useful. Next patch should include some fx changes to storm cell based on player feedback. Hopefully it will be easier to see, but the ring will remain regardless.
  10. Good point, I will stop trying to justify the developers design decisions. Carry on.
  11. Jet Stream does full damage per the design formula, while also providing utility. You also get Storm Cell as your 4th power which also acts as a source of AoE and will cause foes within it to knockdown instead of repel.
  12. I commend those who use this power as a tool for pushing enemies into the Storm Cell, however the repel is not there for this purpose. Jet Stream is a utility power used for safety, getting enemies further away from you. Many players will appreciate that ability, especially at early levels. Eventually players may no longer want the utility and can choose to respec out of it, or slot a KB2KD IO to remove the repel if they choose to, or they may like to keep the utility and leave the power as is. The options are available to players to tune the power to their liking and we will not limit those options. The repel has utility and is thematic; it will not be removed.
  13. For clarity, can you tell us how you slotted Suppressive Fire for your testing?
  14. This is not a balance pass for Assault sets, only Blast sets. While we're on the topic, VEATs, Epics, and any other powers that share the same name from Blast sets are also not a part of this pass and won't be considered for this page.
  15. Just a reminder for everybody. Focused Feedback threads are intended for feedback from testing the changes on Brainstorm. Not interested in patch note feedback or speculation of what performance is like based on reading of those patch notes. If you want to have that discussion, make a post in the Homecoming Beta sub-forum. Otherwise, that sort of discussion in the Focused Feedback threads will be deemed off-topic and hidden.
  16. That's an interesting suggestion. Similar to Sentinel's Super Reflexes. I don't think we're interested in expanding on that mechanic, but I'll make sure the idea gets discussed either way.
  17. Not looking at Dark Blast AoE this page. Hopefully in the near future.
  18. Good catch, description is bugged. Technically, that was going to be the original intent of the power, by having the extra stealth radius offered by Invisibility to suppress if you affect others. But at some point it was decided to just keep all the stealth unless you attack, in which case the description wasn't updated to match.
  19. There is nothing to fix. That change was intentional and working as intended.
