  1. i have a few Battle Axe characters and i always take Chop this power is for the most part just to get set bonus i don't ever use it in my rotation unless i am exempted down then i add it in to my rotation. i always take Build Up after that my rotation is normally Axe Cyclone (this is the PBAOE and will draw the enemies in close to you) next is Pendulum (this is AOE with 7' radius) then i use Cleve (this is another AOE but in a 20' Arc) and i finish off with Swoop Single Target. Hope this helps you can change up what you use as your first power pic based on the types of enhancement sets it can take to make it suit what you need. also i always put a Force Feedback +Recharge in Axe Cyclone and it proc's i would say about 90% of the time
  2. just figured i would give a little update. Battle Axe / Fiery Aura Farmer would not say it is any faster or better than say a Rad or Spines but i will say it is just as good and the feel of it to me is awesome. i do believe i get threw the Elite's fast with axe being a hard hitter. i do have a Fiery Aura / Battle Axe Tank as well but for farming the Brute can clear groups faster than the tank. here is the build if anyone is interested.   3. reading the posts i need to get popcorn for all the excitement here lol . but i would like to say the way the game has developed all Arch Types can be played and do just about any thing you want if you have the build knowledge and influence. i love this game and have since the day it first came out there are times i miss the early on game play when we use to look for the different arch types to make up our team because you could not bump up missions and then when you could you had to have a tank a healer some control ranged and then your melee dps to smoothly get threw a mission. but those day are gone now we go in to task forces with healers that can solo it if they want. that being said i posed the Question of Scrapper or Brute to find out what the OPINION of the mass was on witch would be better for the power sets i chose not witch arch type is better to play over all or why 1 arch type is worthless when it doesn't meet someone's expectations on game play.

  6. don't over look Stone Armor i believe Rooted has a built in taunt and Brimstone adds to damage of all your attacks stone is very solid with its defense and add alot of health and end mitigation the only down fall is low DDR but you can use incarnates or couple purples to mitigate that for the AV fight.
  7. in the description for Stealth it say that if you attack or are attacked you will loose some of your defense bonus. how much do you loose?
  8. just for thoughts don't forget about Stone Armor. and take a look at Energy Melee with the health that stone gives you and the regen and endurance management you can really take advantage of Energy Melee's big st damage
  9. this will be a toon that i will be leveling threw story lines but will be solo most of the time exception of some TF's.
  10. i am wanting to make a Savage Melee / Radiation Armor toon what would be better Scrapper or Brute? i mostly play solo so i don't want to have to count on team members to make up for any short fallings. so my question is should i go Scrapper or Brute?

  14. I have a Battle Axe / Dark Armor Brute and i will have to say it was a struggle getting it leveled up dealing with End issues spent a lot on amplifiers for recovery and regen and recovery serums and eating blues like candy but i will say at 50 incarnated out he is fun and very brutal.
  15. I stand corrected it has been a couple years since i played my War Mace toon i just don't remember it doing that.
  16. really the biggest differences between Battle Axe and War mace are 1. Battle Axe is Knockdown and War Mace is Knockback and 2. Battle Axe has Axe Cyclone for it's PBAOE that pulls enemies toward you when you use it and War Mace has Whirling Mace that is a PBAOE but does not pull enemies toward you. 3. Battle Axe has Cleave that is a ranged attack and even though it does not say it, it is kind of a small cone as well if 2 enemies are standing next to each other you will do damage to both of them. War Mace has Shatter that is not ranged and does only ST damage
  17. i have ran just about every set on a brute at some point and i really like Radiation Armor the best i am not saying it is the best but i have enjoyed it the most on a brute and as far as Primary offensive power i lean toward Battle Axe myself it is hard hitting good combination of ST attacks and AOE attacks and it does knockdown not knockback i really do not like knockback on my melee toons. Radiation has good resist ability and plenty of healing and endurance and it's Tier 9 power meltdown you never notice the crash.
  18. i run a Battle Axe / Super Reflex Brute and he has no issues and is extremely fun to play i converted it over to Martial Arts take a look it may help you on direction to go. Melee Defence is a little higher than i was going for but was hard to get it to stay closer to the 57% also i don't take Elude i personally don't like the crash on it.   19. i have really enjoyed playing Battle Axe ever since they revamped it and was wonder if anyone has tried it on a farmer and if so how did it perform i am not looking for it to be the fastest or best farmer but does it perform well is it fun to play? My thought is you would open with Axe Cyclone and pull stuff in the hit them with Pendulum and knock a bunch down followed with Ball Lightening the Electric Fence and for the EB's you would have Cleave as your single target to beet them down.

  21. i play a little different than most i never build with T9 power to be used nor due i build with the idea that my incarnate will get me to were i want to be. that being said i would recommend out of the secondary's you have listed to go with Stone. Stone can reach survivability with good damage and recharge on its own. That being said i would say take a look at Bio before you make a decision i know not everyone likes Bio but it has everything needed built in to be able to survive solo or run with a team.

  23. i would go with Dark Armor / Electric Melee but i guess depends on how you like to play fully built out Dark armor can have 90%+ Resist to S/L/F/C/N/P/T and be in the 80%range on Cold, it can also have close to soft cap of S/L/M Defense. and if something does get threw and do damage to you you can fully heal in about 7 sec. i personally like the aesthetics of Electric Melee better
