I think it all depends on what attention you draw to yourself. Doing your best to make yourself THE copyrighted character...people don't appreciate that. Setting yourself apart creatively doesn't draw attention. During CoH's run they were heavily assaulted by outside powers (Marvel, DC) about things like this. The overall community doesn't like threats like that again. So, if you outright copy something they WILL take offense to it. I understand you WANT to be Superman...but you cannot and will not be allowed to BE Superman. So before you punch the button on being: The.Superman The.Man of Steel Understand that this game is 20+ years....and we've SEEN that stuff hundreds if not thousands of times...and are just as tired of it.

ALWAYS use control and AoE type powers on spread out mobs. Letting the tank gather them up so everyone's AoE and mob holds have the most effect is just weird. You HAVE to show you're 'teh one'

Put the TT right next to the SG portal....that could have saved the TT for a more optimal time.

Apparently the best area in the game is around Ms. Liberty and the Ouro portal. That's where all the mannequins tend to cluster.

This video is a complete sham. The only thing I see that needs to be fixed...is that the Peacebringers and Warshades DO need a warning about them being for more advanced players. With his list of MMO vids....he conveniently adopts total amnesia about how MMOs work.

This sense of entitlement explains a lot.

Most of it is people that lurk on here desperately waiting to post on anything. You'll come to recognize the names. Forum sharks (trolls). They're in every thread on every topic. They are trying to uphold a reputation they've built over long years. They MUST stroke the ego!

A great in game resource is the MAP. There are stores in just about every zone! Map...it is your friend.

A better name would be: Permanent arguments.

I'll also toss this into the ring.... When the Halloween event started just after a new currency was introduced there was a post on here that I found very problematic. A forum user felt that the Dev's were 'spitting in the face' of long term players by introducing a new currency. I'm too lazy to go look it up, but its there. The devs introduced something for the player to EARN...and the player felt slighted by it. That GROSS sense of entitlement is what this is all about. Some players feel 'entitled' to farm...that it is their right. The changes altered things. That sense of entitlement feels threatened. Players are NOT entitled to a damn thing. We're lucky as HELL to even be playing this thing AT ALL. If you are a long term player that LIVES in the game and do not like the changes....by all means, move on. If you are a long term player that likes the changes....shut UP and stop bickering. If you are a long term player that is just happy as hell, like I am, that the game still EXISTS in any form at all....HI!

*bickerbickerbicker* The game has changed. It is what it is. They'll clearly change it as they see fit. Leave or stay. Throwing insults or belittling each other isn't going to solve anything except make the divide wider. We are not entitled to anything here. They can just pull the plug JUST because the community has gotten too volatile for it to be worth the effort of running it.

CoH is entertainment. FREE entertainment. If you are not entertained there are always other things to do.

This morning I was doing a respec. I was in Atlas. I got a phone call and during that I started watching the goings on around Ms. Liberty. I feel sorry for Ms. Liberty. Everyone trying to stand as close as possible. (right now the woman can't even stand in her usual spot.) People throwing down dummies to attack incessantly. People hopping around getting into EVERYONE's faces while in their new costumes, eager for people to comment. Someone running back and forth along the wall behind Ms. Liberty trying to slowly bump push people off. People with powers on auto firing them off repeatedly. MM's with every minion they can muster trying to obscure Ms. Liberty completely. I'd love to see Ms. Liberty, who's finally had enough of the dry humping, to go totally nuts and annihilate everyone. It has to be a horrible existence putting up with that every minute of every day.

Since the dawn of the MMO the chat is and always shall be a quagmire. People will do what they want. You aren't really going to stop them. Control. You can only exercise control over yourself. Don't like this/that/whatever then do something that is under YOUR control. Turn it off. Use /ignore. Chat tabs are editable. For the most part, the more you wail into the void that you don't want someone to do said thing, they will absolutely DO said thing out of spite. Controlling chat...interesting concept.

I guess I don't get all the 'ball ache' of them handing out free respecs. The characters won't be broken. Next question are the respecs mandatory when the character is logged in?
