  1. Sounds like a good argument. But overall ice/cold would perform better in higher end content? Where would that compare to sonic/cold? Would ice/dark perform better than water?
  2. In your experience why is cold better? Doubling down on -res? Access to -def? How do you manage without a self heal?
  3. For therm which would be best: Sonic/Therm Dark/Therm Corr or Def?
  4. Back on live I had a Rad/Dark/Dark corr which i did everything with, she was super tanky and just ate everything up. When homecoming was released I remade her as a Water/Dark/Dark and after getting to 50, fully slotting, and unlocking some Incarnate powers I put her on a shelf. Looking back now i think its because Water wasn't the best fit for me or maybe it was the build in general? I think perhaps i might have been trying to get too much from the build, taking too many powers and not enough slots. Water has a lot of good damaging abilities to the point that i think there is too much! I was trying to Fearsome Stare + Tar Patch + Soul Drain + Whirlpool + Water Burst/Geyser etc etc on nearly every encounter. Obviously most if not all would be dead before I even got a chance to cast everything. I think maybe the key to this build is to perhaps strip out a few abilities, the problem for me at least is identifying which need to go! I have considered recreating my original and going back to Rad/Dark (cant find the build I used so threw one together): Or maybe going for something new like Ice Blast: All that being said out of the 3 sets (Water, Rad, Ice) Water does seem to have the most damage potential? I mean the Tidal Power mechanic with Water Jet is great as it is. I am at a loss to say the least! I would like to be able to take this character into the higher end of difficulty content as well.

  10. Which troller combos would really shine in hard mode? Or is it more down to the team comp? I've not participated in any myself yet but i have read that there is some confusion resistance?

  13. Here is a similar build i have been playing with: Also this could work very well. Add Power Blast in as often as you can to proc Force Feedback to bump up that rech. Powerboost also helps nicely!

Really just curious on peoples opinion/experience with this combo and how it would potentially fair with soloing GM/AV It is definitely more of a solo focused build hence the lack of Glacial shield and frostwork. I have added a number of slots within health to try somewhat counter the lack of heal. 46.4% S/L Def, 41.56 Ranged Def - less than desirable really... Perma Hasten

  16. So after some juggling i have produced the following Dark/Cold/Ice build. Hasten is perma, Benumb is 3.37 secs off being perma, and Heat Loss im not so sure as Mids isnt showing for me. Capped S/L/Ranged Def. There wont be any end issues with Heat Loss, but could really use Ageless for the extra Rech, but Clarion would probably be better suited. Thought? Alternatively i do have a variant that uses Stone Mastery, Def is all the same but i have slotted Force Feedback: +Rech into Fissure which knocks all the global rech issues out of the park. I'm not sure overall which would Epic set would offer the more damage overall.

  19. With the recent changes to Ice, how does the damage compare to other control sets?

  22. With Mids finally updated we can start playing around with some build ideas! Below i have thrown together 3 that i would consider: Symph/Cold Symph/Dark Symph/Storm Not sure on the Symph slotting yet as both the confuse and cone sleep seem to be able to deal decent dmg if slotted for it but the question is whether that is useful or not! Let me know what you think of the below builds and if you would make any changes.
  23. ....literally, i have ill/dark, plant/dark, grav/dark, fire/dark, elec/dark....Its ridiculous. i love buffing/debuff but for me nothing really compares to /dark
  24. Yes, i am familiar with ill/rad. Had one back in the day i did everything with. I just wanted to mix it up, every troller i have ends up being /Dark Affinity.
