My point though is that The same can be said for Corrupters and they are FAR FAR FAR better than there MM counterparts, and much easier to get said effective damage, and a /Dark controller???? do not get me started. what MMs really need is a moment to shine. to bring it back to the focused feed back, any nerf to current live HP makes any buffs virtually useless , even if they start to do solid damage at +4 and higher one Council rocket at those levels is going to decimate your t1 pets and that makes your remaining pets squishier and less survivable for the next rocket. I imagine the damage will scale higher with each level above +4 as it does from +1 and up so LOWERING max hp makes whatever increases they get moot. since the same rocket at +5 will probably now kill all t1 and a t2 pet, if not more. -

and my response to this would be why wouldn't you want to buff them for regular content? IMO and those of my small circle of friends is that MMs are just plain worse at everything with more hassle. IF you can keep your pets close and alive and on defensive and IF the MM takes damage and your pets DECIDE to all attack the same target one at a time then MMs feel pretty good, but as soon as you take them out of defensive or the pets start attacking all separate targets or the MM doesnt take any damage (while they are in defensive ) you are effectively useless. this doesnt even begin to touch the level differences and main part of this focused feed back. if for a few months or pages or what have you MMs became the Meta why would that be bad. I think that there is some idea somewhere that MMs are on an even playing field with other ATs, and this is just wrong objectively. If simply making MM Pets even level with the MM will put them slightly higher damage than a Dominator, so be it! let them have a chance to shine after having such a very long time in the doghouse. This is very confusing, it feels like they are trying to keep the MM at the bottom instead of taking this opportunity to bring them up to snuff while at the same time also adjusting them for the newer content they are making. I say let MMs be "plant control" for a bit and let them have a chance to be needed/wanted in groups. then slowly tune it down over time if needed. -
so this is probably my final build unless you all see something very game breaking, i understand you guys don't like my slotting in the defensive powers but i am pretty fond of getting 12.5 recharge from one power relatively cheaply at that. but i did grab energy and dropped some of the other defenses and tuned cloaking device. swapped my alpha to vigor for accuracy healing and end reduction. i grabbed flashbang and got rid of the fighting pool entirely. I also added some slots to the tri cannon but kept the resist aura in since 90 is better than 80 right? good for tanks anyhow :). with power boost my defenses are great and since i got rid of fighting pool i was able to grab conserve power as well for even more endurance savings since none of my damaging attacks have any reduction. Chrono shift is hundredths of seconds from perma and im certain +5 will push it over. ill attach the build for your perusal i think its a winner but more critiques are welcome! Thanks for your help ! made some changes to my build and this is what i have, i know its expensive and i wasnt able to get flash bang but i dont plan on dropping down in level very often . and yes i know i could drop the stealth and tp pool and get combat jumpin with super jump for a travel power and its better in combat but my friends are reckless sometimes so i wanted the tp to save them. edited posted build a few posts down from here

So single target holds in arsenal and time are good for damage proccing and the placeable abilities are not is that correct? i am trying to remember and that feels right.

I have been gone a few years and recently came back, when i left Proc monster trollers were all over the forums but i am looking for recent strategies specifically regarding a build i am enjoying a bunch. Arsenal control/ Time Manipulation so far seems insanely awesome for my playstyle and while my initial thoughts are to slot for perma Farsight. i am wondering if proc mosntering abilities is still a thing and some example slotting and which ones are good for damage proc slotting in arsenal or time

Would anyone care to suggest a build for Elec melee and Psi armor? i jsut came back after a good long while and my Aim is at least go for perma hasten with survivability a close second but its been so long that i am having trouble finding inspiration. influence is not a concern so purples and any crazy expensive enhancements are easily purchased

and in regards to having unwarranted advances and what not or even insults/bully behavior. that is something that can be minimized, if you were in my discord all you would have to do is tell me, and i would remove the individual. the trick is to join a group is suits your personality and social standards. as in any where there are jerks, perverts and morons. i recently joined a discord where the person who owned it was toxic AF, after a few minutes of adjustment, i opted out of that discord and deleted it from my list. this of course wont prevent these behaviors from happening, but will limit your exposure to them.

i mean 90% of these issues can be solved by using push to talk, i dont want to hear anyones back ground while they are not speaking and in my own discord i enforce the use of ptt. i agree that chewing noises and overly loud music can be annoying, but with ptt those things are drastically reduced.

all these excuses to not use discord is dumb, just tell people you are too shy or dont know how. seriously you can easily keep one earphone off if you need to hear real world sounds. most of the rest of these excuses are silly, i am sorry if this offends people but once you find a group of people with similar interests, discord or otherwise it makes the entire experience better.

yea it sounds like that specific power could use some love, is that an outlier or are there any other abilities that are that bad. mind you i do not think primary powers should be discussed in the same way as assault powers, while damage maybe a consideration on control sets, i do not think they should be measured by how much damage they do.

i agree. i also did not know that half of that damage was over 7 seconds, i have never been a fan of fire abilities in this game. that being said making sure the whole picture is painted, is more important when comparing abilites.

i see, and i do understand your point of view, however i think that utilizing all of your ccs makes for a strong defense as well as pool powers to add to defense, as well as secondary effects such as KD or -to hit etc. this offers you enough leeway to blow some dudes up, of course getting the timings down for each AT can be tricky, but that is one of the things i appreciate about dominators

that would not be good at all but to my recollection most immobilizes have a duration of around 20 seconds or so. with 3 Immobilize duration S.O. s that is around 40 seconds of immobilization. immobilizes are also on very short cooldown which enables you to stack magnitudes extremely easy. also these immobilize abilities are not meant to be a primary source for damage.

comparing the animation times without damage is misleading, i appreciate you took the time to list them here, but all you are really saying is that these attacks have different animations. which i assume means something to you, however to me and maybe others without both sides of the equation...i am not sure what you are trying to point out. for example : Martial Assault -Dragon's Tail 1.5 seconds - 55 smashing damage +kd 17 sec recharge (36 damage per animation) Fiery Assault -Combustion 3 seconds - 75 fire damage 17 sec recharge (25 damage per animation) while i do not expect you to do every single set like this, it is important to show that while fire has a huge cast time it has a significantly larger damage number and is using a damage type that is largely unresisted by mobs and martial assault has an added effect of KD , but even with the increased damage per button press, the damage per animation time is still higher for martial assault. this shows the clear picture of how the two abilities differ and maybe where the ability should or should not be changed.

just casually glancing at mids most of the control sets damage per animation seem fairly equal but i can totally get behind normalizing the damage per activation with fire control getting a bit higher because fire jsut equalizing the animation times will create a larger discrepancy between the different sets instead of aligning them more closely with each other

comparing the damage between all of these different powersets i have a feeling you are not using DP animation to show proper damage comparisons, however plant does have a higher DPA than some of the control set equivalents. my suggestion is to bump up the other control set aoe immobilizes to plant level. id be pretty surprised if people even noticed a difference.

if you want to buff power sets up to plant control or Psi then i am 100% on your side even energy secondary for doms now is pretty tight, changing domination though i am not a fan of

i feel like you are looking to remove the fun from dominators, imho building for super high recharge is why i love dominators. this "polarizing " is what makes this class extremely fun for me and as i said I would love for EVERY AT to have something along these lines. when insta snipe was affected by Accuracy that was a really awesome aspect. I would love to see Critical chance on stalkers and scrappers be reliant on some sort of enhanceable effect so i can control it, and yes i want to fill up a bar for everything and if i can make it permanent to drastically improve its performance and eliminate the need to refill it, id love to see that as well. adding this level of player control on how my character performs is exactly why i love doms. perma doms do have to fill there bar, and it is a penalty when you die to have to refill it, this is an ACTUAL penalty that other ATs lack, and i believe should be incorporated into other ATs. what you are talking about is dumbing down an AT when i would call for adding more nuance to the rest, people should be looking at Dominators as how a class should play and not trying to remove the aspects of what sets them apart. i would love to see tankers building up a bar that would affect all abilities that take +taunt to increase the mag/duration/(just spitballing maybe a minor group healing component) would work similarly to domination, maybe based off a stat tankers find useful. either way changing Domination to a click mez protection and removing the ability to perma dom sounds boring and un-fun. i don't understand why IOs are not something people are working for in every character.
