  1. comparing the animation times without damage is misleading, i appreciate you took the time to list them here, but all you are really saying is that these attacks have different animations. which i assume means something to you, however to me and maybe others without both sides of the equation...i am not sure what you are trying to point out. for example : Martial Assault -Dragon's Tail 1.5 seconds - 55 smashing damage +kd 17 sec recharge (36 damage per animation) Fiery Assault -Combustion 3 seconds - 75 fire damage 17 sec recharge (25 damage per animation) while i do not expect you to do every single set like this, it is important to show that while fire has a huge cast time it has a significantly larger damage number and is using a damage type that is largely unresisted by mobs and martial assault has an added effect of KD , but even with the increased damage per button press, the damage per animation time is still higher for martial assault. this shows the clear picture of how the two abilities differ and maybe where the ability should or should not be changed.
  2. just casually glancing at mids most of the control sets damage per animation seem fairly equal but i can totally get behind normalizing the damage per activation with fire control getting a bit higher because fire jsut equalizing the animation times will create a larger discrepancy between the different sets instead of aligning them more closely with each other
  3. comparing the damage between all of these different powersets i have a feeling you are not using DP animation to show proper damage comparisons, however plant does have a higher DPA than some of the control set equivalents. my suggestion is to bump up the other control set aoe immobilizes to plant level. id be pretty surprised if people even noticed a difference.
  4. if you want to buff power sets up to plant control or Psi then i am 100% on your side even energy secondary for doms now is pretty tight, changing domination though i am not a fan of
  5. i feel like you are looking to remove the fun from dominators, imho building for super high recharge is why i love dominators. this "polarizing " is what makes this class extremely fun for me and as i said I would love for EVERY AT to have something along these lines. when insta snipe was affected by Accuracy that was a really awesome aspect. I would love to see Critical chance on stalkers and scrappers be reliant on some sort of enhanceable effect so i can control it, and yes i want to fill up a bar for everything and if i can make it permanent to drastically improve its performance and eliminate the need to refill it, id love to see that as well. adding this level of player control on how my character performs is exactly why i love doms. perma doms do have to fill there bar, and it is a penalty when you die to have to refill it, this is an ACTUAL penalty that other ATs lack, and i believe should be incorporated into other ATs. what you are talking about is dumbing down an AT when i would call for adding more nuance to the rest, people should be looking at Dominators as how a class should play and not trying to remove the aspects of what sets them apart. i would love to see tankers building up a bar that would affect all abilities that take +taunt to increase the mag/duration/(just spitballing maybe a minor group healing component) would work similarly to domination, maybe based off a stat tankers find useful. either way changing Domination to a click mez protection and removing the ability to perma dom sounds boring and un-fun. i don't understand why IOs are not something people are working for in every character.
  6. i am not understanding why people want to change it at all, remove the build up bar??? wtf?? how does that make it more fun, i propose adding those types of build up bars to all ATs that way they are more how i want to play.
  7. i believe building a character for max recharge or any other goal is fun to me. all my doms now have a goal of perma dom without hasten, i still of course slot hasten because i love it, but if this was a time before attuned enhancements were a thing than maybe you would have a point but getting such a low amount of recharge(123%) including hasten is easily achievable. even at levels as low as 27. most ATs are weak before hand. changing domination in a meaningful way would drastically change the way this AT is played and id be against it, unless you want to make it MORE powerful. if your argument is that Dominators "need" IOs to be competitive then i would argue from my perspective ALL ATs need IOs to be competitive. personally i would be happier if all ATs had a fun mechanic like domination instead of boring passive boosts, especially if they could be buffed or enhanced via global recharge.

Aside from the improved control ability with kb-kd, you are also enabling your targets to take the full damage of bonfire instead of a tiny portion of it. with the kb still active, you targets may only take one or two ticks of damage and then flung out of the damage. while you may not be getting as many knocks as without the pure KB over all the power is significantly better with kb-kd

  11. thank you for response i have messed with this a bunch of times now, and i noticed something if i just select damage and nothing else it is using both superior and non superior versions of ATO, even though i am pretty sure you cannot slot both of them in game, i could be wrong but i think this will throw off alot of basic people like myself. again apologies if this is actually allowed and i am misremembering edit: i am referencing the slotting here in sub dual and psychic wail specifically edit 2: upon closer look, it is not using both versions of the enhancements but it using the same enhancement multiple times.. specifically the superior defiant barrage Acc / dam

  15. ah yes i hadnt realized you were looking for a low cost type build, but this is an example of how the buld will look end game, leveling like this would be rough, but as a goal to shoot for this is what i would suggest... there are numerous money making guides here on the forums, its far easier than it use to be. all that aside i have since leveld and build this toon and it is amazing but it lacks AOE damage so solo if you are running high difficulties it can be slow going sometimes as all of your pets want to be on different targets, but you will kill them all and live:)
  16. i personally have a hard time coming up with good stories for mine but when i do i hate it when i have to alter words or "forget" a space to fit in the last word of my story...really sad

  20. for the most part it looks ok, but if you are not aware carrion creepers already knocks down so adding the chance for kd will have a chance to kb since it may stack. although with the rest of your build being kb heavy i am wondering if this is your intended effect.
  21. i feel like this is bait or just posted to be contrary. while i agree that there are some people who like kb and others who dont, stating that this is a nerf is akin to TW needs a buff because the tanker changes didnt affect it.
  22. procs are ABSOLUTELY amazing in creepers, doing so can and does make plant control the most damaging control set. mostly because the creepers will follow you even after you have moved on from the original patch, it may take time (they seem to be very slow moving) but you will notice the creepers still pop up throughout your mission even when you haven't cast it in awhile. this is not a budget build, this is perma dom before hasten and perma drain psyche. Opening should be one of the two defensive incarnates (if you dont have them yet use seeds). once you get drain psyche rolling you are pretty much immortal. the trick is keep drain pysche on CD as long as you have a decent sized group around you, if it runs out before the next mob use seeds. like i said i use the asteroid farm since mob density is high i am able to keep creepers going and its easy to keep drain psyche full charged, deaths will happen but once you get a feel for it...they are very few and far between. i have never figured out how to do the forum export without filling up 10 pages so here is the data link in this spoiler: everything i have done here has gone towards high recharge and max survivability but the damage is still super strong. try it on the test server you will find it is super good. edit: this is also great for any content:)...if i had room i would add taunt to it and tank TFS:) edit 2: Link Minds will also need to be cast on cd drain Psyche will cover the gap and vice versa casting seeds if both are down at the same time somehow is crucial or of course one of the two beautiful incarnate defensives edit 3 both link minds and drain psyche are perma with hasten on, if you forget hasten there is still only a very very small gap 5 seconds for Drain Psyche and 18 seconds for link minds:)
  23. i am running a plant/Psi dom and can do fire farms at +4 but normally run +3 (seems faster) my favorite is the asteroid map. i have done smash lethal ones but alot of them have some silly debuffing or something. i can still do those but fire farming is easiest for me , if you are interested in the build id be happy to post it.
  24. i personally put hasten in the same place i put buildups and aim..and hit it when its up and put dom on auto ...im also too lazy to do the binds thing
  25. i was going to say something very similar, i also have well over 100 toons and about 20 of them are 50 and about 11 of them are well built. long story short...you are not alone!
