  1. Please don't assume all players are men. Victory is only sweet because defeat was a possibility. If you're not getting some debt, you're not level ten yet doing it wrong.
  2. So, I don't think this is a bad change - the old TO->DO->SO progression never really worked all that well and became almost completely moot - but I've brought up more than one Praetorian since the comeback (including an en/en blaster) and never had any head-slamming sensation.
  3. I routinely buy and slot TOs and DOs in slots where there isn't a useful IO option at my current level. Why not? They're cheap as chips and it makes life a little nicer on the way to 20. (I don't DFB/AE/otherwise rush to 20, though).
  4. That's the impression (imperfectly) given to the user, but what I am saying above is that the game's internal data files list two separate powers. Those Wiki pages use a standard template. I added some plaintext about this, but on reflection, something might be done in the infobox; I have done it.
  5. I'm not sure that's a controversial point (and I think I mistakenly took it as a direct response to what I wrote).
  6. I'm not really sure what you're saying here, TBH - obviously the interface is not great but that seems a separate question to what Kheldian base damage is, which is all I'm trying to address.
  7. There's two powers - one for humans, one for squid - in terms of the stats like recharge and damage.
  8. @Michiyoand I have looked into this. The inobvious bit is that Nova Glinting Eye isn't the same power as Glinting Eye, and that the right-click Info doesn't really respect this. (Most obviously, you can get it to tell you the Recharge Time is 5 seconds even in human form). Nova Glinting Eye's damage scale is 1.16, where Glinting Eye's is 1. Nova Glinting Eye does just over 2.5x the damage to a like minion. (1.16 * 1.2 * 1.45) / 0.8 is 2.523; ie, including the squidform's 45% damage buff, the damage it actually does is what you would expect if squidform had a ranged base damage of 1.2. I have restored this information to the Wiki.
  9. Thanks. Inevitably, now it's set in stone, someone pointed out one howler - a reference to "Desperate Girl". 😕
  10. Crow (Underground Neutropolis), approaching him as a level 38 Rogue: "Your mind has things other than vengeance other."
  11. Especially because, were it a _job_, they'd get money for putting up with it. As it is it's a thankless volunteer task, and even as a sometime thorn in their sides, I recognise that's no fun.
  12. So, in summary, you talked about politics in General (as you "usually do"); you got a 24 hour ban for doing the thing you did which is obviously forbidden; you used a sock puppet to complain about it; you logged in today and used the sock puppet to talk about politics some more; the GMs didn't like it. Count yourself lucky it's only 24 hours?
  13. The clue after the penultimate mission in Moonfire says "One of the Galaxy archons gasped, 'I'll tell you what you want to know. Arakhn is a cruel mistress, anyway. She is concerned not with the needs of her soldiers, but only the survival of her precious Nictus!'". "Galaxy Archons" is how it is normally capitalised.
  14. You are correct; of 429 appearances of the string "Portal Corp", 25 say "Portal Corps"; of 99 appearances of "Hero Corp", 11 are not a substring of "Hero Corps". (In the original leak. HC may have added or removed some).
  15. Well, a reasonable person deserves a reply, so: I regret to say I am not going to do that. I find the document quite adequate as plain text; it's a reference document, not some light reading, and as such I don't mind that it looks like a giant list of stuff, because it _is_ a giant list of stuff. I would no more expect fancy formatting to break up a telephone directory. It is also enormously easier to maintain as plain text rather than HTML.
  16. Absent any reply saying why that's not so, in the next few days I'll do the proposed merge.
  17. https://hcwiki.cityofheroes.dev/wiki/Trial_Zone seems confused. It looks like it wants to be a list of the Hazard Zones that include trials... but since when does the Storm Palace? (And if so, why say "Many of these zones contain Task Forces, Strike Forces, or Trials"?) https://hcwiki.cityofheroes.dev/wiki/Hazard_Zone would then presumably be all the Hazard Zones that don't have trials... except there's "Eden" again. I wonder if I am missing some long-forgotten statement in the early days of the game as to which zone was which kind. If not, I suggest I merge the two pages into "Hazard Zone" leaving a redirect and note on the combined page which zones have Trials.
  18. I think you might have meant to reply to the person who suggested otherwise; I was just commenting on what they wrote.
  19. I _think_ all explore badges are now correct, but that might be hubris. I posted about this elsewhere, but I found some but not all Atlas Park explores had "See Also: Villain Exploration Badges" and were in that category. In my view that is wrong; the see also is bad because they don't appear on the list if you visit that See Also link, and the category is bad because the two categories for Hero and Villain explore badges will contain almost exactly the same things. In my view such badges should list only the See Also and cat for the side they're from. For a page like "International Spy" (that just details a separate redside title for a blueside badge), I suggest See Also: Hero Exploration Badges (the page that actually lists it), but Category: Villain Exploration Badges (which is making that cat do two jobs, but perhaps useful ones). Currently also Praetoria explore badges are in both cats. I submit they should be in neither, and a note should be added to the top of the hero and villain cats that notes that heros/villains can get them and links to the Praetorian cat.
  20. The note itself seems clear enough and I agree it would make a useful addition, but "if you are a natural soloer, do this arc that you probably can't solo" seems somewhat curious.
  21. Added the four Issue 17 Dark Mirror arcs. I wonder what else I'm missing?
  22. I think it surely must be one of those "Mirror, Mirror" style universes that keeps getting pulled back into alignment so people can keep meeting their counterparts. (Perhaps that is why Primal Earth is "Primal"; the other universes do actually dance to its tune). As you say, Praetoria was different centuries ago, yet Cole and Richter found the Well; and surely the universe would diverge with Richter's death, and yet we know from Praetor Duncan's Personal Story that their Miss Liberty was very like ours (in spite of the way her uncle is dead and her father very, very different).
  23. It is? Because I was editing it a little less than 2 hours ago. Please quote the URL that gives a 404?
  24. Ah, I see. I thought you meant "History" pages as in the pages that show the editing history.
