  1. Interesting. So with Ninjitsu, you can Shinobi in (lol) have a high chance to crit with Eagle’s Claw from hide and immediate follow up with Dragon’s Tail for a potential AOE crit.
  2. Doesn’t MA have a mechanic that gives it a higher crit chances as well? Could be a nice synergy.
  3. My only worry with Ninjitsu is the complete lack of AOE. I guess though that MA has an inherent increase in accuracy, correct? You could probably forgo Focused Accuracy and pick up one of the patron powers with an AOE (Ball Lightning, Fire Ball, etc).

  5. I’ve settled on giving MA a shot on a Scrapper. I have 3 concepts/secondaries I am looking at, and wanted to see which secondary people feel would mesh best with Martial Arts! **Shield Defense** seems like a good layered set. AAO is a cool damage bump, and Shield Charge brings some nice extra AOE to MA. I primarily team, so it’s nice that it brings some buffs to the team as well. The negative for this combo is that there is no heal power in either set. I guess I could grab Rebirth if I ever felt I needed one. I also dig the costume effects of Shield. Concept is kind of a crossover between Cap America and Thor, with the electric shield! **Stone Armor** was updated on HC and I have heard great things about it. It seems like a mix of defense and resists. Brings some AOE with it’s dmg aura and brimstone procs. +Max HP power and some endurance recovery. Two negatives I see are that there is no taunt aura. I primarily team, so I guess it isn’t a huge deal, unless I’m main tanking. Second is it might be a bit more difficult to build, due to it’s mix up of defense and resists. Concept is almost like an Avatar Earth Ninja that can harden his skin or use stone/earth around him for armor. **Ice Armor** seems strong on Scraps/Stalkers. Icy Bastion just seems like a great T9 power. Decent heal/endurance recovery and +Max HP. Primarily a defensive set it seems. Doesn’t help with AOE damage much, but has a slow aura and dmg aura with icicles. Negative for it is lack of DDR and not taunt aura. Concept for it is a Cryomancer warrior, kind of like Sub Zero.

  9. I've ran an Elec/Dark before and the idea of running the opposite (Dark/Elec) seems like a TON of fun. Kind of like a Tank-Troller with the controls. @Nemu I see you went with Electric for epic pools. What other epic pool would you or @Onlyasandwich suggest as well? Was thinking Psionic again for Harmonic mind. If I could get Endurance under control, I could see going Dark for the new Tar Patch being very tasty.   10. Staff Fighting! So I dig the animations/sound effects of Staff Fighting. Combo system seems pretty cool as well. I want to give one a spin! It also seems like the new Redraw change on Homecoming helps it a bit. That being said, which of these primaries do you recommend pairing Staff with? Someone mentioned a “Dragoon” thing in another thread, which I thought was awesome… I’m definitely taking Super Jump 😂 **Dark Armor**: I’ll be honestly, this was the tanker I saw that sold me on the pairing. I did some research and it seems like a pretty mythical combo. Looks like you can get 90% Resist to ALL with the Tanker ATO and Lv. 3 Sky Splitter plus soft cap melee/ranged/AOE defense. On top of that, a huge heal every 12 seconds or so? Honestly sounds pretty nutty. I’m pretty sure you need to take Cardiac Alpha to hit some of these numbers though. **Willpower**: Seems like Regen 2.0. Why I think Staff could pair nicely is it brings some extra resists with Sky Splitter + knockdowns for crowd control. Keeping enemies on their butts will really let Willpowers regen take over. Plus, zero clicking so you can just focus on Staff stuff. **Rad Armor**: Everyone seems to love it, and I get why. Looks like Staff would pair well with it for the same reasons everything seems to work with Rad Armor. It also brings +res and +def, which Rad will like. Wouldn’t be the most damaging Rad Tanker, but could arguably be the tankiest. **Bio Armor**: BECAUSE YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MANY STANCES, AMIRIGHT? **Super Reflexes**: I hear SR tanks are some of the toughest around. With great DDR and scaling resists (plus what Staff brings) I imagine it’d be really tough to bring down. **Invuln**: From a pure brick wall stand point, this might be the toughest. Able to hit max HP pretty easily, great resists and defense + some DDR. Like SR though, no damage aura or AOE’s, so it would be a bit light on damage. Brings +tohit though. **Electric Armor**: Honestly, it just looks sexy. I like that it protects against end drain, has a good heal/end discount. Since it manages end so well, I could probably go with Musculature as the Alpha.
  11. I’ve looked at these combos as well (also at Fiery Melee). Dark Melee seems REALLY good, but in the character creator is seems rather… dull? Idk might just be me. Recoloring it could be cool. I did however just check out the Katana taunt after you mentioned it. It is pretty cool.
  12. Thanks for this! From what I'm gathering, Rad/MA is kind of the the absolute min/max choice. All of them seem like they can do well though.
  13. Those are good call outs on Rad Armor. So you feel Rad is kind of "Elec Armor 2.0" for the most part?
  14. Hey Warboss, and thanks! So the OTHER hero I'm running is actually a Battle Axe Scrapper! Are there any other sets you feel go well with Rad Armor? I listed MA, but I had Fiery mixed with Elec Armor. Perhaps mix and match them with Rad and Fiery, if that'd be a better fit than MA.

  16. Hey all, returning home after being away for a while. Looking to invest in a Tanker on the Homecoming server. Full disclosure: I’m a father of 4, ages 8 and under (I’m a masochist). So I only have a bit of time to play on some evenings. I know there is 1k character slots and you can make as many as you want, but I know I’ll probably only have the time to invest in 1-2 heroes. I don’t solo much and primarily team. I’d love to have a tanker that can fit into most teams AND be able to run this new 4* content stuff. Out of the combos I’m listing below, which would you recommend? What has the best synergy/strongest across the board/Jack of all trades? Electric Armor/Katana: Kind of cool Jedi theme for them. Electric Armor I hear is great for leveling, and capping most resists on it is pretty easy. Has endurance drain protection which is nice. Since it caps resists pretty easy, I could probably proc out Katana attacks, which seem to have a nice flow and are chunky when they land. Electric Armor/Fiery Melee: Have this “Shadowstorm” theme where re-coloring some powers looks cool. Elec Armor is strong for the same reasons stated above. Fiery Melee was updated on HC and seems to be top tier now, a nice mix of ST and AOE damage. Rad Armor/Martial Arts: Kind of a Saiyan type theme. Rad Armor seems to have a lot of tools. MA brings nice ST damage and Rad has some AOE nukes to help there. The +def MA brings is nice as well. Good flow to the attacks, can mix it up with punches and kicks now. Fire Armor/Super Strength: Similar Saiyan type theme I guess. I could see this combo doing almost Scrapper levels of damage. Burn + Footstomp seems like it’ll clear a TON of baddies. Fire Armor seems to have a bit more holes than the other two, but this combo seems like it can bring the pain. Would love to hear the thoughts/suggestions from my fellow heroes!
  17. That was my thought as well. Seems like it might be: attack sets with a lot of AOE’s, go Tanker. Sets with more single target stuff, go Brute?

  19. Haha maybe I’ll have to take a look at that combo as well. and that IS interesting about Foot Stomp. I guess Tankers are so strong right now, I have to look for reasons to roll a Brute/Scrapper instead 😂
  20. How did you like DM with Elec? Good call out on the DOTS for both Savage and Elec. Nice synergy there. It just occurred to me: most tanker abilities have a larger AOE… but that isn’t the case for Foot Stomp for some reason, correct? That might be a point for Brutes I guess lol
  21. I’m looking to run an Electric armor hero. I hear that it is great for incarnate/hard mode stuff. Also, I hate having endurance problems haha. Elec Armor seems like a great way to solve that. All this being said, would you run it on a Tanker or Brute? Tanks seem pretty OP, BUT I’ve dived into some past threads, and it seems like a lot of people say Elec Armor shines on a Brute. I’m wondering what that is. I’m also curious if anyone has powerset suggestions to pair with it. I was leaning to Katana, Savage Melee, Street Justice, MA or Super Strength! Open to ideas though.
  22. I'd love to piggy back off this thread, as Doms have always interested me. Does anyone have experience with them in the new Hard Mode content? How do they hold up? I'm looking at potentially rolling a Dark/Dark Dom, but I'm open to suggestions!
