  1. Agreed, you are doing that. I'm glad we see eye to eye. Ps. Now that we have both agreed, I'm moving on HOMESAUCE.
  2. Yes, that actually would, not because of the rm itself, but due to currency generation vs destruction. In this economy we have 2 main levels that control inflation and a floor and artificial ceiling. The levers are currency generation and destruction and if the ration of those is outside of a certain range the result is rampant inflation or deflation. In either case we would end up paying, at the extreme, cost+0 or the artificial ceiling for all goods, as all goods here are normal and substitutable. In the case of emp to merits, the rate at which they can be generated and converted causes this particular channel of currency generation to fall outside of the range that is healthy. As I said, I do not favor removing it, because this would be swinging the pendulum too far in the opposite direction All that is needed is to assure that the rate of generation to destruction is within a certain range and the economy will remain stable and paced to be relative to the wealth of all participants on average. This can be achieved by a time limit on conversion. And specifically, if doubling reward merits for all task forces happened, it would invariably lead to double the currency generation, again outside the healthy ratio vs destruction. This happened on live and was happening here and is creeping again. The reason, for example, a LoTG costs, let's say, 7 million and not 3 million is because people are willing to pay that. The demand curve is a composite of all participants and their price points, more people willing to pay higher drives it up. Flooding the economy with more currency means more people can and will pay more, but the gap between the casual SO player who does not use any skewed measure of currency generation is left behind and cannot pay that equilibrium price. This grows and grows, until we have a high level of wealth disparity. It's happening now in the real world in the housing market, for example (but for more complex reasons). Just an example of how flooding a market with currency causes a bunch of participants to enter who can and will pay a higher price, driving all prices up and leaving most behind.
  3. Hyperbole. I have been clear, regardless of how you misread it.
  4. It is because it is out of balance with with currency destruction.
  5. I did not specify a certain number, which you proved by quoting me.
  6. Spurious correlation that you posting less causes more flame. You are now required to post more to reduce overall flame . Get on it.
  7. Evidence that AE needs adjustment, that's a definite outlier.
  8. All I claimed was 500m-1b in 5 hours. I was correct. I did not specify number of... Whatever. It's absolutely easy to do.
  9. You can't know that script is running, and afk farming is bannable? Are you SUUUURE? Let's be clear, I think scripts are unethical and I will never personally use them. You may not know they exist or how to use them, but they are real. Further, this can and does happen. This is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of automation, what we do at my work is dramatically more complex, in terms of executable actions with machine learning and discrete outcomes. I will not show you how it's done, I already said that, and I don't care if you believe me.
  10. Did I ever say anything about 3, 2 or 1? I said inf per hour, period. I don't care how you spin it, that is total per hour and enough to fund a build. If what you do at 2.4m a minute is achievable, that's the REASON for the change. Math is easy. So is respect and actually reading.
  11. I absolutely guarantee you this is happening, and no, I will not show you how. I have, in the past proven everything I have claimed for builds, kill speeds, economic function, etc, so you're going to either trust me based on my track record or not, I really don't care, because I KNOW it's correct and happening... Multiple farmers can enter a repeatable mission that will go unnamed in AE, run by a script, with 6-2 "followers" we will call them. The map is cleared in minutes. The script exits all toons, pauses to check xp per toon, inf per toon and drops. If check < full or another % set, reset and repeat. When any condition of full, we will call it, is met, the script will "sell" all drops not called out in the "pick this up/keep this" list, and save the rest. If all saved drops/inf hits a certain % of max or max, depends on the line setting, the script will pause runs, email drops/inf and resume. Once a toon reaches 50+the vet threshold set, a similar process occurs with with emps. The toon is deleted, a new random is made and the process continues. This is not a complex script and can be set to run for any period of time specified. It can also be set to use visual queues that do not change any base code of CoH itself. If this can happen, then res ipso loquitur, a change is required.
  12. See quote from thread by someone else who asked for proof...
  13. Copied from the AE thread..... Okay, just did a test and here are my info and figures. Map - Biggs Comicon S/L Asteroid Characters - 3 Boxing MM - Robot/Electric, Robot/Time, and Robot/Kinetic Time to clear - 3:44 Total net Inf gained - 8,285,670 8,285,670/3.44= 2,408,625 inf/Minute Note - this is flat inf gain only, no drops/recipes were taken into account as it is random. Dunno if this will help as it is 3 boxing, but here it is. PS - the net Inf/Hour would be - 144,517,500, not taking drops/salvage into account. I wonder who said this?
  14. These numbers are reported by people.
  15. That's not a straw man, again, because the farmers, who make enough inf to kit a build without the conversion claim they don't and need it. It's an observation.
  16. I did read them all, fully. The point is if you run that alt to 50, you will have enough inf from actively farming them to 50 to fully kit them, if it takes 4-5 hours to do it. If you can farm up a door sitting alt in less time than 4 hours, that's not an argument to let someone convert emps, it's proof that AE xp reward scaling needs to be adjusted. And, if you have to run beyond 50 for emp wealth, you also earn more currency from that additional time farming, which brings us back to the beginning. Farming the toon up to 50 generates all the wealth you need in the activity itself, if that activity takes 4-5 hours at the average rate of return for fire AE farming. If 1-50 is faster than that, there's proof that AE rewards are skewed. None of which negates the fact that emp to merits can be exploited at the extreme.
  17. First, a straw man is not what you claim it is, what @arcane said was not a straw man because he did not make up a completely fictitious argument, assign it to someone then attack it; his supposition was an observation, which you COULD claim is fallacious and demand evidence, but it's not a straw man, sorry. Second, t's ok that you don't grasp economic function fully, but just because you don't believe it doesn't mean it doesn't exist and isn't true. The earth was spherical well before people believed that, true nonetheless. Res ipso loquitur, clearly the change speaks for itself in that a problem exists. Perhaps your posts get moderated because you have a penchant for needlessly insulting people? I mean, you could write all that stuff you just did, without the personal attacks, homeskillet. Or was the point to be vengeful?
  18. If farming with a multibox takes 4-5 hours to get that toon from 1-50, you will have 500m-1b inf once the toon hits 50. That's a full build, no emp conversion needed and we're right back at the beginning. Look, as I said I am in favor of keeping it but with a time limit, but for there to actually be a healthy debate, argent's have to make sense, right? If you door sit that alt, and your fire farmer runs, nonafk of course, how is it you DON'T have enough currency by the end of the power level? If you can ding 50 faster than 4-5 hours farming in AH, that's absolutely not a supporting argument for not having cash, it's a actually proof and support for the argument that AH has too high xp reward scaling. And, if you go beyond 50 to vet emps, that means you earned currency greater than the supposed "not enough" from the time it took to run that door sitter 1-50, back to the fact you have enough without emps. I'm all for compromise, but my hero, we gots to have us some kinda logics 'N shit, neh?
  19. My defense against hyperbole is overcap. You missed.
  20. You can earn them, solo, easily in various ways. And quickly, too. Every toon I have is self funded and most have min maxed builds. 86 merits by lvl 15, 150 by lvl 22, 300 by lvl 32. And that's just one path. All solo. another way is 20 merits in 6 minutes. None of this is task forces. then there's another way through ouro. There are many more
  21. The cognitive dissonance that @arcane spoke of is when farmers, who can generate currency orders of magnitude greater than any other way of playing, are also the ones complaining that they need the conversion to make more currency, because... Can't afford stuffs. Farming, which generates 2-4 million inf per minute on average, which is 120-240 .million per hour, is enough to fully min max any build in 3-5 hours. That's 500m-1b inf. Without bothering to convert anything or craft anything. Just farm, type AH and buy every single IO you need. No marketing, no converting, no crafting. Pure currency generation. FURTHER, multiboxing and farming emps means one went well past 50 which doubles the amount of generated currency because of the time spent farming, before emps conversion. So. Not one single farmer needs emp conversion to afford fully kitting a build. That's the dissonance. In fact, while I said its not optimal, disallowing emp to merit will reduce inflation, keep equilibrium prices stable and diversify market interaction in healthy ways. And, marketing might move currency around, but it actually causes deflation and lowers equilibrium price. Farming does not, it always causes inflation and an average increase in the equilibrium price of a basket of goods. Like I said, I favor letting the conversion remain, at a rate of 1 emp per 48 hour limit, so everyone can "play their way," which is often a thinly veiled attempt to justify taking advantage of something that DOES cause detriment for the collective, for selfish reasons.
  22. Idea 5 Give all emps to @Troo word to the mother.
  23. You just made two posts. One with salty One with butts. SALTY BUTTS Your bases are belong to us.
