Piggybacking this thread as I too have a /Regen Scrapper at roughly the same level. What about the Resist in Regen. What's best in that since it's just a +resist to all? Franken-slot it to boost just resists? Or is there a set worth using? Not high-jacking just a complementary inquiry.

I will eventually make a /SR hero. Just gotta think of something.

So... I was sort of complaining about how easy a Scrapper face plants and all that. Welp...as they say a good craftsman never blames his tools. So now that I know mobs better and actually understand the importance of set IOs, my Claws/Regen is pretty unstoppable. Was able to up the mission level and team size. Popped 22 so going to respec him and swap more slots over to Regen. What are some good IO sets for Claws? Thanks!

Don't really know what I've done. The other night we fought Calvin at the end. I get random invites, I've never actually used the LFG features. I'm trying to regear now to make myself more useful. But at under 50 I'm not sure how important that actually is. But on my main and highest level Brute I have mostly generic crafted IOs. Working on sets now....and I just found out there are melee procs...doh! So I was looking into those as well as starting to beef up my Radiation set resists, which I've been completely neglecting. See in my mind I thought Brute already had built in defenses that are good enough so I focused on my DPS. Only just stated slotting my Resists at level 45...live and learn.

Heck yeah paired up with a couple vets.... Just fair warning, my newbness shines brightest at the worst moments.

Thanks! Actually thank you all! Going to stick with it. I played more last night and after a better understanding, thanks to you all, I appreciated Ninja a good deal more. Now, hahaha I'm less sure about Martial Arts. Just kidding it fits the hero perfectly. It sounds like it's Stalker-lite, but with a few more benefits.

I have a MA/Nin just got him. But I was wondering after playing to level 8ish if SR would be better. I didn't know Nin came with a stealth, not sure I like it. With MA is one better at the end than the other? Also does the Endurance drain get any better? I didn't see any power that helps. I grouped with an MA the other day and the style looked really cool and he was hitting like a truck. Thanks!

From a very new person's perspective.... group runs are a whirlwind of confusion. I just switch to follow, target, kill, repeat. Most of the time I'm learning nothing especially if the team is big, just facerolling my keyboard hoping for that heal that I'm sure will come 1 second too late. I don't begrudge anyone anything and it's all part of the experience but fast runs feel more like a carry, and I suppose they are for me...being undergeard and inexperienced. I do at least, as a Brute, try to keep eyes on the Bosses and keep them on me, but that's all I'm cognizant of in every pull.

Haha I burn through inspirations at +0x3....doh! When you set up slots is def/resist for a Brute more important than melee? Is that maybe why I'm going through insp so much?

When you say beat them outside....is that without using any inspirations? Are there builds so strong you don't need them? Or is that a measure of your build's survivability?

Yeah well in this one case the highest level was 46, I was 43 and the only "tank" Brute in the first group and all I've got is a hodgepodge of enhancements and mostly all in melee...so not as tanky as I prob should be. The second group had an even lower level Brute, but the 2 of us managed alright. But there was a storm-something that could laydown a nasty effect that kept the baddies bouncing, good fun being right in the middle of that chaos. The lead had mission set on +4 or 3, because the mobs were all 50 and there were 3-4 bosses in every group and the mobs were huge but not sure what all he had setup. Oh and I know you like the Corr but what makes them so good? The raw stats just shows a little more healing with less melee than a blaster.

Yeah I fully understand that god mode is achievable, but the first group, me included, still have many miles to go before we can taste that ambrosia.

Yeah I get that and you had success doing that...but the first bunch I was with can't say that. The lead didn't start out with LOS pulls but if we wiped a couple times then he would.

Dump all white salv for 100, keep all yellow, and sell all orange for 400k. I vendor all enhancements.

So, I'm an old school, mostly solo'er, but good as a group player. I started way back when Team Fortress was using the old Quake engine. It was my first real online team up, then came SWG, then WoW. I was always in a guild but also solo'd alot. Any who... When did people stop playing tactics on missions? Just kidding but seriously LOS pulls seem to be a foreign concept to some. Especially if we wipe a couple times and people still keep face pulling mobs or not letting them aggro on the LOS pull. It's like everyone is running DPS meters and are in competition with each other for top spot. I just wanna pull, kill, repeat til the last bad dude drops. Group one rage quit even after the leader plainly explained what he was doing then they'd just do whatever and we'd wipe and they blamed him. I hung in there he regrouped and the second bunch paid attention and were an awesome bunch. Honestly, we palyed like we'd always teamed up. The second group revitalized my faith in puggers. Training operators today, they are currently testing so....idle hands hop on forums and type.... Oh what is the XP bonus in groups? I didn't realize that was a thing but I popped 2 levels fairly quickly.

Just the one with the global or up to the 4 piece set? 10 regen and 9 acc is pretty tempting. My Rad secondary doesn't have any def powers, all resist. So Combat Jump let's me have LOTG, but that's all I got.
