I looked around for it, and found that the door was, indeed, up my arse. At least it was a short distance away...:-)

Now THIS is gratifying: As someone who does a lot of AE scripting, it's nice to know the almighty mission creators are also slave to that nastiest of villains, the dreaded TYPO!

Thought as much. Nice to know, thank you. aTell you what…those freakin’ subjugators and mentalists and such just cratered my little ol’ Zombies MM. I’d been running on what I thought was pretty casual (+0/x3). Had to scale that stuff back pretty quick. Of course, it’s probably help if I bothered to build out the toon, and not choose powers by I’m running old school. Yeah, we’ll be dialing back the hubris a bit there.:-)

Major Viktory. Current version is SJ/WP. Scrapper. Red, White and Blue costume. Stars are present. His civilian name is Roger Stevens. Combat veteran. True leader. Of course, he has no shield, like my original version of him, so…he could be anybody…:-)

Not so much weird here, but... I exit from mish to find this guy pot shotting me on a hilltop. After he's down though, I'm thinking, Maybe I wasn't the primary target. Dude's all alone on a hilltop. He's obviously keeping in shape by sniping DE.

While this looks innocuous... ...it ain't. This is one of several mish doors in the Mr. G arc that have spawned in Ouro, once I could call him up (I don't recall why I logged out here in the first place, but that's a part of it, obviously). I've basically been running the last several Mr. G mishes here. When I TP'ed to hospital (after getting my arse kicked by those damned Praet mentalists), I ended up in Ouro, as well, thanks to that hospital TP behind the structure. Nice that everything is so close together, but very strange. Wonder what other contacts this would work on? Run a few mishes, then go to Ouro when you call. I'm guessing it may have something to do with many of Mr. G's mish doors being in the "supergroup base."

After watching Molly run both arcs this morning, caught a couple of typos. And had one of THOSE kind -- you know...where you have to redo the entire window because of formatting all the text. And you have to do it to insert 1 m***********g letter? Yeah...that one...:-)

TerroirNoir's "Cable Channel of AE!" Reviews. Part 2.

Heh. A “Shoom” call.:-) -
Background: L40-50. Piggy backs on RWZ arcs (is wedged between Gaussian and Dark Watcher). Ran on low and high end. My little L40 Regen scrapper (a Long Rider toon) had some issues. My L50 incarnate tank breezed, even at higher settings. I don't have anything in the 45 range I can use to run this (atm). The usual design notes (spoilers!)

Why was Statesman killed off again?
cranebump replied to OldSchool SC Fight Club's topic in General Discussion
An unceremonious curbstomp by a second-rate semi-vill on his way to temporary Godhood, delivered well before the finale of an overall poorly executed (considering its repercussions) arc. If you want to kill the guy, have him sacrifice himself in the final battle or something. I mean, really...Darrin Wade? -

TerroirNoir's "Cable Channel of AE!" Reviews. Part 2.
cranebump replied to TerroirNoir2's topic in Mission Architect
I tend to recall getting my ass kicked in Darmian Arcs, rather than the other way ‘round. Don’t get me wrong, I rarely outright die. But, by the time it’s over, Ive had more close shaves than Sweeney Todd -
A bit of that and first Dr Strange film I’d say.:-)

Finished 1st part of 2-Arc story. Am delaying release until both are done. Here's the capsule: [SFMA] Villainous you is recruited by Longbow straightarrow Sefu Tendaji in promise of a someday favor. But a murder in the stormy present quickly obscures your future prospects, by placing you at the focal point of a massive conspiracy disguised as a civil defense plan. Fancy that. Me doing a conspiracy arc.:-)

It may as well not be, since Johnny Sonata has those mystical protection wards surrounding it.

Then we better be f'in good, for f'in sake!

Prompting him to write If You Love Somebody, Set Them Free. I think that made Sting feel better about what happened, but the stalker song is still pretty popular. But it's not the worst wedding song. That would be this one: 🙂

TerroirNoir's "Cable Channel of AE!" Reviews. Part 2.
cranebump replied to TerroirNoir2's topic in Mission Architect
Molly, God Bless 'im, but he misses a ton. He's often not soloing, so I'm sure he's pushing through partially because he’s leading a team (and let’s face it — some of our stuff can be, erm...wordy [we're writing a story, right?]). Unfortunately you miss stuff that can enhance the story. For example: when he ran Cage Match, there were significant Mish begin/end clues that served as my version of "cut scenes," which, if read, would've foreshadowed the Mish 5's finale. When he did check his screen for them, he was a mish or two past when they were relevant, so he decided to skip them and move on. For my part, I was philosophical. I'm thinking, Okay, we probably could use those a bit less text maybe? At the same time, I'm thinking, Man...there's a lot of story missing here. In the end, I guess I had enough for the story to make sense, since Molly DID go on to part 2 (Grudge Match). That was really cool, as it meant he wanted to "finish" the story. BUT...he later mentioned doing the finale (Match Point), but never returned to it (pretty sure he did something from futuretails, whose stuff we seem to see almost every week, which, if nothing else, speaks as much to how nice Vale is, since the player-author is basically right there, nudging for their arcs to be run. From my perspective, it feels like a squeaky wheel thing. But who knows? It's Molly's channel. He can do what he wants. Way I look at it, if anything of mine gets run, esp. on Twitch, it's just gravy. The fact that a major portion of a particular episode in the stream is devoted to it is a public service. But, to be on point here -- make no mistake: TN's writeups are special. There is NO comparison here. It's its own kickass thing. It's part of Engineria's journey. There's a history there, like a sprawling set of novels. So, when it comes to whose space is the Regnum Rex of Reviews*, there's no contest. It's TN. *I'm fairly certain this is improper usage. -
Same. My redside char is running old contacts/mishes that I don't remember AT ALL, and I'm like, Huh...this ain't bad. Speaking of: Darla Mavis. This is a legacy contact, right? Recently ran this, and I swear to God, I don't remember her arc at all. (and man - she mean, y'all. I like it!).

Setting up allies BEFORE they can become allies?
cranebump replied to Ultimo's topic in Mission Architect
I don't think you need to tweak any of them, honestly. I didn't have settings cranked up all the way. Someone who wants the pain can always jack it up to +4/x8. I just did +0/x3. -
Setting up allies BEFORE they can become allies?
cranebump replied to Ultimo's topic in Mission Architect
I wouldn’t say they were all easy, but my brute was never in danger. I think the boss that started with a K (I want to say Korax, but I honest,y don’t remember) could have been tough if I hadn’t stunned him with my energy melee.did that to him twice. Malephor lasted a long time, but never made much of a dent in my health. I was playing a 50 Brute with no incarnate abilities, but lots of IO sets. -
Setting up allies BEFORE they can become allies?
cranebump replied to Ultimo's topic in Mission Architect
Finished the arc. Disposed of the bosses (ignored the patrols). That map's always a tough one due to visibility. Len aggroed one of the bosses and nearly disposed of them himself. I walked over and took out the minions. The only thing I might do is make boss objectives "boss only" defeats, rather than having to deal with the minions. They didn't fly away on me, but I can see something like that happening and maybe annoying some players. Overall, it looks clean and finished. Players who like taking out multiple mobs on open maps will enjoy the multitude of enemies. The ambush mish in the Praet tunnels was probably my favorite, since I had to think fast when the ambushes showed. Plus, one of the allies, Bargest, had such a long run to the exit, I kept picking him up as I went. He'd stop and say, "I smell something," and there'd be bad guys nearby, so it felt like he was scouting ahead. 🙂 -
Setting up allies BEFORE they can become allies?
cranebump replied to Ultimo's topic in Mission Architect
Just finished the ally mish. Picked up allies. Cit was a "prisoner" prior to the bait set. Then all hell broke loose. Handled it. Picked up Arc Flash and the MM. Ran into the enemy General on the way out. The team did a pretty good job wiping out stuff on its own. Allies were useful to deal with early ambushes. I was wondering why the general wasn't an objective, though. Some of the crew early on. P.S. One of the allies is a real dick.:-) (Oh, so you admit I'm right, etc.) Too bad I couldn't power crash him in the mouth.:-) -
AGREED! I totally forgot about this path. Did it before, some time ago. Fun and very effective. (Now I have to do one again, damn you).:-)
