I still remember from childhood when one of the Harlem Globetrotters pulled a spare tire for the mystery machine out of his afro. I'm not entirely convinced I didn't hallucinate it though, since that's all I remember from the episode that isn't actually from the TV Funhouse Globetrotters short.

So do we have no problem with
Spoilerthe planet so densely populated that only the super-wealthy and government officials can afford to live on the surface has a junkyard on the surface, much less one capable of taking on the wrecks of star destroyers? oh and plenty of cheap government housing up there for former imperial halfway houses? and the ships are moved there rather than to corellia or fest where we know they have shipworks? or to somewhere to be melted down and repurposed?

Not exactly a crossovers but the Dr. Strange where Clea hooked up with Ben Franklin. And there are some old Supes books where Don Rickles shows up at the Daily Planet.
The Columbo is definitely fan. Spotlight 9 is Captain Universe.

Personally not a fan of Waititi other than IG-11. Sorry.
I've missed that somehow. What'd they do, quote the opening of Ecclesiastes or something? (Turn, turn, turn...)
I haven't liked anything he's done other than Reservation Dogs, which is one of my favorite shows. Go figure.

The Feige one seemed rather vague. Hoping the Waititi one with the younglings doesn't get off the ground either cuz just ugh. And they also seem to be still going to let Rian Johnson touch the universe again, cuz that went so well the first time 🙃

I for one welcome our new pudding overlords. And there just might be an opening as they've cancelled the jenkins and feige movies.

Some internets figured out the writing on the tablet. Evidently they liked to drop Biblical quotations long, long ago in that galaxy far, far away. Because of course they did.

Got it. Didn't see him down in the bottom corner of my screen, partially obscured by giant water jug 😄

Enjoying it so far. Pretty much as m'learned coll says, but also...
- Slightly puzzled as to why IG-11 is the first side quest here, but I guess they want Taika back.
- The pirate band (y'arr!) looked like very good makeup with a little animatronic assistance - or someone went over every frame with a Photoshop airbrush removing any trace of CGI glitchery. As it looked like a practical outdoor set (and not The Volume) the light would be quite tricky to fix.
- I liked the purgills as a potential call-forward to Ahsoka. Wonder if Mando & co will show up in that too?
- Mandalore the Reforger still sounds like a good name for the Darksaber's owner.
- Bo-Katan's crew leaving adds to the embittered/dangerous/unpredictable vibe, and makes a harder job of rallying all the Mandos.
- With a quick Google, we discover Kalevala was Satine's homeworld, amongst other things. Oddly enough, it's also the Finnish creation legend, and tells of heroes who had to acquire new skills or magical song lyrics to complete their quests. Not sure we're gonna hear Pedro singing, but there's always new things to learn.
By the way - I'm not sure how long this is gonna stick around for, but have you tried Googling The Mandalorian?
Whatever it was must be gone, or I missed what I was supposed to be seeing.

No, you can only acquire one patron outside of ouro. Also there's no way I'm aware of to keep the mission after the boss is killed so you can't really have a dedicated toon for it like you can with e.g. anti-matter or siege. The way I'd usually get them for helping is to jump on with a lowbie when someone else announces they're doing quatrexin (or his equivalent in other arcs) then zip through or auto-complete up to that mission when that toon is high enough level and save it. It then gets marked as having it available on the almighty spreadsheet for when someone asks.

Was definitely lowered to 35. You don't have to be trained to 35 though. So you can ding 35, talk to Rein, do the arc, then take a patron power as your 35 power.

3x1 was a bit of a snooze. And hey Favreau
SpoilerAlligator jumping out of a lake to attack a kid is maybe not the best idea for a scene in a Disney show.

This makes for an even more brutal contrast within CoT, as their earlier units have access to some of the most potent defense debuffs ingame: location-based, autohit, coupled with slows. Nasty stuff! To go from that to nothing at all makes quite the difference.
I'm definitely with you on the weirdness of the contrast in strength levels. I just don't mind continuing to live with the quirkiness of it, especially given how widespread they are. Just think about how many TFs and arcs would be altered if they were buffed. Imagine the squishie corpses trying to kill vines on a pug MLTF or the added misery to whichever of the shard TFs has all the circle.
And maybe the low level ones are all the security and muscle the high level ones summoned and we finally worked our way up to the suits 😄

I think it's nice having options. You've got your cakewalk with council and your tougher options with arachnos, malta and carnies. CoT are a bit tougher than council and have more bosses. So they're the xp sweet spot for the high 40's. I'd routinely solo their papers when leveling a toon if no one was around to run something with.

I continue to find my enjoyment of the episodes to be in inverse proportion to the screen time of the main characters. Ep 7 was ideal for me.
-
Yeah I'm teetering on the edge of tapping out. Glad I stuck around to see ep 3 but I have no interest in the main story really.

I refuse to acknowledge that other folks have glowie sounds other than a loop of the chorus of 'Peg' by Steely Dan. Not remembering how to make them do that off the top of my head is one of the main reasons I've yet to install CoX on my new rig.

Ugh don't even mention an Ambush Bug movie as a joke. Was bad enough he got what miniseries he got in the comicals. Was ok as a guest appearance to annoy main characters here and there but the solo stuff is really painful. Same could be said of Lobo really, but he's at least good in the cartoons.
I'd love if Larfleeze showed up somewhere but it sounds like the Lanterns show is a limited scope detective show.
As far as the butts on seats/streams question - that's a toughy, as they seem to be banking on people wanting a DC MCU and having faith in Gunn to do it. But it seems like he's already trying to bring in analogs of stuff that wouldn't have worked were the MCU not already well established. And really as much MCU weariness as there is now it's not clear either bet is a particularly good one. Whatever is first out of the gate better be leagues better than Gunn's Suicide Squad. About all I can say for it other than 'meh' is it was way better than the other one and at least we got the Peacemaker show out of it. And of course there's the problem of the first movies out of the gate being things he's inherited. Blue Beetle's the only one I'm not actively dreading of the top row of that poster.

I worry that Nupergirl's powers include letting you know when you need new glasses and/or a new monitor.

Yeah I was just naming a few we know about off the top of my head. Having not cast a lot of this yet I just don't believe they're not going try to have a diverse group of characters, especially as they have barely any good will left.

Also, other than John Stewart and Supergirl his entire slate of main heroes are straight white men. So much for any kind of progressive diversity like Marvel.
Midnighter and Apollo are lovers in the comics. I'm not familiar with the rest of the Authority but presumably they're not all going to be cis white dudes. And I'd imagine the Amazon show will have the Bana-Mighdall Amazons and Nubia somewhere, plus y'know, no men. I highly doubt they're going to stick a whole rebooted universe out there with completely tone-deaf casting.

I shudder at Booster for dad joke reasons. I shudder at Brave & Bold cuz Damien and the whole thing about Morrison's Batman run being a 'favorite' (Keep Morrison on the weird niche stuff he's good at and out of the main books. For my money Batman never really recovered from that run.), but at least it's not a full series.
Glad to see Waller as she's probably my favorite comical booklet character and i like Davis's version. Lanterns, Authority and Paradise also sound interesting. The rest I could take or leave.

Evidently you can buy tickets through time as well now, as evidenced by the 'how to contact AOL' one.
Mandalorian Season 3

my point exactly - there's nowhere on the surface for dirty business. even if we don't dig into the extended universe stuff we've known since the prequels that the entire surface is ultra upper class.
now as to your other point, yeah it was boring. remind-us-again-how-slow-large-desert-animals-are boba scenes boring. i'm unclear if they just forgot how to edit or if they really thought they needed to extend these scenes just to make extra sure they rammed home the point that Pershing is easily groomed and that the new republic runs on cognitive dissonance. so far i still feel like they blew the meat of this season trying to make boba's series less boring and left themselves a bunch of sidequests. hopefully it'll pick up.
