Doctor Quadpaws.
That is all.

I thought it was ok. Was glad it wasn't their usual-of-late dad joke overload but it wasn't anything particularly stellar. Making the Man-Thing into Groot 2.0 was pretty lame.

I thought ep 5 was very good. The development in it actually feels like it has a point, unlike eps 1-3 which in retrospect seem more and more like they were glommed on to the real show because someone decided there should be an origin story.

I didn't mention it thinking it'd get bullet pointed but
SpoilerLooks like the Rakata are 'canon' now.

Yay ep 4 was quite good. Idk how many viewers they lost from the first couple eps but at least there's a reward for slogging through them.

Without too many spoilers here: yes, slow burn for Eps 1 and 2. But that fight sequence in Ep 3?
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED???
Meh, too contrived. And too little too late by that point in the slog.

Really hoping these eps were just prelude to a spy show as these bored the hell out of me as much as Boba's non-Mando episodes did.

About time? They just rebooted willow as Dr. Strange 2 this very year 😛

Do you have the frames limited to your monitor refresh rate? Might be churning out a billion fps just cuz it can. But of course it'd have done that before the update if that were the case.

So, Episode 3, The People Vs Emil Blonsky:
- As expected, Jen's blood is clearly a main McGuffin: one of the assailants is listed as Thunderball, which I guess confirms The Wrecking Crew. Also the fact that they're frankly rubbish villains.
You really needed a name drop to confirm
Spoilerthe guys with the glowing crowbar and the giant wrecking ball's identities? I'm ok with them being dumb thugs but they really should be more of a threat at least. They've become a bit of a punchline in recent years but early on they could give the Avengers a tough fight.

Someone was fooling around and switched her boots for the Mego Joker's.

Without a knowledge of the precise cause I'd not be so hasty to rule out naked goth bottling. Don't want to burn any nosological bridges.

Second ep was much better and more like what I was expecting. There's another mid-credits btw.
-
I found it very boring, which could be due to the high volume of period piece things i watch. I'd keep it and just pretend it was one of those were it not that I wince every time either of the leads are on-screen. I'll give it another week or two.

To be faaaiiiihhh, she wasn't claiming high levels of trauma, just showing that she's used to dealing with the anger she has in a healthy way. It was Bruce who expected her to have his extreme levels of anger without having had the extreme experiences.
-
Withholding judgement until the meat of the show, as most of the first ep was just trite. Ruffalo is just awful, hopefully that's all we'll see of him and his cgi too.

I'm interested by the fact that many have reccomend Inv. as I was always told it wasn't worth taking on anything but a tank or a brute because once could only achieve 75% resistance. Did something change?
The brute/tank/scrap version was issue 0. Stalker and sentinel got it waaaaay later and it's more streamlined with them. It still has the psi hole but is much easier to build for. It's relatively easy to softcap s/l/e/nrg/f/c. I don't even take the t9 and rarely even need to hit dull pain.

try energy/bio
electric melee/ is better on stalker and I find the stalker version of /invulnerability to be amazing. Stalker is probably the least awful kin melee but that's not saying much and you miss out on the set's gimmick.

Stalker would still be better than it was on live without those ATOs but not nearly as fun. Without those extra crits you're likely to fall back into the boring ass. strike, placate or run, repeat pattern. I'd do the blaster if you're not willing to at least slot the chance to hide in AS.

I'm skipping this as I don't like Neil Gaiman's stuff.
My daughter and I tried Good Omens as Terry Pratchett can be funny , but we both just found it boring and unfunny.
And I tried American Gods because it has Ian McShane in it, but just found it aggressively bad and stupid.
It's just not the stuff for me.
Maybe the abstract beings having existential crises genre just isn't for you 😜

I liked everything except Oswalt too, but I've disliked him in everything except MODOK, which he was born to play seeing as they're both giant floating baby heads. Other than that and the score being a bit much here and there, i thought it was very well done.

They just dumped the Blue Beetle movie and the GL anthology series too. If i may put on my foiled hat for a moment I'm thinking Batgirl could be a write-off now and finished for a streaming release in a few years after the inevitable 'release Batgirl' campaign. Admittedly I don't know how corporate tax write-offs work. But they know, and they're the ones writing it off.

I find it hilarious that it's called 'Born Again' when Matt's a NYC Catholic and 'born agains' is New Yorker lingo for Protestants.
But yeah really hope they change Karen's arc from the comical booklets. Really I hope they just use the grit without any of the story. S2 of the Netflix series had more than enough Miller for my taste.

Your 'younger' and 'grizzled' should be reversed 😛
