  4. @TrixieKixx I have readied Battle Priestess Vea, Arachnos Soldier-soon-to-become-Crab-Spider for this. Just need to think of a way how to make her full-powered-battle-armor look spy-like... EDIT: Decided on another toon that goes better with the theme. I will bring Arachnoir for the sinister spy part of this. Maybe, with this being such a short SF, we can have another go-around with a 2nd group of toons. Vea still would like to get her own Flames to toy around with. For the Wizards Weakness Tip, you have to run Sharkhead, right? Although the Tip mission itself is in Cap. And one of these days I seriously need to learn how to play those VEATs. I have completely ignored them so far...
  5. I throw in my try at this, for whatever it is worth. Not a pro, but I absolutely fell in love with that toon and its probably going to be my next 50. I actually play here as a relentless Blapper, assaulting into mobs with the Spring Attack and then hitting AoEs like there's no tomorrow. And then see what's left standing... So, softcapped Ranged and Melee Def was the primary goal, then take it from there... Am a little bit concerned about the level of endu consumption, but hey... where's the fun without the challenge.   7. @TrixieKixx Still noobing on the EATs, so I will simply bring my Peacebringer BarbarelIa again, the only Kheldian I have in that level range. Could of course always dig up one of the many lvl4 Kheldians I made and powerlevel them. But I think I am too lazy...

  9. Just wondering, aren't the Winter Packs supposed to go down in price for the winter time events? Been watching for the price drop, but every time I checked they were still going for 25M... Am I too early? Have I missed something?
  10. THanks for the write up! I think I recently stumbled across a comment somewhere else that mentioned the endurance drain effect of attacks and recharge, which I never really thought about. All my powers above a certain endu cost usually get some kind of reduction slotted, and I put all the neccessary parts into Stamina. But I used to walk into that same trap you mention here, focussing on bringing the toggles down while probably underslotting on the heavy hitters. Must say however that once a toggle comes in the 0,5/s and above range, I found that this IS noticable and needs some form of workable mitigation. Focussed Accuracy being the worst offender here, to the point that I have respecced out of it at times...

Or is anybody of your brutes going to take him on? @FrauleinMental @Midnyte Just in case, I have prepped Panzeropteryx, a Shield / Superstrength Tank in his vintage power armor. If I am not needed for tanking, I will bring Magmasaurus, my Water / Thermal Corruptor.

  17. I know you can build around travel powers. however, I like my toons to always have one just for thematic reasons. So here I go with Leaping bc I find combat jumping more usefull on a melee toon than Hover, take the Leap for travel, and then I am already qualified for Spring Attack. And I absolutely love that power as an opener to zoom into a mob and knock them down. Not too much concerned about the mediocre benchmark. I just like it for style 😎 I wasn't aware tho about the difference between Kick and Punch. What is the effect that comes into play here? And thx for the heads up on Tough, wasn't thinking about that either.
  18. Hi @TrixieKixx, count me in for saturday, but I am still somewhat undecided what I want to show up with... By default, I would be coming with Droidica MK5, this version being an Ice / Claws tank. Smashy looks! However, Mister DeWinter would be wanting that Ice Mistral badge. In this incarnation he is a Fire / Nature Controller, but all his powers are specced to Winter Theme. Don't know if that qualifies? It looks nice and icy πŸ™‚ I also have a little Storm / Ice defender, Icebloom Djinn, which I have been wanting to push some levels on for half an eternity, so kinda just will do that and see if I can get to 35. And then decide what I feel like going with when I get there...
  19. I have been looking for a build for my Invul / Spines tank (yes, it is because of theme), but haven't found any so far. So I tried my hand and used a SS build as basis. Needed to substitute some Winter IOs for classic Purples because of all the AoEs in the set, but money is not an issue anyway. On paper it looks quite ok, I think. But before I start respec and go shopping, I would like to get some feedback from the pros, especially on things like the proc slotting (Kismet and the healing procs basically... not sure if those work as intended?). Appreciate any suggestions on how this can be improved. Or just confirmation that this is the best Invul Spiner ever.   24. Thanks for the input. This here has really been my takeaway for most of the toons I got to 50 now. I usually get by without any slotting anything until I hit the 20ies, where I start to add standard lvl25 or lvl30 IOs to boost up hit rate, endu management etc. This is usually where I start to notice that your effectiveness takes a serious hit if you don't do something about it. And then I ride this out until I hit 50. At this point I have probably taken most of the powers from my primary and secondary, just to get to understand which mechanics I like and which powers hit hard and which don't, which pool or epic works well with the concept, etc. And then it is getting interesting, putting a build together and developping the complementary incarnate abilities. This is where I still use the help of other builds, which I tweak for the powersets and powers I want to use. I generally give thematic fit and concept the nod over efficiency, so my builds tend to be not super optimized. But the immediate power level jump from my "level-up" build to the Set IO build is usually so massive that I still feel god-like with the monsters that I have created! πŸ™‚ Money not being an issue for my builds is going a long way in supporting this playstyle, I have to admit...
