  1. I wanted to start an Ernesto Hess Task Force and had a couple of questions about it.

I attempted to talk to EH and he told me to talk to Lars Hansen.  Ok!  When I talk to LH, he tells me to talk to Gorgeous Glenda!?  Whoops!  Hold on!

    1) I'm vigilante, Lars Hansen is a blue contact in Striga Isle, and Gorgeous Glenda is a red contact in Cap au Diable.  What's wrong with this picture?  If I go talk to GG will she introduce me to LH?

    2) Can I launch this task force from Flashback and skip straight to earning the Buckholder's Bane badge?

Edit: Lol!  I can launch Lars Hansen's arc from Flashback (A Madman's Council, level 25-29!  That's good enough, right?

  2. In the final mission of Roy Cooling's "Bad People, Good Intentions" arc, there was a strange glitch with the map when you first enter the oil rig zone.  As I moved around on the lower platform it alternated between showing my correct location and putting me at the map's edge.

Edit: We used Flashback to do the mission.

  3. I have a badge with the description "Earn this badge by healing others for a cumulative 250,000 points of damage."  According to the mouse-over, I've healed others for over 19,000 points so far.

The confusion I'm having is that I'm a blaster!  The only "healing" power I have is an absorb buff (Spirit Ward from the Sorcery pool) and technically that's not a heal.  Does anyone know how a blaster could have healed others for 19K points?!

  4. Wow!  I was wayyyy off!  I wasn't even on moral missions!?  Thanks!

Hmmm...  Loyalists or Resistance?  They both seem pretty shady, to me!  The Protest zone event in Nova Praetoria is a peaceful protest from the Resistance and I always side with them.  The Great Escape zone event in Neutropolis has the Resistance constructing monsters out of who-knows-what and I always choose Loyalists there!

Edit: WOW!  I played the mission you presented above, but embarrassing what's-his-punk once was more than enough of him for me!  So I jumped down to "Destroy or not Destroy..." because the title just SCREAMED "moral mission."  Yay!  Now I'm starting to get into the BIG LEAGUE!  Praetor White doesn't remember me of course, because I'm in Flashback.  But I remember when he lay at my feet!  I really enjoy time travel!  Despite the costs...

...and, like others here, it took me several tries.

Same.  Several of the Accomplishment badges (redside?) have pre-requisites.  The Mr. G story requires you to have the Bane of Ajax badge from the very beginning.  Plus, you have to jump through a few hoops along the way.  Number 6's arc has some requirements for each mission.  Those are the biggest two (plus Vincent Ross' arc) that are more complex than a typical blueside click-through.

  6. I want to talk about the very end of Mr. G's 3rd arc "The End of a Yin" in the final mission "Choosing the Inevitable."  So if you're not wanting spoilers, stop reading!

I used the contact (ie: not Flashback) to do this story.

My toon read between the lines and saw Praetoria falling apart and decided to betray Mr. G and the Praetorian crew to the Vanguard.  This, despite the fantastic rewards gained from working with them, put her back on track for getting on the Vanguard's good side.  Naturally, Mr. G was unhappy with the new agreement and attempted to kill me.  Thankfully, I managed to defeat him.  Now Mr. G won't answer the phone (he's in Vanguard custody) and the only option available when I tried to call him was "Wu Yin's personal story."  Which I've already completed.

So I was wondering what changes this makes to the game...?  What if I had chosen to fight the Vanguard instead (and assuming I won, of course!)  How do choices work?

  7. I was running Primal Mr. G's (St. Martial) arc and was on part three of the second arc.  This means I was on arc "Sweeps Week; player vs Rogue Isles" and I was in the mission "Ratings."

One of the objectives is supposed to be "Rescue Dean MacArthur" but this didn't even show up!?  Did I miss something?

Edit: I already have the Bane of Ajax badge (which means I've already completed Dean MacArthur's story arc.)

2nd Edit: Oh, man.  I think I've figured it out.  I didn't have the Bane of Ajax badge prior to the 3rd mission.  I bet that spoiled the badge!  Lol!

  8. I want to see enhancement drops removed.  If they can't drop IOs, then I'm not interested.

It's really sad to think that a level 54 enemy is dropping an SO.  I bet that enemy doesn't farm or play the market, either.  And probably complains to his buddies how players have more enhancement capabilities than NPCs.

The idea radio missions are less efficient by orders of magnitude has to be the strangest thing out of this thread so far.

Radio missions are... missions. In which you fight normal enemies. Who give the same amount of exp and inf as every other enemy in the game.

(Except AE, where enemies actually only give *half* of the inf and exp.)

There's nothing special about radio missions that makes them unsuitable for generating large amounts of influence. Crank the rep as high as you can handle, get going, and you'll see the goods coming.

What is more likely: pickup groups where people stand around doing nothing until they have 8 players, then spend a few minutes picking a Council mission specifically, then go to the mission, then wait at the door for everyone to get in, then look at each other silently until someone finally gets started... then repeat the process from scratch after the mission is done because 1 or 2 players had to go...

These groups? Yeah, they won't make much influence.

This isn't a problem with radio missions.

I normally only participate in PI radio missions.  When I run them, I'll probably kick it off at 6 players and recruit along the way.  I can usually cycle Council missions pretty quickly except when the random number generator gets mad at me.  I'll pick up a Circle of Thorns mission if I can't find Council quickly.  I'll recruit any level (even level 1.)  Because I'll take any level, I always set my difficulty at +2/ and let the players ask for higher.  I've also noticed several PI radio missions accepting any level on the LFG channel, so this isn't uncommon.  At some point I'll remind people of the exp booster.  It's been my observation that most, if not all people who participate in these missions don't make *any* inf because of the exp boosters.  But when I'm running them I sure do!  😉

So anyway, when I'm leveling I only do PI radio missions.  I never make any money when I'm not running them, but I make money in other ways so it's not a problem.

  10. This is my first MMO.  I started in May 2019.  By July I was generating hundreds of millions in a matter of days and was spending it as fast as I made it.  I've seen a direct correlation between people who don't farm or play the market and are broke.

But even begging for money is profitable in this game, so I don't understand how people are so successful at not making inf.

  11. I was given the task of recruiting this guy.  So I head to the mission and stealth it.  And I found him!  I cleared the enemies around him, but aggroed a nearby group.  While I was dealing with them, Sir Lucane says "I'm free" and runs off!?!?  Then I couldn't find him!?  I cleared the map and still couldn't find him!  I went outside to see if the red marker had changed locations, but it was still on the building I found him in.

Is there some kind of glitch?  I noticed some of the enemies ran out of the building while I was clearing it.  Did I miss something?
