  1. Valiance Online is the third /fourth game that was spun out of CoX. I think it has gone the furthest out of the major three spin-offs, and seems to have the most focus. I can be wrong about this, as I only really look into them once every 3-6 months if I remember them.
  2. A couple notes I am seeing, as I have played a lot of /Psi and a bit of plant. but not together. /Psi works best in melee range, Probe, TK, Lance, Shockwave are you bread and butter for damage. I have tried the range options and they are relatively underwhelming, Subdue could work for the cycle if you put in the +dam ATO into it, other than that the rest are mid. My preference for Dom, Res > Def. With the Psi Epic you get a lot of Resistance in S/L and Psi, with other buff you can get solid resistance numbers, and then layer 25-30% def on that which makes you super tanky. Link Minds is overslotted, you only need 2-(extreme) 4 slots in it. Put in a LoTG 7.5 and Def/Rech, if you want some spice To-hit/Rech to fill it out. Finally end drain is nasty high, I do not think with my Ice/Psi build runs that high in end drain. Unless you are running Destiny lore, you are going to be running out of blue quite a bit even at perma dom, and the drain stuff, as you should always keep in mind you just might miss with DP. Also I like to toss in some Winter TOs as well like melee and melee AOE for their bonuses as it help out when diving into melee.
  3. While I am not a fan of corporate overlords and all that. Creative copyright is still a thing and should be upheld not for big corps, but for the artists themselves, as it gives them the tools to help against people abusing and taking advantage of this work. Since this game is already in the grey area of IP copyright and artistic copyright it is best to let sleeping dogs lie. There are other servers that will fill this need if you want, but you are poking the bear or Mouse in this terms. Companies like that are very crucial to their IP and identity, while they may ignore this place for now making reasons for them to look this way is dumb.
  4. Can confirm time freezes here all year or deep in fog unless it is Canada Day, Thanksgiving or Boxing Day.
  5. So I fired up another stalker recently and was thinking what is the usual standard for slotting the ATOs, right now I have assassin mark proc slotted in my T1, and then have the other ATO currently three slotted in two powers to fill up with procs. But I have seen a lot of builds just go full six slotted for each ATO. I was tempted by the 5% to S/L defense but it looks priority of that has lowered a bit. Just wondering what is the best way to use these ATOs for the stalker. If it matters I am running an ice/rad build.
  6. So do you feel with the Primary and Secondary level requirement lowered helped get you to be perma around 25, and not having to sacrifice a lot of natural power?
  7. Yeah from what I have seen Purp, PVP, ATO, and possible Winter IOs exemplar down to at least lvl 10 set bonuses. So usually 30-35 is easy to be perma dom 20+ is more of a chore. It is kind of doable but respecing for low content on Dom is usually rough as you said losing just a few powers does hurt the damage chain. I usually have my dom builds work from 35-50 as that is when they can excel the most with perma dom and access to pets and most crucial damage powers. If I am running lower it usually can handle stuff cause of proc attacks, and the prestige powers but you loose some gause without the bonus mag on control powers.
  8. Plant/Earth is extremely fun when I leveled it, and feels nice and crunchy with the melee damage it brings and fun for proc'ing also seeds is kinda gross on what it does. Ice/Psi is a personal favorite as it lives in melee and and all about the scrapping, usually stacking a lot of slow and -rech keep people at bay, also the flash freeze is a nice proc bomb to open up combat. I have no experience with it, but I remember seeing someone talking about ice/savage being a very scrappy build which can wreak havoc on mobs. With a lot of soft control ice brings which is had for mobs to avoid - mainly knockdown with ice patch and the aura confuse, which is great now with Perma-Dom. Looking on the wiki the melee focus of savage plays nicely into this, with a self heal effect and damage boot.
  9. I will add to what carroto has said. It made me want to roll an earth/ Dom, and man earth is quite impressive. I went out of using melee and focus on range with an earth/fire Dom but Stoney is just a tank for so much. I followed some of you ideas especially with spirit ward and the guy was tanking mobs at +4/5 relatively easy. I am excited to see how this goes against AVs.
  10. Yeah, it is fine I have done long fights against AVs and planned out powers I turn on and off to manage endurance consumption. Is there others that are easier yes, but as I said in my post it takes planning and a bit of what you want to run and handle as you have to expect you might miss a drain. If it means turning off AA for a little bit then you go with that, and run other toggles for consistency. Also if you are worried about missing Psyche, the destiny Endless incarnate to cover end issues. Frankly Incarnate powers fills the two big holes you have, AA end consumption, and the Psi high res targets. You may not be a titan or easy mode for AV hunting but it is doable. Just to add, I feel HP management is more crucial first then end management for long AV/GM hunts. As your pet has no taunt effects you are gonna hold aggro a lot, with the HP pool as it is, an AV can knock you down pretty quickly. So running */*/Psi is very nice for that as the +Def and +Res layering makes taking a hit not as punishing. I have run other epics like /shield, /ice, /dark and always fell back to /psi as I like the mix of defensive parts.
  11. I run and Ice/Psi dom and have done solo AVs, many of times maybe not GMs, but I find those boring slogs. It is all about using powers to take advantage of the situation you are in. With Mind Link and Psi sheild, you should have solid S/L resistance and defense, it is making sure you know who you are fighting at the time. The -slow while resisted a bit from AVs can help, and the Psi damage can be helpful at times. For the OP, Ice/Psi/Psi is a great combo, it really shines on mobs with the confuse aura and the knockdown it brings. tough at times with robots, or other high-psi resistant enemies, but incarnates can help fill some of the holes with in the interface slot. I do not have access to mids on me so I cannot aid much on what you have built, but as others said IOs in Mind Link is the best way to move for that, melee is your best friend for builds and abuse drain psyche as much as possible.
  12. Two I feel are highly bombtastic and fun from either side Red - Máistir Fiach Blue - Nameless Witch
  13. Fully agree with this on Psi Mastery, it is a great swiss knife for layered defense protection. The Res shield is fantastic for S/L/Psi which favors melee Doms as resistance is godly I feel for Doms. Early Mez protection while building first hit of Dom is great. The Mind Link for a nice bonus of +Def and +to-hit, which will usually sit around 25-30% def with IOs adding on the great Res you have, makes you quite tanky. Also Psi Tornado has great mitigation with KD effects which helps more for the soft-lock. Also slapping 7.5 LotGx2 into two low slot powers is amazing.
  14. Yeah, I have played around a lot with different epics for the build, but I always fall back to /Psi epic. I feel with Ice it gives a little bit of everything to round out the build. With the buffs to Artic Air getting Domination bonus now, it is magical.
  15. I will add Kat/Regen a great combo, for the great animation time, but also for Divine Avalanche with the huge boost in melee defense it gives the toon.
  16. I mean yes it could be Lucifer, but Aragagi was my first idea. For the Poll, Plant is probably the best imo, then Psi, probably Psi for epic as well. I have my my dom combo I love the most probably is my ice/psi dom.
  17. From what people have said, Sentinel seems to have the best version of regeneration, because of the overload of health buffer you can get. I have not tested it out myself so I cannot talk too much about that. I have done regen on stalker and scrapper, and personally I enjoyed it and felt it was a fun set to play around with and have fun as I like the more reactive gameplay at times. The key thing is always to offset the initial Alpha strike, which can be looming for regen as you said low def/res values, it is possible with planning and using of course epic powers and incarnate system. Stalker had some fun utilizing stealth and their alpha strike to remove major problems, but the low HP cap it originally had made is glass canony at times. Is regen alone good enough to mitigate damage taken, if you have a massive HP pool it is possible, so brute does have the advantage there, but usually having a mix of layered defense will help it out, aside from the low level amount of endurance consumption the set offers too. If you take it in a vacuum, with no knowledge of primary, against a mix of enemies it will be a yes and no how it handles, some will wreck it with -regen or -recharge, while others will not be much of a fuss.
  18. Ice/Psi I think can run without the need of Cardiac as Drain Psyche helps out a massive amount and perma-dom will give a refresh for you. I cannot say how Artic Air and other secondaries would handle. For my Dom, I use Intuition, it is a good jack-of-all trades for Dominator hitting a lot of stuff Doms want to enhance. Any other holes are filled up by Destiny Barrier now to cap out the last bit of resistance.
  19. With Ice/ as a primary End is always a challenge with Artic Air being a hog. I have played around doing a smattering of AVs (usually +1 or +2) stuff and of course high end content. I reworked the Epic's from Psi to Soul, and cleaned up some of the end hunger it had as I originally tried to push more Def, after coming back from the Def overhaul that happened. The build of course is perma-dom with perm-haste, global acc and to-hit seems is solid from what I recall in my head. I was more pondering what the kind of average is.
  20. I did have it like that before roughly 5 +5 pvp IOs, and an ACC IO, but with some recent changes, I took a chance in running it as five-slotted. I was just thought of Hami/D-sync today and was wondering if anyone just does some franking on it.
  21. Hey all, After another rework on my Ice/Psi dom, I have drain psyche set with 5 slots, as it was a bit tight and could not find another power to remove the slot from to make it a six slot power. I have it a bit frankenslotted a bit, but nothing too fancy which I think could do a bit of improvement. I was wondering how people usually slot drain psyche for them. I suspect ACC/RECH are main focus then HEAL/END afterwards. To note it is currently setup like this: Touch Nictus: ACC/HEAL. ACC/END/HEAL, HEAL/RECH - Efficiency Adapt - ACC/RECH, END/ACC
  22. Well, most comics or series/media that goes long enough will eventually fight some sort of cosmic entity as they need to keep up threat and danger which will continue to bring people in to watch/read. In games where they need two lures which usually is power draw to keep people in for progression, then a threat which justifies the new power it will always happen. This is doubled down in MMOs as they need a constant churn of money from monthly subs or microtransactions. So there is enough cosmic entities we have in the world now if you look into the lore and see notes that are scattered around, we do not fight too many of them, but it would be a natural progression for this to happen, as when live they need to make money and keeping everything the same power wise people would get bored and leave to go somewhere else, so there is natural power progression with a new big bad always showing up. Now for their story and lore, who knows how well it should be in the end as we only have AMAs and certain notes on what they planned to do, which as always plans change all the time and get altered/edited as time moves along. So for the most part is speculative on what Live would of been as it has been several years of the game being dead, which you could say was the ultimate entity - time.
  23. I have done some random zone PVP before it was Freemium setup, and times during the HC years it was an interesting balance for the most part. While Live I played on Triumph where there was a small PVP crowd very few were toxic but for the most part it was fun. I had a couple friends IRL which would go into zone to team PVP. Hell even times when we were hunting for badges, we had some fun PVP chicanery and if we asked some people were fine just letting us do our things. Was I good a PvP? No, I probably did not have a very good build for it, but it was fun especially after i13 work. I have done a little bit of PVP work when I was doing some badge hunting in RV, and it felt mostly the same as before, but with the small base comparatively and no connection to some of the players it felt more hollow. As a lot of people who PvP'd did a lot of PvE too and setup a lot of the great challenge runs or high end work at the time. At a certain point, it just felt hollow, as I enjoy zone PvP more at the time when it was busy and you could feel swings like this, Arena was never my interest as I felt it did not have the hero vs villain tropes that hit me properly. Would prismatic ethers change my opinion and get me to PvP more? Nope I fell I am over it in the game and moved on. Also not being an exact fan of the ethers as a grind for really nothing is not my interest when it comes to grinding in games.

    Melee Dom

I cannot say much about /savage but I can upvote on Ice/Psi, as Psi is built to be in melee with the best powers being melee and PBAOE, the Artic Air aura with the domination update is great for keeping control, then soft controls of KD and slows make it very nice and scrappy.
