  1. On a similar note, Stun/Disorient, using two different words for the same effect.
  2. I've always just made a beeline for the front door, and that's gotten me out with no problems, every time. For a long time, I wasn't even aware that I was supposed to follow any NPCs to a different exit, as the text doesn't exactly make that clear.
  3. I've run into an odd issue twice in the last couple of days, where I have been Immobilized while fighting the Circle of Thorns (not certain which particular mob is casting it), and when attempting to free myself using a Liberate inspiration ... nothing happened. I don't mean that I used the inspiration and it didn't work. I mean that I couldn't even use the inspiration. I clicked on it multiple times, but it didn't activate. I'll note that the description for Liberate (and its lesser equivalents) specifically states that it can be used while under control effects (and, in any case, Immobilize shouldn't prevent inspiration use).
  4. The closest I've come was two characters who are sisters. I didn't intentionally create them as sisters; rather, I decided upon that some time after the fact, when I realized their codenames were similar: The hero White Orchid (Energy/Energy brute) and the villain Bruised Violet (Dark/Dark brute). I was also inspired by the fact that they were both black, both brutes, and both Magic origin. So I came up with a common backstory for them: Joselin Beltre and her younger sister, Carmen, grew up as orphans on the streets of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. As teenagers, they were abducted by a magic-wielding madman who called himself "El Demonio", who kept them captive for several months and subjected them to horrific magical experiments. As a result, both of them manifested magic-based powers, and soon after they were able to use those powers to overcome El Demonio and escape. The two sisters fled to the United States, finding a home in Paragon City. Using their newfound abilities, the sisters took up crimefighting, under the names White Orchid & Blue Violet, and Joselin was always a bit concerned that Carmen was too brutal when subduing criminals. During the Galaxy City disaster, the two got separated, and in the aftermath Carmen disappeared. Unbeknownst to Joselin, Carmen took up Arachnos' offer of assistance, and now lives as a villain in the Rogue Isles, where she is known as "Bruised Violet". (above copied from White Orchid's bio) The in-game bio feature doesn't have enough room to go into much detail, so most of the backstory is in my head. The main "moral" difference between the two is how they came away from their captivity. Joselin was determined to make sure nothing like that happened to anybody else; Carmen was determined to make sure nothing like that happened to her again. Basically, White Orchid became a protector, while Blue Violet became an avenger. This created tension between the two, and Carmen deciding to head to the Rogue Isles (and letting her sister think she was dead) wasn't, in Carmen's mind, a turn to villainy. Rather, she saw relocating to the Rogue Isles as an opportunity to enter a "target-rich environment", where she could unleash her full fury on criminals without anybody telling her to tone it down. She built herself a fearsome reputation amongst the criminal element there. When she moved to the Rogue Isles, she changed her codename to "Bruised Violet", and adopted a purple & black color scheme instead of her old blue & white. But, eventually, Carmen mellowed out a bit, and started to miss her sister. She quietly returned to Paragon City, but didn't immediately reconnect with Joselin. She renamed herself "Blue Celestina" (I had to do some research to find a blue flower that is native to the Dominican Republic) and went back to a blue color scheme. She's a bit reluctant/ashamed to actively seek out her sister, but quietly hopes they'll just bump into each other. Or maybe White Orchid will hear about this "Blue Celestina" hero, recognize the Dominican flower, and seek her out.
  5. I got the badge on a level 33 Ice/Fire tanker in IP. Actually decided to see how long she could last, and managed to stay alive long enough to take out most of the minions before the WL himself finally clobbered her.
  6. More Ms. Mars, now that she is my 54th level 50! That's the Solar Angels SG emblem on her shield.
  7. No, I'm referring to a specific issue in which particular, random characters find every mission spawning a majority of +1 (relative to Notoriety/difficulty setting) mobs. Like, I could do missions on one character and almost all mobs in every mission are +1, then do the same missions on a different character of the same level, and all or most of the mobs spawn at the correct level. Then go back to the first character, and once again I'm fighting at +1. And once a character has manifested this "glitch", it remains even through logouts. I have noticed, though, that any "final boss" and its minions always spawn at the correct level. And the glitch typically seems to correct itself by the mid-20s.
  8. Oh good, so this was already known? I posted a bug report about it after looking around to see if it had already been mentioned, but didn't see anything. As a possessor of, at this point, 145 alts, I can safely say there has always been a weird issue where some characters, for some reason, end up with every mission spawning mobs at +1 to whatever their actual notoriety setting is. It's just odd that it seems to affect some characters but not others. Especially annoying on that one Midnighter mission in Steel Canyon to rescue Lady Jane, and you find yourself in a cave stuffed with those large demon/ghost lieutenants with their -ToHit debuff auras and all conning orange. Though that glitch does seem to mostly go away after level 20 or so.
  9. Are the new, higher difficulty settings working as intended by not giving larger rewards? I just ran several repeatable missions in DA, and I got the same 5,664 inf for minions and 19,425 inf for lieutenants regardless or whether my difficulty was set to +4, +5, +6, or +7. If this is correct, then I'm not sure I see the point of the higher difficulties. Same rewards, it just takes a bit longer to get them. I'll note that I also didn't get a single recipe or enhancement drop, though that may be simple RNG bad luck.
  10. Any idea why these clues are still bunging up my Clues list, past level 40? These seem to come from the Shining Stars arcs, specifically Part 2. This character has completed parts 1 & 2 (confirmed by the fact she has the Fort Trident teleport), but has not done Part 3. It would seem these clues weren't cleared once this character completed the arc. I have numerous other alts that have completed Parts 1 & 2 but not 3, but they don't have these clues hanging around. Not sure why this particular character does.
  11. Looks like this is fixed! Thanks for the help!
  12. Okay, after uninstalling Smog Free CoH, Peregrine Island's sky looked nice and bright. I did an indoor mission, and when I came back out the sky was still nice and sunny. Same sky in Talos Island, and it appears to be the same sky in the "Jamison Office Park" outdoor mission map. So yeah, it looks like the Smog Free CoH mod interferes with Never Dark Skies.
  13. All other mods are working correctly. However, it occurred to me to look at other environment-altering mods, and I had the "Smog Free CoH" mod installed. I've uninstalled that, perhaps there is a conflict between the two mods. I'll check once I'm out of my current mission.
  14. Support Bundle uploaded. Corrupted Mod installed, game crashed.
  15. I've successfully used the Never Dark Skies mod in the past, but now it doesn't seem to work. Well, it works in Dark Astoria (very nice zone, when you can actually see it). I added the mod again to override the constant nighttime during the Halloween event (I absolutely can't stand constant nighttime, especially for an entire month). That had worked in the past, but did not work this year. Thinking that this year's changes to the Halloween night cycles were interfering with how the mod works, I uninstalled it and waited until the event was over before reinstalling it. Alas, it still doesn't work. Except, as noted, in DA.
  16. Ms. Mars' latest costume:
  17. Finally got around to making this guy. Raserei Grammatiker! (aka "Grammar Nazi") Psychic Blast/Time Manipulation corruptor EDIT: Kinda annoyed that there's a Council emblem in the chest symbols list, but not a 5th Column emblem. Also really wanted to name him "Raserei Ubermenschen Grammatiker", but the first two words by themselves hit the length limit. Darned NPCs can have longer names than we can.
  18. Heh.
  19. This one took a bit of fiddling with Gemini. Here's the original image: Prompt: First ask me to upload an image and then create a comic book cover action pose based on the figure in the image. Title the comic book, "Erdmädchen", and depict her smashing Jaegers from videogame "City of Heroes" Which got me this: Cool, but wrong jaegers. So I had it repeat with a guide image for the jaegers, and got this one: Much better!
  20. My first attempt at a comic book cover. It got the book dimensions wrong, though. Source image: Result:
  21. Well, it's working now after I did a hard reset to my browser's default security/privacy settings.
  22. Oops, I did it again! Yet another new 50 (#52). As you can see from her bio, this only took six years. Venus Lass (Fiery Blast/Electricity Manipulation blaster) Her colors were originally blue & red, but at some point after level 40 I decided to change the red to orange.
