  1. Hamidon reward selection window uses the word "purchase" twice, but nothing is bought or sold in this window. Should say "choose" or "select" instead of "purchase" to avoid confusion.

Heroes and vigilantes automatically get Shauna Stockwell as a contact upon training to level 7. All characters automatically get Mistress Maria and Archmage Hellewise as contacts upon training to level 29. Villains and rogues automatically get Arbiter Rein as a contact upon training to level 35. As a result, these contacts take up space in the Find Contact list, but don't usually have any benefit for being there. Possible fix: Remove Praetor White, Shauna Stockwell, Mistress Maria, Archmage Hellewise, and Arbiter Rein from Find Contact. (Mistress Maria and Archmage Hellewise's levels are off, but should be corrected elsewhere.) Starter contacts Matthew Habashy and Operative Kuzmin are on Find Contact from 1-10. Their arcs scale up to 10, but they only offer their arcs from 1-7. As a result, level 8-10 players get introductions to contacts who give no missions. Possible fix: Change Matthew Habashy's and Operative Kuzmin's level ranges on Find Contact from 1-10 to 1-7. Mr. Bocor Mr. Bocor is on Find Contact from 6-10. His arc scales up to 10, but he only offers his arc from 5-9. As a result, level 10 players get an introduction to a contact who only gives a couple of missions, then won't give them an arc. Also, level 5 players might run paper missions to unlock him, not knowing they can get him for free at 6. Possible fix: Change Mr. Bocor's level range on Find Contact from 6-10 to 5-9. Eagle Eye Eagle Eye mentions the finale of Shauna Stockwell's arc as already having happened, so he comes chronologically after her. The Find Contact button lets players sequence break, which might be confusing. Possible fix: Remove Eagle Eye from Find Contact. City Representative Like Mr. Rodney, the City Representative is a legacy cape and aura unlock contact. Unlike Mr. Rodney, she doesn't appear on Find Contact, and one of her missions is 1 of 3 locations required for an exploration badge. As a result, players are unlikely to ever discover the 3rd location for that badge without outside help. Possible fix: Add City Representative to Find Contact for heroes and vigilantes from 20-50. Sharkhead Isle contacts Find Contact introduces one of the original broker-unlocked contacts in every level tier except for 20-24. As a result, contacts in the 20-24 level range are harder to unlock than every other range. Possible fix: Add Captain Petrovich to Find Contact for villains and rogues from 20-24. (Adding Lorenz Ansaldo or Vince Dubrowski would disincentivize working with them during Vincent Ross's arc.) Neutropolis contacts Find Contact introduces Aaron Walker, Bobcat, and Crow from 12-20, but their arc ranges are 14-20. As a result, level 12-13 players get an introduction to contacts who give no missions. Also, Dr. Hetzfeld is the first contact in the Neutropolis Power storyline, but doesn't appear in Find Contact. Players following the Power storyline may accidentally skip him. Possible fix: Change Aaron Walker's, Bobcat's, and Crow's level range on Find Contact from 12-20 to 14-20. Add Dr. Hetzfeld to Find Contact for loyalists from 14-20. One-over contacts David Wincott is on Find Contact from 5-15. His arc scales up to 15, but he only offers his arc from 5-14. As a result, level 15 players get an introduction to a contact who only gives one mission, then won't give them an arc. Veluta Lunata is on Find Contact from 10-15. Her arcs scale up to 15, but she only offers her arcs from 10-14. As a result, level 15 players get an introduction to a contact who gives no missions. Seer Marino is on Find Contact from 15-20. Her arc scales up to 20, but she only offers her arc from 15-19. As a result, level 20 players get an introduction to a contact who gives no missions. Golden Roller is on Find Contact from 15-20. His arc scales up to 20, but he only offers his arc or any other missions from 15-19. As a result, level 20 players get an introduction to a contact who gives no missions.   6. This has been nice for testing on beta server, since I'm frequently rolling an rerolling characters. I imagine it'll be equally nice for people on live server doing live server things.
  7. Both Freezing Rain and Sleet inherit in Page 7. If reduced slows are a side effect of inheriting, wouldn't both Freezing Rain and Sleet have weaker slows in Page 7? Using Defender as a baseline, only Sleet has weaker slows in Page 7. Freezing Rain's are unchanged.   8. Cairn fix looks good to go, at least for Primal Earth DE. No more headaches and near-softlocks from 3 cairns resist capping each other.
  9. What Luminara said, and also Homecoming added a non-stacking regeneration proc to it, while keeping it non-unique. It's unnecessarily confusing to have two effects with different stacking rules, and have one be a proc and the other a global bonus, and call the regen part a "bonus" when it's a proc and not a global bonus. I feel like the wiki page might need a diagram, it's so unusual and complicated. But it's intentional, such that it is.
  10. During Hatchet's arc (and possibly others), players receive a Ghoul LT ally with the power Marked for Death. Marked for Death grants an enemy target a temporary power, also called Marked for Death. This temporary power is a taunt aura. Therefore the Ghoul LT indirectly taunts the allied player, but the taunt is glitchy. There's some kind of UI targeting problem, either not seeing which target is actually taunting the player, or perhaps seeing Taunted messages without actually being taunted. Potential fixes could be to make an ally version of the Ghoul LT without Marked for Death, or make the temporary taunt aura power only taunt NPCs. The navigation text for the mission says "Defeat Rikti Crey's Folly". It should say "Defeat Rikti in Crey's Folly".
  12. Other than old pseudopets, I can't think of a pair of buff/debuff powers, pre-2012, where one is strictly worse than the other. Which leads me to believe that was intentional. I can imagine the old devs giving Sleet a lower endurance cost, or better slow, or larger radius, or some other minor benefit, vs. Freezing Rain's better resist debuff. Perfect, no; surely player opinion would be Freezing Rain's better. But there'd be no strict inferiority, and an attempt at elegance. Well, at least the story I'd tell future players would be more elegant. "Freezing Rain's better at resist debuffs, Sleet's better at XYZ". Not "Freezing Rain's better than Sleet at everything, because Cold was FotM for problematically difficult content back in '23, so Issue 27 Page 7 took a hammer to it."

Was this inadvertent? Second, although Defender Sleet's numbers have always been worse than Defender Freezing Rain's, that was because Issue 6 copypasted the weaker Controller version of Freezing Rain to Sleet for Corruptors (which was fine), then Issue 12 copypasted Sleet back to Defenders without giving it better stats (which was not fine). The Page 7 changes would extend the weirdness of Sleet being strictly worse than Freezing Rain, apples-to-apples, for all archetypes. To avoid that, you could make Freezing Rain better at resist debuffs, Sleet better at something else. Slows or end cost perhaps. Or you could make Sleet equal to Freezing Rain, as it was for all ATs except defenders.

And if there's the potential to add second roles for archetypes, it might help to focus on the "needy" categories, Support, Control, Melee Damage.
  18. In practice, maxhp is a buff, absorb is a heal. Proactive vs reactive. This makes Frostwork a different power: a single-target heal for 80% as much as Absorb Pain, with 4x the recharge. Downside, this doesn't pass the laugh test, so expect Frostwork to remain unpopular and skippable. I'm weird and I'll keep it, but it'll be out of my buff rotation. Upside, players who hate Frostwork as an underwhelming buff but love Frostwork as an underwhelming heal can go ham on recharge and add a Panacea proc to try to make it work. I doubt it'll be effective, but I'm sure someone will find it fun.

Enemies in the front of the warehouse have the following dialogue: In this context, the "he" is the player character. But "he" is the wrong pronoun if the player character is female. (I tested this with both a male and a female hero.) The enemy should say "he" or "she" depending on the player character's body type.

  21. I'd guess it's mainly for more damage, to balance out the defensive, control heavy nature of both Dark Blast and Dark Miasma. Corruptor has enough -tohit, -damage, healing, and lockdown to make a team immortal. Boosting those further as Defender is overkill. There are also a couple of cross-AT power quirks that benefit Corruptors: * Corruptor's Dark Servant is identical to Defender's. * Corruptor's Life Drain self-heals 5% more than Defender's. I'd guess the main draw of going Defender is the -30% resistance on Tar Patch, compared to the Corruptor's -22.5%.
  22. Speaking of Night Ward, the TUNNEL fast travel dialog has an outdated level range for Night Ward: Night Ward was lowered to 25-30 at some point before 2019. It should say "Night Ward: 25-30".
  23. The Night Ward repeatable mission contacts, Atherton Cromwell and Sir Lionel, have an error in their text for players level 24 or under. Atherton Cromwell: Sir Lionel: Both should say 25 instead of 30. Their level range is 25-40.
  24. When typing /respec with no respecs available, this outdated message appears: I noticed this is confusing some new and returning players. It's misleading on Homecoming, /respec works with any respec, regardless of how you got it. A message that simply says "You do not have any respecs remaining." would be more helpful. Optionally, a hint on how to get more respecs.
