  1. Stalker is a stealth based or "rogue" type class, and tends to have a bit more single target damage. Scrapper is more of a swashbuckler, sometimes has a bit more AoE than the Stalker (not always), has more HP than the Stalker, and sometimes can draw a little aggro, while the Stalker tends to shed aggro. They both do excellent damage on teams and solo.
  2. I figure Dwarf doesn't get a Taunt aura (and shouldn't have one, because we want to be able to temporarily switch to Dwarf for a Heal or a Mire without drawing aggro), so increasing the draw of its taunt could make up some of the difference.
  3. So simple. Just increase the Target Cap on the Dwarf form Taunt powers to 10. Done. I figure Dwarf doesn't get a Taunt aura (and shouldn't have one, because we want to be able to temporarily switch to Dwarf for a Heal or a Mire without drawing aggro), so increasing the draw of its taunt could make up some of the difference and solidify the ATs presence as a tanking option alongside tankers and brutes.
  4. By any chance is your scrapper strong, and pretty?
  5. they're meant to lure dumb players to accidentally aggro that next spawn. and it works on pets sometimes
  6. That is so weird. Ok, well thank you @Sir Myshkin for the detailed explanation, and sorry @ZorkNemesis if I came across as argumentative, I was just really confused. I went and checked my energy blaster and it turns out there I have it slotted in explosive blast, not nova, and now I don't even remember if I ever had it in nova. Now I have OF in photon seekers and SA in dawn strike, so there's my workaround. Thank you both for the help.
  7. indeed, AT specific defense caps would have been a good idea, but that ship sailed a loooooooong time ago.
  8. You’re making a claim that does not reflect our understanding of the game. You’ve presented no evidence to support your claims. This is why your claims are being dismissed.
  9. I put the OF Proc in Solar Flare AND in Photon Seekers, both of which also have high kB chances and it correctly turns them into KD. Only Dawn Strike displays the behavior in question. Also on my Energy Blaster the OF Proc works correctly in all attacks. I understand what you’re saying, but it does not explain the behavior.
  10. I'm not interested in the set, just the anti-knockback.
  11. No, Dawn Strike with the OF proc consistently knocks back EVERY time on EVERY mob.
  12. To be absolutely clear: Resistance and Defense are NOT a function of base values of the AT. If you have 75% Res you have 75% Res, it's not 75% OF some other value. Same with Defense. Scrapper crits have not changed in a LOOOOOONG time. Like since issue 2 or something. Scrapper's DO have, and always have had, lower HP than Brutes or Tankers, which is part of why they are not as good at farming.
  13. You’re dreaming.
  14. No. You’re imagining things. Scrapper defense and resistance caps and critical chances haven’t changed since long before AE existed.
  15. I mean really the point is to have a melee archetype that is neither a rogue nor a tank. I don’t think that’s too much to ask of a game this flexible.
  16. What in the heck are you talking about? I'm pretty sure none of this is true, if I even understand what it actually means. Evidence?
  17. I think the problem is entirely independent of AT, playstyle, or team role, and is just people needing to learn to play, that is, learning that the game plays better when the team sticks together in most cases.
  18. The Overwhelming Force Damage/Chance for Knockback/Knockback to Knockdown enhancement is not correctly turning the Knockback of my lvl 33 Peacebringer's Dawn Strike into Knockdown. I'm using an Attuned piece purchased from the AH. The Sudden Acceleration KB to KD DOES work in Dawn Strike, and BOTH the SA and the OF pieces work in my OTHER KB attacks. Only Dawn Strike with OF doesn't work.
  19. Most of what they add is going to have to use existing resources and art assets. That’s just the reality. It’s a tiny volunteer Dev team.
  20. I kind of think the Brute on HC is now properly balanced. Slightly lower damage cap, generally Fury caps out around 80 except in extreme situations. Feels more like a tank variant class than before.
  21. I’ve seen this assertion, but not in game or in any official materials. Are you sure that’s not just your interpretation?
  22. The Resistance Warden The Wardens, while opposed to Cole, hold life to be valuable. They make every attempt to reach their goals with as little loss of life as possible. This is not to say that they will not kill, but for the Wardens it is more of a last resort. Crusader The Crusaders are more extreme than the Wardens. They believe in winning the fight at any cost, regardless of how many lives it costs. Many of The Crusaders are motivated by revenge, others simply see killing as a means to an end. Most of them believe that they are fighting for a good cause and do not view themselves as evil, but some of them care little about the true cause of the Resistance, and use it merely as an excuse to wreak havoc. The Loyalists Responsibility Those Loyalists who follow the path of Responsibility support Cole, but do everything they can to protect the citizens of Praetoria in the process. They believe in maintaining law and order within the city, but they do not abuse their power. They tend to be selfless for the most part and represent the idea that not everyone with The Loyalists is bad. Power Those Loyalists who follow the path of Power support Cole and all that he stands for, however they use their positions to gain more power, prestige, fame, and fortune for themselves. Much like The Crusaders, they hold life to be of little value, especially the lives of members of The Resistance. If there is something to be gained from it, they will not hesitate to kill, and will not lose any sleep over "collateral damage". ---------------------------------- This is from paragonwiki. I guess there's room for interpretation, but to me this perfectly aligns with Heroes, Vigilantes, Rogues, and Villains.
  23. There is no set or at in the game, not force field, not sonic, not sentinels, that would be shut out of such content.
  24. Whatever you have to tell yourself to sleep at night. 🤣
  25. This isn't really true, although I understand why a lot of people see it this way. However it is abundantly clear that in fact the Resistance are Heroes (Wardens) and Vigilantes (Crusaders), while the Loyalists are Villains and Rogues. After level 20 some of the characters switch sides, but the Praetorian story lines are definitely not about good and evil on both sides.
