    I think that applies to MOST of the ATs.

     

    Tankers should probably have similar target caps to Sentinels, not Blasters. Just SLIGHTLY better than Brutes, instead VASTLY better.

    The "nerf" to Fury barely made any difference at all in the vast majority of cases.

     

    The logic is that if you have to nerf something you should nerf it a lot, so that you don't have to nerf it again, but maybe can buff it back up a little, later.

    However, that same logic SHOULD have dictated that if you're going to buff something (Tankers), you should only buff it a little, and you can buff it more later. That part of the logic got forgotten, unfortunately.

  3. Tanks are going to get their aoe damage nerfed, almost certainly. Brutes ARE tougher than Scrappers, no matter how much you poo poo the difference.

    That will put Brutes where they belong, tougher than Scrappers, not as tough as Tanks, more damaging than Tanks, not as damaging as Scrappers.

    The problem is not Brutes, the problem is Tankers.

  4. I’m sorry but the idea that BRUTES, the number one most popular AT in the game, with the very best combination of damage and survivability of any class, would still be balanced giving team +Dam is laughable at best. Does the concept of game balance mean nothing to you at all?

    It’s not inherently unfair. On a team, the controller offers the blaster safety and speed they cannot match solo.

     

    The fundamental design of the game is that some archetypes are better at soloing than others, and those that are not as good as soloing almost all offer more to a team than those that are.

     

    now there can be a legitimate debate on whether that is good design or not, but it’s definitely the case.

  8. Paragon Protector rescuee is failing to go up the elevator with me toward the mission objective. Never had this problem before today.

     

    The NPC is stuck at the elevator, flipping back and forth as if still trying to follow me, even though I am now behind her.

     

    This is on a lvl 32 Dark Melee/Ice Armor Scrapper. No Stealth powers or IOs.

     

    EDIT: I ran towards the exit and when I got to a certain distance she said "Yes, I will comply" and then went into the elevator, and then back down, and then back up, and then back down, until finally I went up again and this time she successfully followed me.

    Look at modifier and it's written there:

    Melee_SpeedJumping

    While on other Mastermind powers, like https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=mastermind_pets.droid_2.resistance it's written:

    Melee_Res_Dmg

    Thus maybe the power tries to enhance its stength using Jumping Speed Modifier instead of Damage Resistance modifier, which is why it's not getting enhanced.

    I think DOs and SOs should be removed from the game entirely and replaced with a new version of TOs with a value somewhere BETWEEN what DOs and SOs currently give. THAT new version of TOs could be priced down low to make it accessible.

You open it, look at the enhancements you want, and if you aren't stumped by the interface, you take one look at the prices and click the close button.

    The game teaches you it exists, it doesn't teach you about converting reward merits into anything, especially converters, for a quick buck. The players won't know or understand the 1inf listing trick to get starter money to list things higher. They won't know you can farm exploration badge accolades in Atlas to immediately make ~1mil give or take 100k. They won't know or figure out any of this unless they come to the forums and ask, or a kind soul sits them down to explain it.

    The whole point is to show how bad it is for new players to try and level up off drops and active mission income alone.


    If they pay attention to popups the game will teach them about merits and more.

  12. Ok, here's where I could go that might satisfy the concerns in the OP:

     

    What if SOs were significantly cheaper AT LEVEL 2, and gradually scaled up to their current price at level 25?

    This way low level characters could more easily outfit themselves, but you would still be encouraged to buy IOs eventually.

     

    How about that?

    They give Patrol XP now, in LARGER amounts than the xp was. They haven’t taken it away, just modified it.
