End game, Dark struggles with Energy damage. You have to think of it more like a controller meets melee. Dark/dark is more so. Outside of Dark, Claws would be an easy sub in as it is end friendly and has fast enough recharge to where you don't need to add much. You also get two powers with 100% KD/KB. Outside of Claws, anything which stuns so it can stack with the aura. The heal is essentially best in game, but before IOs the end cost was incredibly unkind. Now, you stick a Chance for +End in it and you are practically good to go.

CoD seems a bit confusing in it as there are two checks for a hold. One is 2% and the other is 3%. So even if combined, that's why you are seeing such a low chance for the default hold to kick in.
-
Actually down to 40. I honestly can't recall the first of three I got rid of so there's that. Axed DB/sr since I have three /sr characters already. One being Claws and I just find leveling and the experience smoother overall with Claws. I axed a Claws/nin simply because I already have at least 5 other Claws builds not counting my Fort.

I know Dark has a damage aura, but Rad will pump out more damage. This can be important for when BS is more resisted, see DE. BS/BA are slower attacking sets. The fact that Rad offers +Recharge will help speed up your attacks by a default. You can also one slot Beta Decay with a -Res proc. I'm not saying Dark is bad. I just don't really see synergy between the sets which isn't also covered by using Rad, and Rad does offer benefits to BS. If you ever do want to do BA, I say go BA/ea Scrapper. Crits help with BA being resisted, but it does a truckload of damage anyway. BA begs for +Recharge and the end to pull it off. EA covers those. EA also doesn't need something like Parry so you might as well add in a better DPA attack.

It could be, but after I took a recent break and came back, I wasn't exactly excited to see I would likely be better off doing a respect for build that would still farm slower and not gain as much XP.

Time Crawl: Standard ST debuff I save for harder targets. An Acc and some procs if you got room for any. Temporal Mending: A nice PBAoE Heal. I went Preventive Medicine for the recharge Time's Juncture: A nice size PBAoE toggle. I use it for the debuff and slow. 4-slot Dark Watchers. Temporal Selection: Stick a Heal proc in it. Distortion Field: The chance to hold is low, as it is mainly used as a slow. I skipped it on my Fire/time due to already having two Slows. I can see muling it for the +Recharge. Time Stop: Another way to get a hold. Offers some -regen. I use it and Time Crawl and on EBs/AVs and try to convince myself Time has decent -regen. Farsight: 'Nuff said. Slot it for Defense. Slowed Response: The token -Def -Res power. If you have room for it, it takes procs. Chrono Shift: You need 200% or so global recharge to get it perma. I've seen a number of different ways slot this. I did 5-dlot Panacea.

Everlasting's population is rather solid. The biggest negative change has been in regards to farming. The new powersets have been solid but not really top tier. The fixes have been nice adds though.

A bit of both. I weed ones out and the last couple I did I only played them until I wanted to move on to a degree. One hit 41. Another hit 35 last night, and I'm still playing them. My newest one is 9, but that's partly on hold due to getting a build about 95% done in Mids. Once I'm happy with the build they will get a bigger push. It's mostly being intentional about which ones I make.

I'm currently hovering around 40 on my main account. A thing I am doing is making sure everybody is at a certain level. Lets say 10. I get everybody to 10, or delete the character. I then go to level 20, 30, etc. I'm close to hitting the level 20 mark with only getting rid of one character so far.

Whats a good combo to solo with ??

I went heavy on slotting both for my Claws/sr. That's just how things worked out, but I also built mine differently than anything in this thread partly because I went Sorcery pool to get Rune of Protection. Rotate that with Hybrid Melee and you get a rather sturdy Scrapper. RoP puts S/L resists at 68.8%. I'm about 95% of the way to converting it over to Dark/sr, but the quirks of each set offers some issues.

It should be in the toggles and passives.

"I Need Healing" - A Beginner's Guide to Defenders
Without_Pause replied to Overclock's topic in Defender
I just came here since this was marked as having unread responses. Congrats on the most ignorant comment I will read in a really long time. Saying Kin is useless in a TF is outright comedic. -
(has a full attack chain of AoEs on my Time/rad) I aim for as much Def, Recharge, and the End to run it all. I like sleeps, but trying to incorporate that on a Defender isn't easy or even practical. Same for Immobilization powers. That's what Controllers and Doms are for. Buff/Debuff and nuke everything in your pathway.

I popped 5 bids for common salvage at 100 just before supper. I logged in just now and picked them all up. I added two more and got one instantly. -
I never took it on my EA Stalker, but then I've never been faceplanting constantly on any EA I have run. I can casually solo +3/x8 on a couple of my /EA builds which I have tried to do so. Sure, some maps will give it fits, but those are few and far in-between, and pretty much any armor is going to have its Achilles heel.
-
The image shows 29.9% and it is off. Dark Consumption can be a way to counter the cost of running it. I run a similar if not more so end heavy setup on some builds which have a end recovery ability, and it works out even with FA running. To clarify, PB needs some recharge from somewhere in order to have zero downtime. Recharge is 200 seconds with a 120 second duration.
-
I know you have FA, but does Siphon Life hit that often with no Acc slotting? There certainly mobs which will challenge that type of slotting.
-
On my Claws/sr I have 158.8% +Recharge and a single Recharge IO in PB. Recharge is 66.41 seconds with a duration of 120 seconds. That's more than enough.
-
You aren't the only one who I have seen do this, but I don't get the -KB protection when using /sr. The 3-slot bonus isn't doing anything for you either. PB doesn't need a second Recharge either.
-
In short, a Def based build can skip on splitting them since they are likely getting enough Def anyway. Res based builds on the other hand need all of the help they can get. Any Res based build will still go after Res, and then whatever else Def is just seen as an added nice to have bonus since they have no DDR. I stick the Striker's Guile proc in AS and the other in the T1/T2.

Maybe for weekend pricing but fine is 100. -

And then the price becomes 11,111 and now people think they need to pay even higher for a buy it now pricing which in turn just keeps raising the price. At some point you have to ask yourself why are you paying that much for common salvage? See uncommon salvage the past few months. If at some point all my characters were maybe level 30 or above, I would be swimming in uncommons and selling stacks of them, and yet, that market has nearly jumped 11x what it was a few months ago. Part of the problem is that all common and uncommon salvage are bucketed into one price point. This means uncommons which only work for low level recipes are now showing up as the same price as ones which are needed for higher end recipes or in reality certain salvage drops way more often and hence has a higher supply will show its listing as something with lower supply. Case in point, Gold drops a ton for me, and I hardly ever actually need it, so I sell stacks of it. Meanwhile, the uncommons used to help flip Level 41 Def recipes are listed as the same price, and those can be much harder to come by, and I would use them way more. -

The last 5 are notoriously incorrect at times. I've never paid for a common that was more than 100.
