I already posted my thoughts in the Video Games section of the forum. Note, I had forgotten I was subscribed to their email newsletter. That's how long there has been in terms of an email update. The email incredibly implied the game was done even though it is not. I'm still baffled by the fact they don't have genuine detailed monthly updates. I have backed a number of crowd funding items and monthly updates are the norm. I'm a software developer. I have to give updates at least once a week on any project I am on. I've done daily updates. Fun fact. You could have backed CoT at $50 a decade ago. You can now get BG3 for $59.99.

I went and watched it today. It isn't garbage. My wife said it was good, and far better than the second Ant-Man film. I genuinely enjoyed it. It was fun. It was a bit ridiculous. I think they did a good job of interweaving the three heroes in the film. I have very debatable qualms with the film. I'm sure I could easily skip putting it into MCU's bottom 5 which honestly gets it into the solid territory. Even if I agree that it might only be a 3/5, that's still not garbage. FYI, Rotten Tomatoes Audience score is 83%.

Outside of having cones, Dark offers an attack/heal where Time don't really need it. If I was going to do a Time Defender to solo with it, I would go Time/ice. You can stack holds fairly early on to take care of bosses. It's honestly on my list of things to make once I get some others to 50.

Some of my suggestions I put here. Even after two years there's been no real movement on improving the set.
-
They are streamlining it. There is stuff being added or removed. There's a lot of villains in the comics, so it can take them all sorts of time to do the series depending on how many they want to cover. There are three giant sized graphic novels for it so my guess would be three seasons, but they absolutely have content for more.

The good news is they only have one movie coming out next year, and that feels like the right kind of film to do well. I know DC is rebooting, but I am curious to know if they aren't going to get hit by the superhero fatigue as well. DC hasn't been pulling Marvel numbers anyway. Blue Beetle nor the new Shazam film even pulled $100 million in domestic tickets, and I thought the first Shazam was great. The Batman didn't do $400 million domestically. Personally speaking, I think Marvel/DC should build characters and storylines via TV shows and then make a movie when they have something worthy of it.

I got an email about a new update. Note, I had forgotten I got emails about the game, so that tells you how often worthwhile updates are given. Still, the wording. The hope. Holy crap. They finally released the game! Er, wait. There's no fighting being done in that video. This is just saying they officially made the 8 playable areas and have them on their server for all to see. So after all of this time, they have 8 areas you can travel around. Yay?

While I accept a number of issues with the game, it is the one MMO I played more than any other outside of CoH. KotOR would almost be there is I hadn't kept bumping up against paid content and me just not wanting to fully sub.

A cone is easy enough to work around. Even if you skip the cone, you still have two strong ST attacks.

You took four powers from the Med pool including two heals. So yes, you wanted to heal. Blasters have never since day one been a purely ranged class. In fact, their most damaging attacks come from melee. Needless to say, I'm not sure you actually understand the intent of a Blaster from the Dev's standpoint.
-
In game descriptions are often misleading if not terrible. There are numerous Blaster secondaries which absolutely benefit from playing in melee. You really don't need the med pool when you can instead drop it for the Fighting pool. Add Combat Jumping and Maneuvers and you can work in decent enough Def. More so for Ranged as that's the ideal for a blaster. If you are worried about melee being crowded then I can tell you it isn't that difficult to get on a team with minimal to no melee in it. I've never really has much of an issue being in melee with a non-melee character. I tend to dive in first. 🤣 In terms of the build. You have Fly and Teleport. Pick one. Resuscitate is 2-slotted. I can't fathom it needing anything more than 1. Electrifying Fences is an AoE, so 1-slotting it is not going to be remotely effective. 1-slotting Charged Armor is also odd. Scare is a single target Fear power. Skip it. Honestly, this screams a Blaster build which is trying stay away and do some sort of support role when things like Emp/psy Defenders or Mind/emp Controllers exist. I mean, you 6-slotted Scare and skipped the nuke on a Blaster for crying out loud.

I only saw it in the Scrapper forum. They are asking what AT though.

I still have doubts it did much of anything when it hit streaming. Outside of the pandemic, production delays can easily happen with these lesser known titles as well and maybe even more so.

The Madame Web in the comic is an elderly woman. They reimagined her as a young woman.

It helps to build them if the films are successful. Morbis did $73 million domestically and was more known for being a meme than a good film. The New Mutants film feels completely forgotten as it did just under $24 million domestically. So yes, those things came out, but are they really building anything?

The trailer didn't suck as bad as it could have. Honestly, the Spider-Man aspect felt tacked on. It felt like, "We need Spider-Man, but we can't afford him."

On Netflix. It's fantastic. The storytelling in E5 is one of the best episodes one can see in a year. While the awesomeness of fights can be deemed lesser as they are animation, E6 was still pretty great for me. Invincible is top tier, but I have read the graphic novel for it, so it isn't as fresh as it could be. This feels like the best animation since Arcane. Con: Not family friendly nor recommended for people who like to watch things on the more conservative side of things. While much of the sex/nudity fits, the more problematic stuff will come from the brothel scenes. I was fine with it, but I'm just saying if your 10-year-old kid wants to watch it, yeah, that's going to lead to a conversation.

Looking at numbers The Marvels will clearly bring in less than the latest Ant-Man movie while having better reviews, so it isn't simply that people will go since it is suppose to be good. I haven't seen The Marvels due to being busy. I actually thought Ant-Man was better than how much it got panned, but I did have issues with it. I can't recall what all, but it felt like they could have removed or deemphasized certain characters and used other character way more. Part of the issue here is at some point Marvel can't simply kick out shows and movies without the big name characters and come even remotely close to the same numbers in terms of viewers. Just imagine the Avengers without Iron Man, Cap, Thor, Loki, etc. Even if the movie content itself is really good, it is going to be really difficult to have people simply show up in mass. 'But they did for GotG.' And I don't suggest that as anyway to base on what is going to happen in the future either. I thought Ms. Marvel was fantastic. I'm just not sure how much that character is going to bring people to go to a movie theater. Same can be said for Monica Rambeau. At least people had a talking tree and a talking racoon in GotG. It also helped that movie knew what it was trying to be and absolutely killed at doing it. Again, I do not suggest basing GotG's success on future success of other entities. There's only so many characters and ideas worthy of being a blockbuster. Sony(?) is certainly finding that out as they expand their Spider-Man universe. They are making a Madame Web movie for crying out loud.

Rad has enough AoEs outside of the nuke for Time to enable to chain them together. Time isn't all that busy either.

Rebirth or Life Drain for Dark Blast/Super Reflexes.
Without_Pause replied to jjolin01's topic in Sentinel
Rebirth would be more of an 'Oh crap' button and since Dark plays more at range, the need for one would be rather low. -
I just went and clicked on the data links for three builds and they all loaded fine. I have the most recent versions of Mid's.
-
If soloing is a factor, you'll want a different damage type from your secondary.

Power Transfer +Heal / Perf Shifter +END x4? (Rad Armor)
Without_Pause replied to Story Archer's topic in Brute
Sappers honestly aren't bad as there is 1-2 at most in a mob and likely just one. If you can deal with it, you can eliminate then attacking you at all. Far worse are Freakshow, Carnies, or others which drain over time and are bosses. I don't use FA on the build, but my BA/stone runs 10 toggles with 4 PS: +End, and unless I am facing something which does legit end drain, I pretty much don't even need to look at my end bar. Data below. Recovery: 3.2/s End Drain: 2.3/s EndRdx: 14.2% Recharge: 172.5% I have the FF: +Recharge proc as well so I can cycle three AoEs. My first go around with Rad during the low level was to slot Theft of Essence: +End in Radiation Therapy and that was outright swimming in end. -
Getting Chrono Shift to be perma isn't that difficult either. I have a Time/rad who can get it without Incarnates depending on how I'm slotting my build which still isn't set. My Fire/time Controller uses Incarnates to make it perma.
