Great article and it turns out some of my simplified info was incorrect (I didn't know you couldn't stack two stealth toggles. Never tried I guess)

It sucks doesn't it? At least with the amount of recharge I'm building in, AD will be recharge well befoe it's out, so it gives me some time to notice and click it. Since my main is a tri-form warshade I do have more experience watching recharge powers in thee tray since au powers eill not trigger till you switch back to human.

You can absolutely do that...have an example you want to see happen? Yeah, I'd like to activate Active Defense (shields click mezz protection/ whenever I move forward (W) and ideally without spam in the chat window telling me it's not recharged for example.

For some reason once in a while CoH seems to lose its mind when I launch it and resolution gets reset to something ridiculously low and some options, like inverted mouse or show pet window, get lost I'd love to be able save everything to a config file and hopefully reload it from a macro. I do play on several different computers such as my desktop and laptop, which have different resolutions, so I would love for settings to be computer specific (saved on my loacl drive)

Stealth is counters "perception", manyy powers that grant stealth (-perception) also grant some other benefits like defense or resist (storm's must, warshade shadow cloak, deal cloak, whatever it's called...) But as far as I know they all grant the same amount of -perception. Superspeed grant -perception but no defense/resist. Two stacks of -perception will make you invisible to most does in the game (some of them like ritki drones do ha e extra perception and require 3 stacks for you to be invisible). You get those stacks with a y if the means above, including IO. So superspeed+stealth from the power pool makes you invisible. So does most+superspeed or most+stealth. Or most+stealth IO of superspeed +stealth IO. There are ma y ways to get invisibility and anyone can work a way in their build if they desire. Then you're going to want a TP friend/team power so you can bring your team to the spot your reached by steal thing :) temp powers are available for that too.

So many different types of merits (hero, astral, empyrean, etcc...). I'm not even sure in know what they all can used for and what the best use for each type is. I find doing a couple rounds if AE solo relaxing, so I can get my salvage and random rolls using AE tickets rather than merits, so I think those are not a good use of merits? You can buy specific recipes with merits, so it's a way to not rely on influence to get that LoTG or whatever? Purples are still rare enough that I think using merits is still a good way to get them? Same for ATOs? What about astral merits? Use them for rares too or are they useful for incarnates? I find that I get my needed salvage from running TFs or incarnate trials, but I have only one T4, maybe getting the very rare with merits is best?

I love SS. I have SS on all 5 other characters and was thinking about giving superjump a chance, I know I used to love it before there where IOs to pair with SS. I could take TP friend for utility at 50, not that I have anything against One with the Shield Thanks and for the tip on AaO, I haven't got used to thinking of it as a damage/aggro aura. Also I agree somewhere along the way is shirted melee defense. Not good. And yes the intent is to catalyze the ATOs altgouh ibhacent looked at the economics of doing so. On my warshade, my 50 and only other character of consequence, I used merits at 50 to buy ATOs and had enough catalysts drops to do both sets. Here if rather use then as I level up and only catalyze at the end. And also use Hecatomb, the only set I would replace once I get to 50. I like doing TFs so usually I'm not super tight on merits,, although one is always right on merits.

There might be a way to bind activation to your forward movement key? As long as you move around often it would fire it very soon after it becomes available? Having just started a shield scrapper I understand the issue. Of course my Main is a warshade so I need to get out of form to let Hasten activate, even on auto.

Let's say I take combat jumping at lvl 4. Let's assume I slotted the dafualt slit with a jump regular IO and at lvl 25 I add a slit which I leave empty Let's say at 30 if have enough influence to buy a lvl40 LoTG+ rchg and slit it in Combat Jumping in that slit I added at lvl 25 What determined the level I benefit from the proc? The level of the proc itself, so since it's a lvl40 proc, I need to examplar to 37+? The level of the slot, so since I added at lvl25, I need to examplar to lvl22+? The minimal lvl the IO is available, I think it's 21 for LoTG, so I need to examplar to lvl18+? The level of the power it's slotted in, so I since I took CJ at lvl the proc is always active? I'm designing a build that will examplar well so I'm trying to understand the mechanics of procs ( and bonus sets using attuned while examplared but that for another thread)

This is my current plan so far, still learning form the other threads on this build and I'm only lvl20 at the moment. Very similar to MunkinLord, who I used for inspiration (as well as a Darl/Shield build), although I favored some regen over Resistance (no idea if that's the right move to be honest). I wanted powers and bonus sets in ways that I think are more levelling and examplar friendly (for example I hate the idea to wait till lvl47 to get a real travel power although I know some people never take one). The idea is to build as I go with attuned enhancements. At 50, attune the two ATO sets, and replace Crushing impact in Chain Induction with Hecatomb. Some checking/tuning: - I haven't checked against minimum set levels yet. I need to go refresh my memory of the rules of examplaring, especially with attuned enhancements. - I can't figure out how to tell Pine's to show me bonuses at a certain level. it's a balance between getting some of the recharge and some of the defense bonuses. At examplar level 27 I already have 3x 7.5% recharge from the LoTGs alone, so I may rebalance to have more defense bonuses form the sets themselves? Not Sure about One with the Shield, I could take it at 50 instead of Stealth. I don't know if I really need another LoTG in Stealth (it only makes like 1/2s in the recharge time of Shield charge), but Stealth+Superjump makes me completely invisible to most foes which is always useful. Avalanche (let alone Superior Avalanche) are out of control on the market! 25 mil a piece??? I'm thinking about putting in Overwhelming force instead since they are rather plentiful with the summer blockbuster and have some good regen+HP bonuses I can respec into Superior Avalanche when I hit 50 -

more questions, trying to learn: Why 5x LoTG in Weave? Is the extra Mez resist important even though we have Active Defense? Is in in case it's down? I see that the set bonuses you chose provide a lot of that (Pine's tells me 72%?), that extra slot could also go in Health for the Regenerative Tissue Proc or go into Tough to slot the Gladiator Armor +def earlier in the build (examplaring is important to me) Also in Pine's Against All Odds shows a duration of 17s yet it's a toggle??? I have planned for a Blessing of the Zephyr +KB protection in Superjump instead of Stealth (I like to have full stealth, which requires 2 powers, but not sure about 1/2 stealth). Maybe it's because I don't have Active Defense perma yet but once I do KB protection will be overkill? -
I'm planning a recharge intensive set, so making my mezz protection perma is no issue (in fact my problem is that it will recharge too fast and I will waste time with its animation). Why does AaO gets detoggled but not my regular shields?

A couple more questions: Kismet + acc worth it because AoEs have an accuracy handicap? You have some decent set bonuses for +acc already In Pine's is shows up as a ToHit bonus rather than affecting accuracy itself. I'd be tempted to use that slot in health for that Regen Tissue Proc The one thing that sucks about shield is the status resist being a clicky (with a long animation on top of that!). So far (again only lvl20) I have not put it on Auto but I click it when I remember of when it's needed, especially since it's not perma when unslotted (200s recharge vs 120s duration). The way you slotted yours with a Hami you have recahrge in it in addition to the recharge bonus, so ifyou put it on auo you now have the 2-3s animation every minute. I don;t think it stacks on itself, so there is really no point in having recharge in it, right? (your LoTG and Set bonuses are enough to make sure it'll be perma even when slowed some). So why not slot a Def/End IO instead? EDIT: Pine's won;t let me do that. I can't put IOs in this power, that must be why you are using the Hami. My bad -

I like to build my final build as a I go rather than frankenslot then re-buy everything later, especially now that we have attuned enhancements the ATOs can be slotted with the non-superior version while levelling up and catalyzed later, I thin the avalanche also? (I've never used Avalanche before) What is your sugegstion for Chain Induction instead of the purple set? I'm thinking 5 slots Crushing impact, you lose some of the +rchg but not all of it and some resists which is probably OK Otherwise your build is similar in many ways to what I had worked up for myself. I do have some powers our of order from yours (e.g. Combat Jump early and Buildup later). I need to compare the numbers for Stamina+Health, I have A Regenerative Tissue +regen in Health and Stamina only double slotted End Mod + Proc, so I lose on the +rec and +HP compared your your slotting. I'm only lvl20 and don't feel like Endurance is that huge of a problem so far. -
So I understand properly that Superior ATOs cannot be equipped until you are 50 (not even 47?) So should I buy regular ATOs as O level up and catalyze them when I hit 50?

Baby Elec/ shield scrapper here (just hit 20 this morning) Against All Odds says it's a toggle but keeps getting deactivated although I have not quite figured out why. My other shield toggles seem fine. Am I missing something about the game mechanics? It turns off if you are not in combat? Or is it detoggling because of status hits? Not a fan of status resist being a click rather than toggle, and unenhanced it doesn't seem perma. Otherwise I'm enjoying it quite a bit, love being an AoE scrapper. Probably my next 50, although I have a corruptor in the running

Any thoughts on ice storm? At lvl22 I think it's really a useful power.
