Well... ZERO text references in the entire DATA directory to this file, in over 300,000 files, there's no mention of it. I'm going to expand my search now to my entire development directory to see if it's coming from somewhere else...
-
That's "maletaunt6b". I didn't see it anywhere in my Rosetta Stone, weird.. I'm going to have to GREP and see if I can find a reference to it in ANY data file. It sounds almost identical to me to maletaunt6.... no clue why they had two...

I'm not sure what you're looking for exactly, but from what I can tell, here's all of the generic male "HUH"s and "AHHH"s.... MaleTaunt4.ogg MaleTaunt5.ogg MaleTaunt6.ogg MaleTaunt6b.ogg MaleTaunt7.ogg MaleTaunt8.ogg MaleTaunt9.ogg MaleTaunt11.ogg MaleTaunt12.ogg MaleTaunt13.ogg MaleTaunt14.ogg taunt1.ogg taunt2.ogg Taunt3.ogg

What's the filename you were looking for?

There's no such mod YET. But, you could be a Mod author fairly easily yourself and get this done. Just load up my "Rosetta Stone": Look for the sound that you want to replace, like this: Replace that sound file in game with your own replacement sound file. If it works, GREAT! You can use the CoH Modder tool to pretty easily make your own mod for others to use to replace that sound, if you wish!

This might be treading the line of the taboo "political", though it's more related to science, but I felt the need to share this with everyone that I can. This article CHANGED MY LIFE a few years ago. The provided perspective completely changed the way that I see the world, and has made me a more open-minded, tolerant, and understanding person. Also, it's pretty damn funny too. I present to you, the Monkeysphere: http://www.monkeysphere.us/ Feel free to discuss the implications of Dunbar's Number, with the note that we can't get too specific here due to forum rules. But really, this fact of primate brains really explains SO MUCH, especially the core issue of tribalism that causes so many issues in our society today. We seem to have conflicts, extreme arguments, and such I think primarily because our monkey brains are simply overloaded with the stresses of living in a society, a culture, a WORLD filled with WAY more than 150 people. I feel that almost all of our conflicts can be traced back to this very problem. But how do we solve it? I don't have an answer. I just know that by REALIZING these limitations, we can try to understand how people can become so strongly motivated about things while somehow at the same time become apathetic to other things. I used the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine, and downloaded a local copy of the two pages, then stripped out the ads, scripts, sidebars, etc. and smooshed the two into one page, restoring the original format of the article (which has since become broken due to the Cracked.com website changing and nobody bothering to go back and fix the old broken pages). I did this as a public service.

I would think that if that's the case, then you might want to move onto other aspects of the game, such as maybe.... modding... for instance? 🙂

Man, the jabs come out quickly it seems!
-
You're right, it was had for me to see a perspective where someone skips much of the game. That has been corrected.

@Mister Mass that was a joke right? Because I'm like Mister Fantastic over here, anyone that cares to can know who I am, I plant my name all over stuff. Probably a bit of narcissim. I blame it on my fear of "the Abyss". Once Ayn Rand was asked in an interview if she's scared of dying because she doesn't believe that there is a God or afterlife, and her response was "of course not, it didn't bother me before I didn't exist, why would it bother me after I don't exist?" I always found that quote brilliant, but on a fundamental level I can't agree. I *LIKE* existing, I'm TERRIFIED of death, and as a result I'm determined to leave as much of "myself" in this world as possible. Hell, if I could be a brain in a jar like the Clockwork King or like in Futurama, sign me the hell UP!

COH Directory - The Community Yellow Pages [Public Beta]
_NOPE_ replied to CamdenJaxx's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
This is a FANTASTIC idea @CamdenJaxx! I went ahead and added my site to the directory: https://coh.directory/listing/18 -
Nice @Bopper! While I *said* "close, personal friend", that was really a sort of in-joke, since that was what is fan club is/was named. I only got to meet him the once for about a minute, during his "Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour", and I paid some good money for that, let me tell you. But I came prepared. I had this little darling worked up by Carmine Goglia (the one that actually MAKES the Walk of Fame stars the the stars get to take home after their official ceremonies) to give Al a taste of what his upcoming (at the time) star was going to look like (I shoved in some old pictures of when I was in college and got to meet his band at a bar during his "Running with Scissors" tour for completeness): It was one of the greatest 60ish seconds of my life.

@Greycat thanks for the perspective! Enjoy your pretendy fun time games! 🙂

Makes me think of this:
-
I, for one, have never PLed a character in my entire history with the game. What's the point? I also never got the whole "pay to win" mentality. It's a GAME, the purpose is to HAVE FUN. If you don't HAVE FUN while playing the GAME.... what the hell are you "playing" it for??? You're only cheating yourself.
-
Also @Solarverse if you're talking about the "Fresh Start" button? It only downloads them, it doesn't install them.
-
@Solarverse it's unique by ModName. As long as they have different mod names, should be fine.

Pretty good sized update today to the program. Head to the website if you want to download this latest version. I've made the following changes: PROGRESS BARS! Now you'll have some idea about how long it'll take to download a mod, instead of the program just locking up the whole time. New method for fetching the server mod data makes the program SUBSTANTIALLY faster! Starting to implement Categories, although for now they are informational only. I plan to add the GUI functionality to reduce the visible mod list down by category in the next version. New "Fresh Start" button. If your mods and data folder have gotten all kinds of nasty, consider this a large "reset" button. It deletes all of your local mods, deletes everything in your local Data\ folder, and then automatically downloads ALL server mods. I have a confirmation prompt on this button for a reason - it'll take a long time to download all those mods, so you want to be SURE you want to do it! Thanks to @Solarverse @WanderingAries and @ElectricKeet for the feedback! I'm hoping that with this update to the program, as well as the latest version of my "Rosetta Stone", we'll see a lot more mods coming out soon!

VidiotMaps for Issue 24 and Beyond
_NOPE_ replied to Blondeshell's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
I've repackaged the two map collections together and replaced/renamed the Vidiotmaps I23 as "VidiotMaps I26", and provided proper credit. If @Blondeshell ever comes back and has an issue with it, she can let me know, and I can split the packs again and go back to the way that it used to be. But, for now, if you're using CoH Modder, it's super easy to install now with just a single button click (although I will admit the there's so much data and so many files, that it does take a minute or two to download and install!): -
VidiotMaps for Issue 24 and Beyond
_NOPE_ replied to Blondeshell's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
Okay, Blondeshell hasn't been online since July, and hasn't responded to my PMs, so I might just take it upon myself to get these all bundled up together into CoH Modder so that people don't have to jump through these hoops. I really wanted to get permission first (I got permission from the old VidiotMaps team), but if she's absent, I might consider it Abandonware and just do it... -
Quality of Life, Texture Mods, and Other Things
_NOPE_ replied to 12thPower's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
FYI, I believe that I have all of these imported into CoH Modder, in case anyone wants an easy installation of them. -
Slight bug in Michiyu's custom enhancement pack has been fixed.

Thanks @Solarverse that makes the tool much more valuable. I might add a "category" drop down in the next version, but it would be up to mod authors to decide whether or not to add a category to their mod, otherwise by default I'd set the value to "other".
