ok, apparently i can create characters... i just cannot use the create character button. that's broken. if i click on the empty slot, i can open the character creator. 😅 so, i only broke the character creation button... it does not want to work at all. -

well, apparently if one has 1000 characters on a shard and you try to make another you get a nice pop up that tells, with no spaces in-between words, that you have hit your character limit... but! if you are a serial altoholic *cough* and transfer an alt to another shard, because the Hyperpotamus (NO! it's taken and it is an IP!!!! 😭) desperately needs to brought to life, and whilst in the middle of the character transfer, you try to open the character creator before the transfer is acknowleged as completed, you will be told you have no more room on the shard and politely asked if you would like to visit the store, presumably to purchase more character slots... alas i was not taken to a store and i cannot purchase more to exceed 1000 alts for my preferred shard. i just thought you would like to know... 😄

if you ignore enough people it will start removing people from your list automaticallly... that is how i refresh my list frequently. i make notes on everyone that i ignore and why, so people that get noticed again for ignorable behavior getting ignored more easily the next time. 🙂 -

no, no... no need for that. it's good that these types of issues get bumped up, because things like this educate the players on bugs and obstacles in play. though i doubt this can be fixed, there are some thing too entrenched to easily fix. 🙂 -

yeah, i reported this a 18 months ago... and srmalloy is correct, it doubles the error with every save... to make matters worse, it seems to also insert invisible characters, so even if you manually deleted the extra characters in the UI, they may still be hidden ones that occupy text space. that typically comes from have a double space inserted between words or sentences. the best way to treat that is to cut out the text, edit and clean it up in a separate text editor. 🙂 🙂 -
in dr grave's second arc, first mission, you are required to find Zephyr in a cave system. it seems to be set at a random point in the map, because it is a large cave system and he can be in any one of the smaller corners. this is not really a huge problem, except that after you find him he spawns three destructible objects with guards. this means that you can run through this huge map, find Z in the last room, and then you have to run through the map again to find some more spawns, concievably in all the rooms that you have already explored, including the opening tunnel. to add injury to insult, once you clear those three objectives, you have to find again Z and defeat him. chances are that it is yet another part of the cave, since he will respawn randomly. so you will need to run through the cave system a third time to find and defeat him. i would highly recommend to make sure that Zephyr is set to a front of mission map spawning point, every time, to save on covering and recovering the same ground several times. at least that would make a little more sense an logical, then you would be able search the cave system once or twice at most. 🙂

what AT are you? did you run the patron arc from the arbiter or through ouroboros? did you get the badge? specifically the Stinger/fwoosh badge that can be found under accolades? are you at least lvl 35?

i talked to a GM and they confirmed that too, also told me if i could identify what spawned it that it would make their lives much easier... thankfully that was easy with the HC wiki crossreferenced with the city of data. 🙂

i was running through atlas park with my level 8 alt and i saw some devouring earth emanator leftovers near a respawned time capsule. the time capsule was probably opened by a level 50ish player that did not clean up their mess completely. since all time capsule spawns should con to player level, and logically the spawn spawns (i just wanted to say that...😄) should also be consistant regardless of player level. i found three emanators: a tree of life, a cairn, and a quartz. but only the quartz is spawned as a lvl 48 pet, while the others have no level. the only DE event spawn that spawns quartzes are the Devouring Earth event guardians

i reported earlier today that dual pistols was giving swap ammo combat spam... which got me thinking... is swap ammo activating all those ammo types? yes, apparently most of them. or at least it is causing lethal, fire, and cold damage with each hit, rather than simply lethal with no swap ammo. with the swap ammo loaded in... without swap ammo NOTE: the total damage is the same... but spread out among the different damage types. but there does not seem to be any secondary effects when i tested with a single attack combined with swap ammo... like no -def, fire DoT, -movement or -rec, which are the secondary effects of the pistol power.

i did not see this reported elsewhere, but custom character with dual pistols, easy boss with standard powers including swap ammo, will frequently spam all the swap ammo text after using a dual pistol attack.

a /whereami and a screen shot would be very helpful the next time, because i am not entirely sure that the first mission is in a fixed place each time. were you also able to eventually enter the mission, were any other of your teamates not able to enter? -

it is working as intended. the difference is that swift only takes regular enhancements for running and flying; i.e. SOs (single origin) or IO (invention origin) generic enhancements. it is deliberatly limited in this way. ONLY regular enhancements. as Captain Fabulous points out, sprint specifically takes regular AND set enhancements, ones that enhance running speed and/or jump. it states that it ONLY enhances running speed/jump, while taking regular running/jumping enchancements, and sets that enhance running/jumping. NOT flying sets. i think the GM was simply stating that they do not know why that it is that way, but you can, and did, submit a bug report. but, as happens often with me, it gets pointed out that this is WAI, that this is the way it is supposed to work. it's a 20+ year old game, it's riddled with strange things that sometimes make no sense. but it does say in the power description that it takes enhancements, that is to say regular ones. it does not say that it accepts set enhancements. what it says on the box is what it means. you may disagree with it, but it is not a typo nor a bug. it's a feature, not a bug. that is how it is meant to work. they designed it that way, and it is not misleading, it is pretty straight forward. regular enhancements only, no set enhancements.
