  1. i was revamping my badge hunter AE mission, and ran it with my grav/time troller. one of the mission objectives is to destroy an object for the badge. i put in a mailbox as the destructible object. the singularity, or one its victims caught in a grav trap, will suck hundreds of letters, even before the box is destroyed. upon destroing the box, even more letters are released. i have yet to try this outside of the AE mission. will test and see if it works on the streets. i wonder what the penalty is for looting mailboxes in atlas park would be? 😁 note: i tested it in talos, it seems taht it is the gravitional pull of the singularity that pulls mail out of the mailbox. no other power. so it needs a victim and to be in the right spot to make this sort of mess. once out though, the singularity will carry around the letters. πŸ˜„
  2. i did put in an application because i am euro time and speak french, though i am not sure i could now contribute that much time. but i think my application fell to floor and was used to train the puppy. 😁
  3. and possibly cheru-GMs and sera-GMs. i am now mentally picturing a cheru-GM (i won't name names) as a naked little police drone with angel wings and a bow. (don't ask me how they will hold the bow, telekinetically i suppose) 😁
  4. i knew there was a heirarchy of GMs! was it the Arch-GM themselves that intervened? praise be the arch-GM! 😁
  5. Wait! WTF! i got the official email while the servers were down, though it was sent yesterday, 16 september... But I just got back and had not posted my venting nor, more importantly, logged on, But apparently she is still the Wandering Uterus! Make up your minds, folks! I've been super annoyed all afternoon because of this, writing my sililoquy in my head. Maybe they will generic it after all, maybe not... I'm just going to leave this up anyways, because I think it is funny. 😁
  6. WARNING: actual usage of medical terminology relating to the female anatomy and other unseemly topics will be discussed here, the faint of heart probably should retreat to safer pages. I'll abide by the decision that my alt was genericked, that is the right of the devs and the discretion of the GM that did it. But let me reassure you, the name Wandering Uterus is not offensive. Ridiculous certainly! But hardly offensive. Though apparently someone found it offensive enough to report it and a GM supported that claim. (Please don't refer me to the Code of Conduct, I know) Seriously... the Wandering Uterus, a Peacebringer, was not meant to be offensive, it never even crossed my mind. It was meant to be funny. I know that is probably the claim of many that have had a named genericked. But is an actual legitimate psychological expression that has a very old origin, as well as being the root for the very appropriate modern word: HYSTERIA!!! Gasp! The name Wandering Uterus was meant to be funny, since in its Bright Nova form that was basically what I thought it looked like when I named it 3 Β½ years ago. (Hey! I am student of french psychoanalysis, what do you expect?) But it is a legitmate expression that has roots in history going way, way back. Let me quote from the Wandering Uterus' own biography... If that does not convince you let me quote the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA). Further from β€œWomen And Hysteria In The History Of Mental Health” (Cecilia Tasca, et al.) published by the National Institute of Health (NIH) That's all well and done, my point is that I am just really, really annoyed by this genericking of the Wandering Uterus and feel that it was unjust. She was just a level 26 Peacebringer, I can't really get into them, so i am just going to rename her the Venting Spleen and let her sit until I need to vent some more. But I doubt that anything will change by this, I have no real hope, what is done is done. I just really needed to vent about it, because seriously... lighten up!
  7. on the finale of the midnighter arc, hero-side from monty castlevania (or whatever his name is), after you recieve the lost cure, i go to perez park to cure the lost. the last couple of times i ran this arc, i would see something strange, and it seems to be getting worse each time. when i would hit a lost target, they would freeze in place, disappear, and a npc citizen would appear slightly nearby. i love doing this because if you do it near a group, chaos ensues and the group tries to kill the cured, but untoucable citizen. BUT! where the lost was cured, did their freeze animation, and then disappear, their shadow of their frozen form would remain on the ground. the citizen spawns nearby with their own shadow, stares at you for several seconds and then runs off to a door nearby. the frozen lost shadow stays in place for several seconds and then runs off in a random direction. strange and confusing at first to see. BUT! even weirder is this last time where i cured the lost. they did their freeze animation, a citizen spawns a bit off place, but occasionally the cured lost remains and then runs off and disappears. the shadow of the lost remains for a few seconds and then it spawns multiple shadows running off, i counted up to 8 times, once every second. i did not see any other reporting anything like this, so i figured i would report it. πŸ™‚
  8. sorry, i only saw the other response... i was not intentionally ignoring you! ok, i should have known that. ok case closed, just COH weirdness, i am use to that. πŸ™‚
  9. oops the detailed info only report -run speed and fire damage, even on the character creation. πŸ™‚
  10. ok, that makes sense, the first part. and yeah, duh, i should have remembered that it scales... πŸ˜… the description, yes, but the detailed power info does not list it. hence the confusion. is it just missing text? thank you for responding! πŸ™‚
  11. hello! i was running on my lvl 29 ninja/TA mm, princess dragon, when i noticed that the Mastermind Trick Arrow Oil slick arrow, takes defense debuffs encs. but under the power infomation, it gives no info on the -def. when i put in a lvl 30 SO def debuff, it showed only that the -def power was augmented 38% (or something like that). on City of Data, it list one of the effects for oil slick arrow (MM TA) as base -25% def. so i tested it out on some poor helpless lvl 1 hellions with a power analyzer. they went from 0% def to -100% def, (not ignited) which was odd, but ok. so i went to brickstown and found some freaks more my level, it dropped them to something like -34% def, which i kind of expected. what is going on here? why is the -def %s not listed in the power information? why would it scale like that for lower levels? is this a bug? just curious! πŸ™‚
  12. hello, i was just trying things out with my lvl 37 FF/beam rifle defender, the angle of dorkness, and i tried putting in a KB2KD sudden acceleration in repulsion field and i am extremely disappointed. i know it supresses repel, but testing the knockdown on level 1 mobs in atlas it was hardly ever hitting and not doing terrible much. so i went to brickstown for more near level mobs and they only got knocked down occasionally. i popped out the KD enc, and they were repelled all over the place, often. is this how it is supposed to work? because it's not at all good with a KD, and while i like the repel solo, i rarely use it in teams since it scatters everything. any ideas what to do? i am afraid it will go back to only a rare occasion power... πŸ€₯
  13. a mullet, pistol fingers, and giant chicken feet? i got altitis needs that are going unfulfilled! 😁
  14. i know i was being vague. i wanted that way, because i do decent business to suport my altoholism, and did not want to give away too much. I figure it was random statistical noise that gave me that 4% "rror. unfortunately i do not have too much experience producing readable data. nor the tools. i'm not even using a spreadsheet, just text. πŸ˜„
  15. yeah, you are right. there is no reason, absolutely none. but there is always the sneaking suspicion that when you try to convert to a proc, that it's working against you. but what i was really wondering was where those biases were, if they existed, and if i was seeing any or not. that is why i figured why not track a couple of thousand conversions and see if anything interesting pops. πŸ™‚
  16. that's the thing... it is random, and it is fair. so you may get the thing you want on the first try. or you may get, like me this morning, after 15 conversions, sometimes getting the exact same enhancement that you started with several times, before getting the one i wanted. it's random, sometimes it works in our favour, other times not at all. but if you do it often enough, it will work as it should. it's just very frustrating sometimes. πŸ™‚
  17. This is something that I had asked myself as I started to carve myself a niche in enhancement crafting and selling. As a chronic altoholic, I needed a way to fund my severe altitis. Crafting is my jam, and my bread and butter. As of this moment, I have crafted 24,078 enhancements total, with 22,474 enhancements sold on the Auction House, 80-85+% of those were IO sets. (If you are curious as to how I know this, it comes from the information kiosk near the train stations) I got interested in the random number generator (RNG) when I thought I was seeing certain trends in my converting large groups of the same enhancements at a time to another set. I could not tell if it was one of the cognitive biases, like the gambler's fallacy, that i was thinking I was seeing a pattern in the conversion results. Since I was converting massive amounts of enhancements, I also wondered if there was a way to game the system. That certain sets converted better than others. So all in all, for the sake of this post, I tracked 4708 enhancement conversions, of one to another within the same category set. All of these conversions were of the "out of set" but within the "category." That is to say, conversion of one ranged damage enhancement to another ranged damage from the same category set. The nice thing is that if you stick with the same category sets, in this manner, your results are always the same. I am going be deliberately vague with details, because I do not want to reveal too much of what I am doing for fear that I will lose my niche. But, I will explain as much as I can. Some enhancement sets will convert to only two or three different sets within the same category. This makes it very easy to track the odds of the conversion. So, for example, I have a ranged damage enhancement and I convert it in category, there are certain sets which convert to two or three different sets within the same category. If each of those sets have six varitions of enhancements each (ie. damage or damage/endurance, etc.) then the odds of converting to one specific type of enhancement is ONE out of SIX. If I convert a ranged damage (accuracy/damage) enhancement it would have a one in six change of being another ranged damage (accuracy/damage) in another set of the same category. (If you change within the set, and there are six different varieties in that set, you have a one in five chance of getting what you are hoping for. But that is another story, especially if you do not get what you were hoping for the first time. Seriously, look up the gambler's fallacy.) My crafting niche was generally two completely different enhancement categories, buying in bulk recipes that I crafted and then converted regularly, to get certain resulting enhancements that I would sell on the AH. (For a decent price, of course. Seriously, you cannot sell 22K IO enhancements if you are trying to gouge players. I know the going rates very well, by now.) I will call these sets Set A and Set B, for simplicity and secrecy's sake. When I first started tracking these conversions, Set A was more consistantly tracked, meaning that I did large blocks of the same recipe, around 70 at a time, and converted them wholesale. Set B was more of a mixed bag, where I would craft 70 of several varieties from the same set, 30 from Set B2 and 40 from Set B5 for example. But since they were always the same recipes, they would all convert in category to the same sets, so tracking was easy and consistant. Later, I found Set B to more lucrative and always sold much faster, so I switched to almost exclusively crafting Set B. At that point I started crafting and converting pure stacks of the same enhancement, for example 70 enhancements of Set B4 at one time. In each of the three data groups that I collected, I would note one particular enhancement type (ie. ranged damage (acc/dam)) of the resulting conversions to track the odds of each conversion. NOTE: I know there are a lot smarter people than me, especially with statistics, if I made any errors please tell me! My statistics professor in university was totally boring! πŸ˜„ Nitty Gritty details: Best group conversion: 20 out of 70 (11.666 is 1 out of 6 odds for a stack of 70) Worst group conversion: 4 out of 70 Set A (1-6): Set B Mixed: Set B (1-6): Combined Totals: Results: Set A. Set B (pure). Set B (Mixed). Set A and Set B (pure) combined. Set A and Sets B (mixed and pure) combined. Ultimate Conclusion!: TL;DR version: BUT! (for the DEVs eyes only!)
  18. all of which make me wonder... is there a way i could actually make some of these models, test them, and then submit them for possible inclusion to COHHC? if there are custom building tools out there than can be used for just such an occasion? πŸ˜„ i would gladly make some of them, spend the time and effort, since i think that they might be easily modified from existing models. sometimes dreams need a little work to become reality. 😎
