  1. Yeah, I bolted over there, and it does look like it might have been put in at the same time as the Mot plaque. The use of dates and lengthy descriptions seems part of the style of these new ones, and this one has a "tell" in that it lists 2013, the year of the game shutdown. There's another plaque of this bunch, I believe, just north of Synapse in Skyway, the mayor's "moment of thanks" plaque. I'm sure there's more, I've just not run into them yet. Good find, though!
  2. I don't recall that either, and will go look at it. That's not something recently added at the same time that they added some other plaques around the city like the one in Talos facing the Dark Astoria entrance and describing the Mot attack, is it?
  3. It's not just these, nor just stealth. I recently dueled a CoT with earthquake ability, which my earth dom likewise had, and though I lacked stealth, I did manage to get close enough behind him to use my ability as a first strike without any reaction from him based on proximity. Imagine my surprise then, when my earthquake took multiple seconds to enact whereas he spun on the first quake and immediately activated his earthquake at my feet. We both fell and I recovered to finish him off, but it's very annoying that there really is no such thing as a true surprise on an NPC enemy. Also annoying that the player's earthquake power takes so much longer to activate than the NPC equivalent power.
  4. I never realized this. By "unlock Cimerora", do you mean completing an ITF? Because I have 50s with access to Cimerora access, even completed Senator Decimus Aquila's tutorial mission, and they do not have Cimerora on their portal menu in the Big O. If it's not completing an ITF, I'd really like to know what needs to be done.
  5. I, for one, would dub him "Steak Knife". 😉 Did everyone give up on including description details for training and comparison? Trike, I'd very much like to know what the text was that rendered these art styles. They're very much in keeping with what I'd like to achieve on some projects.
  6. There's also the matter that Cimerora is under the guardianship of the Midnighters' Club and is accessible through their property. Access to their properties used to be via a mission arc only, but even today when it is a quick run over to Night Ward for a badge unlock, it still requires something to unlock access to the Club doors, signifying the Midnighter's permission.
  7. Well, there was that time in the OG game where I ran 22 players through the Atta cave, but I was young, experimental, and had no clue what an exploit was. (I can tell you that taking essentially a league into a wide cave with wall-to-wall trolls (the game apparently kept adding them as our ranks increased) is a heap of a lot of fun. But I'm wiser now and don't endorse exploits. Perhaps some day they'll make it a league event.) Ahem. Under normal play, however, I'm usually 1 or 8. I have done a lot of 2-person teams with my best friend who is an infrequent player these days, but if I'm in a pug, I prefer 5 or more. I've been in an awkward position once or twice where I thought the leader was going to recruit a full team, but tried to run the mission with just 3 players. I find that a bit too personal for my tastes when we're all strangers.
  8. Hey! I saw Wafer Thin Mint over by the P2W START vendor recently. I remember thinking, "now that's an original name others probably won't try to get". I've got about 50 to 60 characters at this point. I enjoy trying out different archetypes and power sets, and I find it relieving to have a completely different character to switch over to after a long, dedicated run up the leveling ranks with one pair of power sets. For my many 50s that I occasionally switch over to, I take a slower approach towards getting their badges and tricking them out with the best set enhancements. But people vary. I've met characters with hundred of veteran levels (I just teamed with one today with around 830 or so levels) and that tells me the player is laser-focused on one character. That's great! They're focused on what they enjoy, too. Your arrangement might be something in between, say 80% main character, and 20% exploration of other characters. Find what you like, and be willing to mix it up a bit if need be to keep things interesting.
  9. Not criticizing just curious: Would that not negate any reason to go work through Warburg and secure a nuke?
  10. Marvel has always played a bit fast and loose with shapeshifters and what they can do. About the only thing they've shown (to my knowledge) they clearly can't mimic is Wolverine's adamantium (original X-men movie), which makes sense because it's not a DNA thing. But it's clear in this series that Morph's ability are intended to happen on a DNA level. Marvel really should clear some things up though. If Morph can mimic Quicksilver's speed, then why not Rogue's abilities or Professor X's? With current understanding, Morph should be someone capable of running Cerebro in Xavier's absence, and flinging metal on Magneto's scale.
  11. absolutely So, if I understand what you're saying, the actual position of the name in the display list is tied to the costume part's usage, and not just the name itself? That's...more than a little crazy.
  12. Apologies if this has been done to death. I did a search on "sorting" and saw a ton of comments on character selections screen and enhancements, but didn't notice any regarding this. Parts lists on costume features have grown long over the years. This is a good thing, but alphabetization has gone by the wayside in the process and it gets cumbersome to try to comb the list looking for a specific part. I realized this anew when looking into DougGraves thread request for people to create using certain items. I found the talon boots DG suggested (why are variations of these not with male and huge?) but there were 3 listings I found, and one of them was nowhere near the other two. I'd like to suggest the lists be made alphabetical.
  13. Are they by any chance limited to zones with train stations? I noticed after dozens of Kronos attacks in Talos that they seemed programmed to move, slow or fast, towards the train station, with those who reach it successfully hopping on top of it. It makes me wonder how their programming works in a zone without a train station, like Peregrine Island, Crey's Folly, or Perez Park. Do they then home in on the base portal, and if so, what do they do for RWZ where the base portal is deep inside a complex?
  14. Responses: I was watching some reaction videos this morning over coffee and realized there's one thing about the show I find annoying: Wolverine standing or sitting around flexing one set of claws in or out as he makes a comment. It's one thing if he's making a point, such as in the first episode when he wanted another character to understand the real danger Logan posed, but seven episodes in of this casual claw displaying has me almost believing the show creators fear we'll forget his claws if they don't display them at every opportunity. As if. None of the other characters do this with their signature powers, so why make an annoying visual statement at every chance? It's a minor annoyance in the grand scheme of things, but one that I hope they'll address in the future.
  15. I've long been irritated by Hollywood's even longer habit of forcing actors to pick a stage name because some pencil-pushing jerk didn't like the real name. However, I might actually see a need in this case, and am rather surprised a stage name wasn't forced. Did a quick search and turns out that Myles has stunt doubled for The Rock, so yeah "rather large" indeed. But also... I'm really surprised they used the name Dom Gigante. Are you sure it's not Rocco Gigante? Domenico Gigante is in prison for allegedly committing a quadruple murder in Florida back in March 2023. I'd find it highly ironic if they stuck with the name. Now Rocco Gigante is listed as Sofia Falcone's husband in the DC fandom wiki and other online sources. If the series did make his name "Dom", I'd want to hear why.
  16. Never read the book. Watch the mini-series in the 1980s. Those that have seen both visual productions (and can remember anything of the 1980s version): how do they compare?
  17. If I remember previous dev comments correctly, that would probably fall under "homage" which would be acceptable so long as the costume is not a match as well. It might be as simple as making sure the chest symbol was a Hero Corp symbol. But when in doubt, refer back to the EULA.
  18. He's rather costly, you know. We could get a fine 8 point white-tail deer and a cheery red panda for what feed we pay him, and probably still have a bit left over to give the banjo some strings.
  19. We really need a drum rimshot icon in the Like feature. 😉
  20. Apologies if my post gave that impression. It was not intended.
  21. Episode 7 Another solid episode with a good many cameos. The big bad is not a character I'm familiar with (I must have stopped collecting right before his first appearance), but I believe his name was the reason for a name change for our own Citadel.
  22. Possible spoilers throughout the thread: Okay, I know, I know; What If...? is Marvel property, but you have to admit it's a lot simpler and catchier than saying "What do you suppose might happen if...?" I'd like to hear ideas of what a Homecoming "What If...?" Issue might entail. Something where the Ouroboros crew is tweaking the timeline again and we get to experience variations (not necessarily permanent changes). Such as: What if Statesman...
  23. They basically violated Evil Overlord List #22: No matter how tempted I am with the prospect of unlimited power, I will not consume any energy field bigger than my head.
  24. Clever! But you only play him in Autumn, right? 😉
