  2. I play mostly brute and scrapper. Was originally looking for something to play in friends' fire farms that isn't melee but survives and very helpful, Soloing, teaming elsewhere is a bonus, but primary focus is useful in fire farms.   4. You may be stuck in totals mode, the control on the left side that says Info, Effects, Totals, Enhance. Click any tab besides Totals.
  5. You can select an install location. The internet based version checks the internet for updates when it starts up. Neither the binaries, the clickonce local installer, the app itself, nor the new custom installer should be checking the internet for anything. As for custom install locations I put one together that lets you select your install location mentioned a bit before your post https://forums.homecomingservers.com/index.php/topic,6298.msg54071.html#msg54071 If you are having trouble with that one, the direct files (no installer needed) are available as well under the Debug Binaries section of the releases page. It has 3 of the 4 possibilties: A zip file of the application no installer needed listed as - Debug binaries A local installer created with the .net framework's built-in installer creation system that doesn't check the internet listed as - Clickonce Local installer A custom poorly built and horribly styled installer, that contains the zipped application and places the files in a folder of your choosing. listed as - Custom Installer Which leaves the only installer that does check the internet, created with the same built-in installer creation system that does check the internet for updates at https://imaginarydevelopment.github.io/imaginary-hero-designer/publish/publish.htm Hope that helps.
  6. In my experience when this happens it's a registry problem. I didn't have this problem with the current version of Mids but I did have it with the previous versions and I had to do a registry modification to fix it. DISCLAIMER: Mucking with your registry is dangerous. If you don't know what you're doing please wait for an official fix. I am not responsible if you fuck up your computer. So basically the issue is that the open command doesn't always get properly set in the registry. The registry entry you need to modify is: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Applications\Hero Designer.exe\shell\open\command If that either doesn't have a value or is set to the wrong value change it to the correct path and then try again. Alternatively you can modif the file association directly using the registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\mxd_auto_file\shell\open\command Thank you for the starting point to work from.

  8. I guess it wasn't clear that that option has existed for a long time now, and people were asking for an installer, not binaries. Maybe it's obscure developer jargon. I did this thinking the already existing and routinely updated/released binaries listed in the released folder of github (https://github.com/ImaginaryDevelopment/imaginary-hero-designer/releases/tag/bin.0.0.6 for example) were not sufficient.

  10. I don't have much experience with TW/Bio yet, but I'll try. Hopefully you are still interested in the late reply. 1. I usually do 1 acc, 2 dmg, 1 end rdx, 1 rech. Not sure if you were going for non-io based, but I don't usually do much 6 slotting until I can get a set IO with some combo for that 6th slot. 2. I've only skipped Defensive Sweep, and it seems to work pretty well. 3. I 6 slotted all my attacks except arc of destruction, and I don't think that was the best one to skip a slot on, so I'll change that later, probabl drop out the 6th on Crushing Blow 4. If something serious needs to die fast and first, I open with Rend Armor, Follow Through, Whirling Smash, Arc of Destruction, Titan Sweep. If AoE then Arc, Whirling, Titan Sweep, Follow through, Rend, Crushing. 5. if possible, I prefer to DNA siphon the dead for the regen/recovery to move to the next group. Apparently I hear TW can knock down AVs! 6. I kinda think Defensive Sweep. It is just melee defense, but my build is overly tight and super recharge focused. Bio. 1. I use them all but I question Parasitic sometimes with the long recharge even with me super recharge focused. I really feel like I need more input or experience with Bio to feel like my slotting is right, but I have HC 3 Gladiator's InEx just a single End Recovery or Life Env Mod - 4 parts Shield Wall, 1 LotG Global. Adap isn't a slotted power Evolving - Steadfast def + a regular Resist IO DNA Siphon - 1 Theft of Essense + end, a Recovery, a Health, and an undecided empty slot Genetic - 1 Slot End rdx Parasitic - 2 Recharge, 1 Heal/Absorb I run all the toggles, additionally Maneuvers, Weave, Combat Jumping and most the time Tough It feels like regen to me, as I'm diving into 8x groups solo, so I have to watch like crazy for signs of health dropping and hit Ablative or Siphon I have only 2 slots in Health (numina,miracle recovery) and 1 in stamina (perf shift +end proc) Hopefully that wasn't too much jargon, and you have Mid's Reborn or Pine's planner?
  11. That would most likely require a source code change, which no one has. Honestly, Pine's as it stands probably needs to be re-written for .NET 4.8. Mega downloads only seems to work in Google Chrome. I couldn't get it to work in Mozilla Firefox either. I put it up here for those that don't use Google Chrome. Actually I have mid's source code. Not titan's source code when they took it up, but Mid's. And We have completely reverse engineered the app, and recompiled it for .net 4.7.2. Not sure if that helps the perf at all. It is being worked on by Pine, Myself, and Crytilis.

  14. Yeah, not being able to select the location directory is a no-no. That's the way the built-in .net installer works. It does not allow directory selection, nor is there any option for us to include it unfortunately.   15. Would you be so kind as to describe the issue? Pine's v2.22 (have not tested the beta update) simply does nothing when you try to import a build (where "build" is a data chunk copied to the clipboard). This applies even to data chunks produced in v2.22. I see this too. The links work fine, but the chunk just opens to the default blaster for me. looking at this now.

  17. An App? Why not a HTML5 web page that we can link to? I, personally would love to make it html, however, there's a lot of ground to cover in the code before porting would be viable. At the very first chance I get, I'm making this thing a webapp, (and if somehow I manage, it will be mobile friendly)

Well, the .NET Framework 3.5 was released way back in 2007, if I understand the previous body of work correctly this change is still bringing the code up to a > 10 yr old standard for .net applications. I'm not sure which way forward would be better for the user base. .Net 3.5 goes back to Windows XP. .Net 3.5.1 was included Windows 7. .Net 4.5 was included in Windows 8, Windows 2012, Windows 2012R2. .Net 4.6 is included on Windows 10. Whereas the even older one may have been present from installing other programs that used it already. So we could move forward to .Net 4.5 bringing us up to many newer features and capabilities in the code but possibly making a certain portion of users have to install 4.5, others already have it. We could move forward to .Net 4.6 bringing more, but making another portion of users have to install, with others already having that. 4.7 may be a different beast. It hasn't come with a windows release, but has come in many Windows 10 updates. Somewhere in 4.7 or .Net Core they switched to not requiring a framework install any longer. The installers/deploys come with all the necessary libraries. Since we have no telemetry/tracking in the software (and no where that could even capture that info). ------ Begin opinion and speculation on the path forward: We will likely move as the codebase drives us. These are my personal thoughts on the matter and do not reflect any discussion or agreement with Pine. I intend to always put his input first on decisions of this nature(barring a schism that many partnerships/companies/relationships sometimes exhibit).
  20. Unfortunately the way the data files are currently implemented doesn't allow merging of changes. Pine has been working very hard at the database files and a tool to merge what you've done with that he's done doesn't exist. We're working on a way to make concurrent db updates more viable. My corporate overlords don't allow us to use DropBox, so I can't get it here at work. *sob* We now have a local installer (for copying/thumbdrives/offline install) at https://github.com/ImaginaryDevelopment/imaginary-hero-designer/releases tagged as Clickonce local installer. and a web installer (that should provide auto updating and update checking) at https://imaginarydevelopment.github.io/imaginary-hero-designer/publish/publish.htm Of note: windows 10 must have tried to stop me at least 3 times running the installer, and then allowing it to install, then allowing the app to launch. So much as Pine described before, Windows doesn't recognize the software so it will make it more difficult for you to not think about letting it run.
  23. I wonder the same. However I saw someone rocking in a fire farm that had that power, idk if it was for sets or for use. The player was amazingly resilient too.
  24. How does it do for solo leveling? I'm 29 so far, with no build plan, maybe this would work better.
  25. Does this solo ok? At at levels? I'm up to 29, not following a build, and well soloing doesn't work. If this is better for learning the combo or leveling, I might spec into it.
