  1. I kinda like the DoT idea in theory, solo-wise. Keeps the food alive if you're wailing on the boss just long enough to milk that damage buff out of them. Still, how much it'll do and how fast it ticks is a big part of if it's a good idea or not. Could go either way, looking forward to the next build.
  2. @Galaxy Brain Kinda pointless now, but how did that Shadow Maul test pan out?
  3. Can we add SoAs to this request?
  4. Blow two power choices for omega maneuver, which is still not going to be worth it unless it's CD is lowered to match the nuke overhaul of I24, and the gun drone itself is still rendered useless again in the process. No thank you.
  5. Again, being better than live is a low bar. While the last build did have way too much burst at times when you could max out it's damage and land a crit, the opposite is now true - it doesn't do enough damage to justify using it as AoE filler, let alone a melee nuke. At damage cap it should be doing more than what two base damage filler AOEs are capable of, if it is indeed intended to be like Lightning Rod/shield charge.
  6. That's soul drain. @Bionic_FleaWe are aware, but it's stated design goal was to be a "Melee nuke" akin to Lightning Rod/Shield charge, which it fails to do. Additionally, the ability doesn't do enough damage in the current build to really be worth it in general. Looking at my build now, dropping it to fit in fireball with bombardment or ragnarok slotted would be a better use of the slots. Is it better than live? Sure, but that's an incredibly low bar.
  7. Basically, if you don't need endurance, it does bonus damage to make it still worth using. The power was often skipped for being unnecessary and/or not worth it, but the buff was intended to make it akin to an AOE burst attack light lightning rod and shield charge, the nerf in this build makes it more akin to a spammable AOE other sets have with about 5x the cooldown. I'd rather drop it to fit fireball in the build. The pendulum has swung too far the other way, now.
  8. I don't think the clarity is necessary. Does Dark melee have to emphasize that it's power comes from the nether, and not from turning off all the lights in the room?
  9. Without getting too into it: The meme originated as a response to Gen Xers/Boomers saying out of touch things, or blaming the newer generations for their grievances with the world. I don't know if these would ring as a powerset name, but they could be good character names!
  10. Did somebody beat me to it? 😧
  11. Yeah, it still scales off end the same way it did in the last build, it's just considerably more underwhelming now.
  12. It involves re-routing the energy and has a bit of other stuff going on there, if you want to really read into it. It still works! 😆
  13. I'll try to be more literal so it's simpler to understand next time. As for the topic, how about Surge Protection/Protector?
  14. Being annoyed with a snarky veiled threat isn't really comparable to screeching about a name. Nice overreaction, though.
  15. I think I can hear my blood boiling.
  16. Or they just got sick of hearing about it. Either way, Something pertaining to conduits, static, shocking ect would be a good place to start for a new name. I'm blanking now, but I don't like the new one.
  17. Is that true, or was it a reaction to all the whining? I liked Shock Therapy better, Electrical Affinity is so generic. A loud minority of people whined "on behalf" of others.
  18. No crit is fine, but it needs to hit harder, or have it's bonus damage reinstated in the next build. This thing's a wet noodle. I have no real complaints about shadow maul, though I personally think it's still a tiny bit slow.
  19. I'd argue it won't be high at any time, anymore.
  20. Not to mention that the actual nukes this is supposed to be based on do bonus damage based on proximity, which makes the removal DC/DE's bonus damage questionable. 200 extra damage on +4 isn't a small contribution.
  21. Worked like a charm, I didn't even think about that. Thank you.
  22. Comparing numbers, here with the previous screenshots, I've decided to log into my claw/bio. For the sake of an accurate test, I have disabled the damage aura, the -res aura, and offensive mode. Bio is not modifying these results at all, this is purely what claws can do by itself. Dark Equilibrium's numbers are also included below. Following tests are on +4 council. Spin with no stacks of follow up. Spin with just one stack of follow-up. Spin with two stacks of follow up, at the bottom you'll see it with three. Dark Equilibrium, no soul drain, full endurance (Ageless, first layer to make sure.) Fully soul drained+AAO + Assault Core Hybrid, effectively damage capped. The 309's were targets affected by the fury proc from the soul drain. End result: Intentionally held back, spammable AOE from claws can hit harder than a fully buffed to it's max potential dark equilibrium in just two uses, or just flat out crit for more.
  23. Exactly. My problem with your soul drain suggestion is that they would have to modify something else with the ability to make up for it, and I don't want soul drain to end up like Dark Consumption did, here. A finger on the monkey's paw will curl. Also, just tested again with reds+hybrid active to test how hard DE hits at the damage cap, it was an average of about 20 more than the screenshots I posted earlier. So far - Shadow maul = B+ Dark Equilibrium: Was an A, now is more of a D-.
  24. While it's better than what we have live, that's a super low bar. Honestly, it doesn't even kill +4 minions anymore with full damage buffs and Musc Core. The last build I can understand needing some reigning in, but they made multiple big changes at the same time. Just nerfing crit was enough, and honestly the damage nerf would have been fine too, but they also removed the bonus damage. The bonus damage was a good chunk of the ability's damage. The ability is kinda trash as an AOE damage ability, much less a nuke akin to lightning rod, now. I assume since it's a pseudopet, the combat log won't show me the results, but shield charge absolutely hits harder, now. An attack from my secondary. We should be considering players that want to roll dark with other armor sets, their results will be even worse, if /shield can't make this thing hit hard, it's not good.
