  1. I was about to mention this after some reading, but you nailed it. Find a spot to cram a steadfast and you'll have much less knock problems. Between that, your heals and IO'd defenses, /dark is about as tanky as it gets, though I do hear good things about rad armor.
  2. I think it's less the animation and more the speed. If the animation was faster it could keep that 'agile buzzsaw' feel to it. Though I personally love the animation itself, so I might be biased. Honestly, I think Spin is the worst one, it doesn't really make sense for claws conceptually, I stab the ground and it causes a shockwave? At least with shockwave, you could say you're doing some anime nonsense and projecting your slash by cutting the air, or whatever.
  3. Already 90%, wow. Well deserved appreciation for a great team - I'm unfortunately too broke to contribute right now. 😛
  4. It's giving someone build advice, not a discussion for bots/storm in general. I gave you the chance to act like an adult and make a dedicated thread, but since you want to be spanked so badly, here's a clip of a much weaker build proving you wrong. Notice how I double/triple pull several times and didn't die or really use that many inspirations. It's why I picked this clip, it's essentially the worst possible scenario. Turns out your petless mastermind build isn't a good frame of reference. You are not getting my new build, it's only for friends, and you have ignored my requests. We are done. Drop the ego, you clearly still have much to learn.
  5. If it's wrong, I don't want to be right.
  6. And this is why we need to be able to detonate teammates. 😛
  7. This isn't about being secret, this whole little back and forth between us just isn't on topic. I tried being civil about it, but if you truly insist on being proven wrong for all to see, you can make a separate thread for the occasion and I'll gladly collect a few video clips for you. You'll understand if I'm not too active during the holiday, but rest assured, I'll respond by the weekend. If you can't do that simple task, we're done talking. I don't really care for how you've been trying to hijack the OP's thread with your outdated view on /storm.
  8. Well, says he went with support - so that's a negative. I'm curious if the build has double assault, though. My crabbermind build was really tight, so I had to drop one assault.
  9. There isn't a problem that excessive, overkill amounts of dakka can't solve.
  10. Cold or Time if you want hardier pets and some debuffs/control. Storm if you want to embrace the fact that no matter what secondary you pick, your minions will die horribly and often. Maximum single target damage, plenty of control and a whole lot of chaos.
  11. Yet, has enough -tohit to be effectively softcapped, and enough control and debuffs to keep things still for your demon army's slaughter. @Rooster GoldA massive QoL set of binds that helps the AT a lot here. It takes some setup, but makes managing your pets so much easier. Demons/dark is very strong, make sure tar pit and fearsome stare are being spammed and you should have good results. No idea for Beast Mastery. https://cityofheroes.fandom.com/wiki/Mastermind_Numpad_Pet_Controls
  12. Yes I do, and like I said, you can PM me if you want to discuss this further. I don't care, it's irrelevant to this thread. PM me.
  13. Afraid you're wrong. The carnies are annoying, but no threat to me. They get shredded like nothing, just like everything else. The only annoying factor about them is when they phase out, stalling an otherwise quick kill. Your build is good, but it sacrifices too much for that defense and doesn't take advantage of Storm's sheer damage potential. Between the knocks, pet aggro, crowd control stuns, spot healing, support hybrid when it's up and bodyguard mode, it's really hard to take the build down and will be even harder when the AI changes come in. Sure, if I just stood still in the middle of a pack of carnies without the Hybrid up, I'd probably get trashed eventually. Goes for most builds, though. Storm has a lot of mitigation going for it. Second, it's built with the hybrid and purple insps in mind, which is a common build goal nowadays - and it can do perfectly fine without them, regardless. Malta's easy, the only thing to watch out for are the Zues class titans, since you can't knock them as easily. Position yourself away from your pets before they launch the gas missiles and they'll go down easy. Your bots are resistant I don't want to derail an otherwise unrelated thread too much, if you want to discuss this further, please PM me.
  14. Force feedback in gale, tornado and lightning storm will give you a very high uptime with the recharge buff. If you insist on not taking kd procs, at least do that so you can fulfill your role more frequently. Not able to use mids right now, but do consider my slotting if you want to make the most of storm, tornado and sleet.
  15. Any chance this can get the same treatment /Devices got? Would be a huge QoL boost for the traps powerset.
  16. I'd change hurricane's slotting. You're going to run dry fast between that, the storm powers and photon grenade, even with ageless. Some elaboration on your build goals might help me come up with a better solution. I have to insist, you really want the build up proc in the assault bot.
  17. Every attack your assault bot does will have a chance to give the assault bot build-up. This stacks with itself pretty often. Considering how his burn patches are your big damage, this yields great results. Do me a favor: Try it. I'll buy you an unslotter and the IO itself, if you want. Spamming it while all your other stuff is on cooldown is amazing control. It's a HUGE cone, too. 1: Support hybrid caps defenses on the build I posted. On top of this, the control and bodyguard mode effectively negate any meaningful retaliation. 2: It's not really a proc heavy build, the KD procs are they to prevent your bots from scattering the mobs, which would ultimately lead to slower clear speeds, and perhaps a wipe under certain circumstances. This build was tested for the last week, and handled +4 arachnos, carnies and Malta without too many problems.
  18. Storm benefits quite a bit from recharge, having three thunderstorms out at once as two tornados kill things, along with double stacking sleet regularly all require a good amount. 1: Two slot gale and get a KB to KD IO and Force Feedback proc into it. 2: Replace medicine and Sorcery with Fighting and speed. 3: Try to get two Mark of Supremacy IOs in each of your pets. Easiest 30% recharge slotting in the game. 4: Six slot the assault bot and get the Soulbound Allegiance proc in it, and take the Damage one too, since it's free recovery and amazing value. 5: Have a KB-KD IO in every pet, but put the Overwhelming force proc into your battle drones for some amazing control. 6: If you run with the ageless incarnate, focus on procs and frankenslotting lightning storm and Tornado (if not used to mule Defense and resist aura IOs) for big damage. Here's an older build I was using, should be a good reference. http://www.cohplanner.com/mids/download.php?uc=1616&c=757&a=1514&f=HEX&dc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
  19. That's another thing I forgot to mention. They still have the punch, but if you want them to melee you gotta move them to melee. It's better than having a good formation ruined by your assault bot deciding he's going to melee the war wolf across the map instead of blasting it. Besides, most enemies - especially low level ones - will come to you, anyway.
  20. Assuming it can be addressed, at least it ends up better in the end.
  21. Only before your first protector, really. Having your bot run ahead will more often than not lead to it's untimely dismantling. More offensively capable secondaries will manage without the melee attacks, defensive sets like FF will notice a very marginal damage difference, but a much higher chance of survival with a lower chance of your pet running off and overpulling. Overcomplicating things with a pre-32 melee behavior on predominantly ranged pets would be a bad way to handle it. The pros outweigh any con.
  22. All I want for Christmas, are these changes~ Small thing I've noticed lately, though - after a bit more testing. Thug's T1 minions have a habit of stutter-stepping towards their target instead of staying put, enforcers are pretty well behaved, but the melee centric brute tends to run off way too far at times, still. Bots are VERY well behaved, it's astonishing how much of a difference it is. Demons also appear to be behave, though I fear the demonlings aren't living up to their potential since they don't run into melee as often. Ember's AI should be more aggressive, so he hangs with your pets for the AOE heal and resist aura, as well as his breath weapon. No comment on ninjas, beasts or undead, I don't really play them.
  23. The fact pineapple is polling so high is very, very upsetting to me, and I'm going to kill hundreds of council as a response to this information.
  24. For a thread that's supposed to be about focused feedback regarding these specific pet & AI changes, we're sure derailing it with a lot of completely unrelated PVP garbage. So make another thread for the PVP mastermind suggestions, this isn't the place for it. My praise for the changes still stand. Have yet to encounter much issue with bots or thugs.
  25. Just a quick request - I was curious if it was off the table for /Traps to get the trip mine buff that devices had a good bit ago, as it would help the power's reliability quite a bit. Though, I would understand if it doesn't happen. Traps is a pretty insane set relative to devices. A recharge reduction on detonator would be nice, as well.
