The problem with that is that wiping out +4 minions is a trivial task. A critical shockwave can do that by itself with some damage buffs. Remember: Dark melee is buffing the everloving crap out of it's own damage, if it's unable to wipe out minions with 200% damage buffs while being balanced like a mini-nuke, it's a garbage ability, full stop. I can agree with removing crits, but this thing being able to obliterate people with fully saturated damage buffs isn't a big deal, because again - dark melee is buffing itself to absurd levels. Have any other scrapper match the buff of a soul drain buffed dark melee scrapper and they'll be wiping out minions without effort, it'll just accidentally happen as they're hitting the boss. The concern about it being too much doesn't hold up. -

Honestly, the original way it dealt damage with criticals, bonus damage and such would be just fine, I don't know why we're reinventing the wheel, here. It did too much, so scale it back. Why totally reimagine how it works with every revision? -

Balancing around incarnates is one of those things that makes sense as an idea until you think about it, the actual game and how it's played, in addition to the whole idea behind the incarnate system. Ageless Destiny, Assault Hybrid and a few Alpha slots would have the biggest direct impact on the abilities themselves here, neither of which would cause Dark Consumption to break anything that isn't already demonstrably more broken somewhere else, in a much stronger set no less. -

Improper use of that, but sure. The solution to an ill-conceived taunt aura problem isn't to formulate an over-complex fusion mechanic to device abilities that will never see the light of day. Would it be cool? Sure, that'd be cool. I don't like the drone/bomb fusion example, but it could be neat in other places. Will it ever happen? Not a chance. -

Its over-complicating a simple issue. Time bomb being a remotely placed entity with taunt would accomplish the same thing, realistically, I doubt CP would ever implement that. -

I kinda like the DoT idea in theory, solo-wise. Keeps the food alive if you're wailing on the boss just long enough to milk that damage buff out of them. Still, how much it'll do and how fast it ticks is a big part of if it's a good idea or not. Could go either way, looking forward to the next build. -

Blow two power choices for omega maneuver, which is still not going to be worth it unless it's CD is lowered to match the nuke overhaul of I24, and the gun drone itself is still rendered useless again in the process. No thank you. -

Again, being better than live is a low bar. While the last build did have way too much burst at times when you could max out it's damage and land a crit, the opposite is now true - it doesn't do enough damage to justify using it as AoE filler, let alone a melee nuke. At damage cap it should be doing more than what two base damage filler AOEs are capable of, if it is indeed intended to be like Lightning Rod/shield charge. -

That's soul drain. @Bionic_FleaWe are aware, but it's stated design goal was to be a "Melee nuke" akin to Lightning Rod/Shield charge, which it fails to do. Additionally, the ability doesn't do enough damage in the current build to really be worth it in general. Looking at my build now, dropping it to fit in fireball with bombardment or ragnarok slotted would be a better use of the slots. Is it better than live? Sure, but that's an incredibly low bar. -

Basically, if you don't need endurance, it does bonus damage to make it still worth using. The power was often skipped for being unnecessary and/or not worth it, but the buff was intended to make it akin to an AOE burst attack light lightning rod and shield charge, the nerf in this build makes it more akin to a spammable AOE other sets have with about 5x the cooldown. I'd rather drop it to fit fireball in the build. The pendulum has swung too far the other way, now. -

Without getting too into it: The meme originated as a response to Gen Xers/Boomers saying out of touch things, or blaming the newer generations for their grievances with the world. I don't know if these would ring as a powerset name, but they could be good character names! -

Or they just got sick of hearing about it. Either way, Something pertaining to conduits, static, shocking ect would be a good place to start for a new name. I'm blanking now, but I don't like the new one. -

Is that true, or was it a reaction to all the whining? I liked Shock Therapy better, Electrical Affinity is so generic. A loud minority of people whined "on behalf" of others. -

No crit is fine, but it needs to hit harder, or have it's bonus damage reinstated in the next build. This thing's a wet noodle. I have no real complaints about shadow maul, though I personally think it's still a tiny bit slow.
