  1. I'm making both on test to kinda noodle around with them, I'm not seeing a -res component to End of Time. Are you referring to the fury proc? Or is it a hidden bonus?
  2. I love beam, those changes did wonders for a set I used to hate, but I can't say the same for /devices. Trip mine and field operative are awesome, but Targeting drone is a bit clunky, gun drone is worthless and time bomb is, well, time bomb. I've not played with /temporal or /Trick Arrow, so I was hoping to get some insight on how they should play with a high budget build, and what would likely work for Beam better.
  3. I want to say atomic is the best set to take if you want to stay pure ranged, but I haven't touched temporal or TA. It's control and recharge/regen are pretty amazing.
  4. That's just how I reply to people. >_> But I will say, you did confuse me with the reply, so I made a guess as to where you were going.
  5. The slow stacking was also easy to play around, but could get pretty nutty with certain builds. It's not nearly as crazy as it used to be.
  6. It's something to play around, and you can always run away if you kill too many LTs in a short amount of time. It's not nearly as obnoxious as say, KoA caltrops used to be.
  7. Problem is that it would just die twice as often and accomplish very little. A power shouldn't only be useful on -1x1 with bosses disabled.
  8. I'm aware it had a patch on test, but it was not given the time the prior changes were, and pretty much everyone that did test it thought the taunt aura was a mistake. They should make it into a seeker drone if this is the purpose the ability is to serve. Otherwise, it's unreasonable to persist with keeping it as a taunt ability. It's akin to trying to make a warshade essence heal, a dark servant into a DPS or a genin as immortal. It is trying to make an ability do something it was never intended to do. Making it tankier might help a little, depends how they do it. More health and no defenses wouldn't change anything. No other blaster secondary needs a pocket "tank", with that and reasons given above, I find the idea to be inherently flawed.
  9. Not the first time CP has said something I find to be ridiculous. "It doesn't do enough damage, so we're going to make it die instantly before it can do damage." Either way, clearly - his theory has failed to hold up as the drone doesn't serve the 'meat shield' role at all, unless you consider getting one shot by a boss and having the minions gun you down an effective use of your final power. Having two drones out was decent DPS in practice, especially for AVs. Time to take that crap off the power. If they wanted to make gun drone into a "meat shield", the time for that was during the extended testing window when /devices was being overhauled, not shoehorned in with a half-baked idea two weeks later.
  10. Cold will kill things fastest, Dark will be the hardest to kill, Rad will be the easiest to build. Storm will also kill things pretty fast, but if you have to ask, I'd avoid that secondary 'till ya know illusion better. My personal recommendation would be to go cold, but give /dark a look too. I think they both do better than /rad in missions.
  11. Hard to beat a well placed wormhole+fulcrum shift on teams.
  12. My rad/fire farmer, less complex than the crab, but I dig the look ingame.
  13. Oh, good. Then they can remove it in a future patch just as easily. I seriously don't get it. It's not meant to be a distraction, it's not built to be tanky and the taunt does nothing but ensure the value of the ability drops. Edit: If you can dig up the reasoning given, that would be appreciated, I can't find it. Clearly, whatever it was didn't translate well to the actual game, but refuting it would make it easier to push for the removal of the taunt.
  14. I may be a bit confused by the wording here, but the drone didn't have a taunt until HC added it with the /dev changes. Honestly, this is a much easier fix than time bomb. It's kinda sad how the 35 and 38 powers for devices are so useless compared to the rest of it.
  15. You had my vote until the weird inherit power. They are far from OP. This isn't I2 anymore, nor were they ever really that powerful before IOs came along.
  16. Counter-counter proposal. Remove the taunt, then we can discuss replacements after. If we want a quick fix, we can't just add things on top, removing the taunt is the simplest change that would require the least development time.
  17. Most of the /devices changes that were made a bit ago were pretty good, but this one makes the power absolutely worthless. The pet was never intended to be a distraction, it's not a seeker drone. It's job isn't to get shot at and explode pathetically the minute you summon it in. It was there to help with DPS, Now, if you wanted to replace time bomb with something that taunted, like aforementioned seeker drones or omega maneuver, be my guest - that power sucks, but in the meantime, let's just remove that one effect from gun drone, because whatever idea was behind that change, it did not pan out at all.
  18. My personal favorite right now: A former follower of the Reichsman that sided with Arachnos when the invasion failed.
  19. This is one of those bugs that I hope they intentionally never fix.
  20. It's used far less often than on my other MMs, due to my /storm's relatively lower survivability compared to my others. Still, I'll use it to line of sight dangerous mobs so they don't smash my pets, or to lure distant mobs into my death traps. If support hybrid is up, I just spam it since I'm pretty hard to kill when it's up. Same thing for my thug/storm, which is much squishier. I have no qualms with popping insps when solo clearing, too, so if I feel like clearing fast instead of testing my limits, I'll just spam provoke in the middle of a storm cluster and watch things die. I strongly prefer Soul Mastery for /storm, and use that on my thug/storm, I mainly took /mu for teaming on the bots/storm because 1: Thunderstorm still knocked back when fighting mobs below +4 with the slotting on that build. 2: The build was made for when mastermind AI was still borked and staying at range was kind of a gamble. 3: I'd just spam it when things get tightly together to keep things in the burn patches, as my pets and I would have high enough defenses to just eat whatever. 4: It was an experimental build, I was in the process of testing Bots/storm and the Thug/storm relentlessly, before ultimately settling on thugs to due preference. Hence why I reference a better build I'm keeping private a few times during that argument. 😛 This thread should die now, so please PM me any follow-up questions. 🙂
  21. I'm sure it's been brought up before, but I'd just like to make sure it's noticed. This is a small, but incredibly annoying bug for Peacebringers. Using light form when it's not ready yet will still have your character do the animation and lock you out of action until it finishes, this is especially annoying when running with enough recharge to perma LF, as sometimes when you cut it close, it'll get you killed.
  22. /Traps is one of the best ones, that forcefield bubble with the anti-mez pairs very well with the buffs from the enforcers. Add in caltrops, poison traps, two stacking triage beacons and generally more well behaved pets following the patch and you have an unstoppable character. It should actually perform better than bots/traps in missions due to thugs having more raw damage, so they kill bosses much faster than bots. Bot's main strength is blowing up Minions/LTs and debuffing AVs/GMs. /Time, /dark, /storm (LOTS of damage with this combo.) /traps and /cold should all work very, very well. I'm more familiar with /dark, traps and /storm, than the others, though.
  23. Fire/psi was an old farming set. Favors melee, clears fast granted you hang out in melee. Synergizes well. Mind/fire is more specialized on lockdown and single target damage, but can confirm it clears +4x8 reasonably fast at 50 with the fire epic pool.
  24. Skimmed a bit, it looks like we're on the same page. 😛
  25. I didn't know 'no' counted as a discussion, but that's an interesting spin. Nah. It's a legitimate concern considering it's prevalence with the ATs, especially for Peacebringers. The fact you don't like it and choose to act childlishly about it doesn't make it a 'crusade'. I'd say you need to check your definitions. I'll be ignoring you now to focus on the discussion at hand, try to be productive.
