  1. Not sure if a bug or not, but like the title says, a lot of the testing QoL features are gone. Noticed it after making a grav/storm controller for testing.

  3. Short idea that just kind of hit me randomly. Essentially, would it be possible to add the timer to buffs on your character like how they were added to ability cooldowns? Could be a nice QoL feature.
  4. Cautious optimism on my part. Frankly, it's too soon to come to any conclusions without resorting to slippery slopes. HC has made a lot of good decisions, I trust their judgement and integrity. Plus, if it goes to crap again, people will just continue to server hop and NCsoft loses out on a payout for an IP they never use.
  5. Interesting, perhaps necessary step to ensure we don't endure a second apocalypse. My concern lies on if the negotiations fail again. You've effectively painted a target on yourselves, from what I understand.
  6. I wish I could provide the trigger, but honestly can't. After a bit my third imp just decided to start spawning on later casts. It sucks for imp in particular, since it's sort of meant to have the three's cumulative damage stacking together, especially on a lone boss or whatever. The reduction in effectiveness is rather noticeable.
  7. Your understanding is incorrect. That's not how it ever worked on live. Can confirm the bug still exists on my dom, by the way, if any CMs catch this.
  8. Title. It's supposed to give double bonuses to pets, but does not as of right now.
  9. I'd rather stay on topic, so I'll only address this part. The creator of that sheet is constantly working on it to keep things accurate to the game, PM me and I'll let him know what those errors are. Dark blast does seem iffy, but I know for a fact that assault rifle, psy and fire all DESTROY Ice on single target, so meh.
  10. You're correct, the +tohit only lasts a little while after popping dom.
  11. If we oversimplify any argument to such an insulting degree, of course you'd get that impression. Snipes were openers that were later changed to be close to 'burst cooldowns/ranged Assassin's Strike' you could build to always have ready, now that's just the default. Building your character to perform great things is a highlight of the game, taking that away and giving it to everyone isn't necessarily a good thing. I also say this as someone who plays a plant/fire dom. This change will make my dominator even more of a god, practically. Why would I be against it? I think it's a clunky mess that achieves nothing.
  12. Ice requires less investment to be great at single target, but very quickly loses it's throne. Also: Snipes weren't useless to begin with on a leveling team, especially if you had people with +tohit buffs. You could pop build up, you could aim, you could have targeting drone, pop yellows, there was a lot of ways to get it to work without really doing anything complex.
  13. To your first point, it practically will, as everyone with a snipe-set will no longer have to build for it. Second, ice is not bad raw single target, but it isn't competing with most of the snipe-sets.   14. I don't like the proposed sniper changes. They range from too good to clunky. After some testing, these are my thoughts on them, they're kind of raw, and I might edit the wording later. Most sniper-archetypes could already get snipe as an instant-cast in bursts, such as when popping build up, aim, domination or simply by being in a team with +tohit buffs. Of course, you could build to have it up all the time, too. Now, everyone can do it all the time, and it's less impactful overall as a result. The "Out of combat/in combat" dynamic is nonsensical. You'll maybe land one of the 'slow snipes' maybe once-a-mission. If nothing else is to change, this bit needs to go and the ability just needs to do X amount of damage. The whole point was that a character with good aim could fire instantly without taking a few seconds to aim. It strikes me as a change that really didn't need to be made, and I think it takes the reward out of building your character properly. Furthermore, non-sniping powersets will fall further behind, which, while I'm sure that can be addressed later, is an immediate issue that comes to mind when massive "everyone gets instant snipe" change is made.
  15. I do notice that they default to a gray color and semi-auto if I edit my costume - which is annoying to fix, but have yet to see them change randomly when playing.
  16. Yeah, this isn't a bug. Understandable why you'd think it was, though. No worries. :>
  17. When summoned, the Arachnos spiderlings and disruptors will randomly flash, like they do when their duration expires. While this doesn't impact gameplay at all, it's a minor annoyance worth looking into. They are only supposed to do that when they expire.
  18. Personally, I would go /TA for theme, or go either MM or NRG for min/maxing. Devices doesn't seem like it compliments archery that much.
  19. It's a set that sort of encourages getting in there and blapping. I've yet to finalize any builds, but in theory, high recharge with some defense baked in should make it really strong. For DP/Martial, it's pretty good for keeping things from running while you rain down your AOE. Also, it gives you plenty of high-damage attacks to use when waiting for your hail to come back.
  20. Back on the I24 beta, the assault rifle instant-snipe had a few issues with it. Thankfully, the redraw problem is essentially a non-issue now, but it doesn't fire instantly like it did back then. AR's snipe in i24 was the fastest in the game at about 0.60ish seconds to fire off, now it takes roughly 3s as your character lines up a shot. If that's intended behavior for now, fine - but it's not how it worked back then, so I figured something was up. The instant-firing is what was going to make AR paired with either energy or devices a pretty insane combo.

  22. As of two days ago, I no longer get incarnate threads from leveling after 50, only the empyrean merits every third level. Picture below is my dominator dinging and getting nothing for it. (I already had the 100 threads.) This has also occured on my warshade and stalker.
  23. I'd hover to the top of Galaxy City and randomly invite people, teleporting them just above the largest high level mobs I could find pretty much all day for my first week of playing. I was ten, give me a break. >_>
