You can be "sad" over it. But end of the day the 3 R's still holds true for the game +RECHARGE, +RECOVERY, -REGENERATION. First two are obvious, with third for higher end of the game. Every game, no matter it's type. Usually has a set core rules that once you figure out and understand concepts, math, etc... Will become the norm for best bang for your buck builds, mechanics, etc... Does that mean YOU have to follow it no. But many folks want an optimal play.

I nudge them in that direction. But all 4 are brand spanking new to D&D. We have 5th character made, that no one showed for. Can't find anyone willing to buy Tabletop Simulator and then 830-1130pm East on a Thursday usually a deal breaker as well for that 5th. But I try let them learn at their own pace and have fun. I'll drop hints when I feel it would be best, etc.. Been DM/GMing for 36 years now.

While I was suppose to go to first one on live(End up getting really sick 2 days before the event). This day & age, I highly doubt it. It would have to come out of serious pocket, ain't no one going spend money to host that in hopes they'll make the cash back. Cuz all work they'll have to do set that up. Even if everyone actually does pay for the tickets or whatever, they have to hope no one stops/demands refunds. Factor in the climate in the U.S. (most likely where it will be). Probably end up in some drunken political fight or shooting. (I adore our community, but we gave wackadoos here as anywhere else) Unless it's actual Company who is paying for it and putting it together or a really rich person who has money to burn. It's probably not going ever happen. Mini ones with folks locally, I can see that happening more.

End of the day, it's been established since forever in addendum. By humans before us writing and building lore, story, etc.. It's been well established. Honestly a majority of the Goldside content. (Praetoria aka Going Rogue) If you take time to go through all of them, they are well written, twisted, lots of morally grey, and more realistic then all of Blue for most part and most of red. Though there some really good red stuff. EDIT: Sorry, I misread that title. As for AE --- Mine? lol

Yes, healing can be considered a form of damage mitigation, as it directly counteracts the effects of damage by restoring health, effectively reducing the overall impact of an injury or attack. Those who think that way are honestly thinking bassackwards. Nothing you'll say will change that fact. It's been a staple in everything in our gaming/lore/stories/etc... As a form of mitigation. Literally Regeneration is HEALING THROUGH THE DAMAGE, thus mitigating it. Your honestly arguing at the void, those agreeing with you are apparently lost in their echo chamber with you. So your saying your smarter at all this then every other person in our geek, lore, dorkness, fantasy, sci-fi, etc.. That have alluded or flat out said healing & regeneration is a form of mitigation. Soldiers vs Widows in general. Soldiers normally win. Back in the day we had some really good PvP Folks on Virtue who tested this out in all variations and Soldiers won 7 out 10 fights each time. Ranged Bane at the time had most issues with a Widow, but since HC ranged powers of Soldier Mace have been improved. -shrugs-

Hero - Stupid Hero who blindly wants to do everything by the book and live up ideals of justice, peace, & love. While "Knocking out" Bad Guys and taking them jail. So they hopefully repent and become a better member to society, but end up getting beat up by hero again. Kind of makes you think it's some kind of racket for the hero honestly. Vigilant - Someone actually understands how humans work, we are imperfect shit birds. Hit's us where it actually hurts. Our wallets, assets, lives, power, etc... This may cause a cycle, but unlike the Hero is willing to end that cycle on a permanent side of things. Rogue - Basically same as Vigilante, with a more selfish street. Villain - Honestly our current society. Selfish, morons, blind to WTF really going on around them, or the ones causing shit going on around them, willing to destroy their own self interests so they can say they won, then realize they didn't really win anything and they are more pissed off again and blames everyone else around them and continues the same self defeating shit over again. Thus I prefer Vigilante/Rogue for my choice. But the Hero/Villain powers you get are really good compared to other two.
