  1. Arachnos Soldiers do, though.
  2. The report was that Gears weren't being created after a Clockwork Boss dies, not that Sprockets weren't being summoned during the fight. From the OP: I just think that you might be looking for a problem that wasn't reported, and missing the one that was. I haven't noticed the reported issue, but I also haven't gone after any clockwork since it was reported.
  3. I vote for the waiting emote where they tap their foot, look at their watch, and throw their hands in the air when it's taking too long for at least one of them while the rest cheer. Without trying to put words in the OP's mouth, I believe that the point of this is that it would indicate which (and how many) mobs over the aggro cap the team is, since there were complaints about how unrealistic it is that the only reason they aren't attacking you is an arbitrary code constraint thrown in to prevent herding. Currently they just stand there and do nothing.
  4. No problem with this (as long as it applies to all ATs that have criticals), but you still have Brawl in your tray as a Scrapper (or Stalker, or Widow, or Bane, or Corruptor, or Controller)? I'm just not sure how often it would be noticed past around level 10.
  5. Well, as long as you haven't attacked recently - travel suppression is why I always end up with Combat Jumping on my builds. Having a pocket Kin with Speed Boost would do it, though.
  6. Well, you were just killing Bob. They didn't like him. But then you went after one of their friends.
  7. Honestly, the mechanics of requiring a target in range, rooting for the animation, and having a very short term buff lead me to believe that having a 3 second duration to "make it perma" wouldn't be out of balance: you spend nearly 2 seconds rooted and then 3 moving, so you're really not getting that much closer if you're spamming it.
  8. Taunt for Brutes and the Scrapper version of Confront have -75% range in addition to the taunt effect. Taunt for Tankers was recently changed to make their version have -100% range. I don't remember off the top of my head and I'm not in a position to check, but I think that the Kheldian Dwarf Antagonize powers also have the -75% range. The Widow version of Confront does not include any -range, nor does the pool power Provoke. Like all resistable debuffs, this is resisted by the purple patch, making it more or less effective based on relative levels. There was some debate in the Tanker feedback threads when the value for Tankers was increased about whether or not mobs have a -range cap: Paragonwiki lists it as 25%, so the assumption was the make it more effective against higher level targets, but Captain Powerhouse replied stating that there's nothing he could find limiting it to that, while allowing that something might be buried in the code somewhere outside of the areas that he checked.
  9. Simply to answer the question asked without further assumptions: Yes. (That's also how the power currently works, and it's skipped by nearly everyone.)
  10. So, your vote is for no change then?
  11. *placates*
  12. (I think this might've already been used but didn't go through all 55 pages to check)
  13. The target cap would prevent it from going that fast, and while I wasn't playing then (started in i7), I'm still pretty sure that any claims of herding an entire map happened before ED (i6). I agree that there likely wouldn't be much danger with a specific farming build on the fire farms if the aggro cap were removed, though.
  14. No idea what the actual animation time was since I started during i7 and it was long ago changed, but the highlighted portion isn't a good comparison: pretty much every attack animation is shorter than Total Focus, except for long-form snipes because of the interrupt portion of the animation and the powers that tie due to sharing the animation with Total Focus. That said, looking at the video above (without going frame-by-frame to count and calculating it) the animation starts while the time is early in 0:03 and the power starts recharging while it's on 0:07. If it's not longer, it's really close and is definitely over 3 seconds.
  15. No longer in a spot that I can get screenshots, but if you look at slow-activating, low-recharge powers (which would do lower damage in PvE because of the low recharge, such as Impale or Spirit Shark aka Carp Blast) you'll see improvements. Also, Brute and Tanker PvP damage numbers were set to be the same when it was implemented and I think that the recent Tanker damage buffs were PvE only so that would affect the comparisons - something I didn't think of when I picked Tanker for the screenshot. Brute Knockout Blow does a bit more damage in PvP (same as above at 167.03 for PvP while PvE is 148.48).
  16. You can check in-game, just click the button to view the PvP effects... on the left in these screenshots:
  17. Well, and the now-fixed bug in Lingering Radiation that made the -regen unresistable while other sources were resisted to 15% of their effect after the purple patch. If you really need to stack -regen you could always use EMP (-1000%) on a /Rad also - and yes, I am aware that Traps can beat that with more than one Poison Trap (and while Poison Trap was bugged, could beat that with one as long as there were more mobs nearby). Mostly, though, it's about portability and speed of application if you team: Traps can do the most with just a little time to set up and has an answer for almost everything, but most teams aren't going to wait while you put a Poison Trap and couple of Acid Mortars down and they don't want +regen from Triage Beacon, they want a heal. None of that matters when you're soloing, and Traps is an incredible set even with the "pace of play on teams" limitation (I ran it to 50 with Bots/ and Thugs/ MMs and a DP/ Corruptor).
  18. Longer animations doing extra damage... so something like ((CastTime+InterruptTime)*0.7+Recharge*0.04+0.4)/AreaFactor then?
  19. And here's another relevant post (referenced by @Leogunner earlier) from the same thread: So despite the number of requests we've seen - and will continue to see - for it, you'll need some overwhelming reason to get it through, because the answer so far is simply "nope."
