I would make the NPCs for bases customizable (same as creating a costume for your character or a critter in the AE). This would allow players to have superheroes or villains within their base instead of normal NPCs. My main reason for this is to create NPCs to represent teammates who have passed away over the years. -

Well, I can't see the Hero/Villain Zone Announcements if I'm not online. And I would not know to be online for an event if it was not posted on the Forum. I just find it odd, because all the other events (Halloween, Holiday, Spring Fling) seem to have an Announcement or Patch Notes post. Oh well. -

For quite some time now the ambient sound of the Arachnos base in the Save Matthew Habashy and Atlas from Arachnos mission has been missing. It is strangely quiet in the Arachnos base. The mission is the finale one from contact Aaron Thiery in Atlas Park. The mission is officially titled Finale: One Man's Savior, One City's Hero.

For the past several months I've noticed that enemies with ranged weapons (guns, rifles, etc.) fire the weapon as they are drawing it, shooting into the ground or up into the air, but the attack still targets the player character. It seems the animation timing is off, as the weapons discharge as the animation plays of the figure pulling the weapon (whether from the side or the back), with the sound and the flash of the weapon firing playing immediately. Hopefully this can be corrected quickly as it really breaks the immersion in the game world.

Had an opportunity to explore the updates to the Witch's House this morning. Masterful work! The new entrance to the four paths is great, as is the new catacombs (which is now my absolute favorite path!). We also enjoyed the new haunted hayride, which is so clever. Ending the ride dumped off into a great stack of hay is perfect! Enough cannot be said about the level of detail that Dacy has put into this base. From the lighting, to the atmosphere, to the NPCs, and the general super spooky vibe, it is just astonishing. But it is the simple things too, like the spooky fog and trees around the pumpkin patch (my favorite place). Just a joy to experience. Thanks for sharing your artistic talent with us, Dacy. 🙂 -

That is very kind of you, Dacy. As my weekend will be a flurry of errands and responsibilities that I have to take care of first, I don't know that I can schedule an exact time to pop by. But rest assured, I will be logging in to have a look around this weekend, as I am eager to experience the new haunted hay ride! 🙂 -

I've noticed lately that the Flight power no longer makes sound. Hover too, for that matter. It is creepy silent when my character flies now. Hoping this is fixed soon.

New Computer - Can No Longer Take Screenshots

Well, I discovered (with the help of my nephew) that with the new computer and by using the new Homecoming Launcher, the game has different folders where the game information is stored than before under the old launcher. The screenshot feature is indeed working, and was placing the screenshots in the Homecoming file folder. So, I'm an idiot. 😐 Thanks everyone for your help though. It is appreciated. -
New Computer - Can No Longer Take Screenshots

Hi Glacier Peak, My City of Heroes program shows that Take Screenshot is already mapped to the Print Screen button on my keyboard. When pushing the Print Screen button, no screenshots are saved to the 'Screenshots' folder. I am at a loss here, as this has never been an issue for me when running City of Heroes, all the way back to 2004. Windows 11 had a strange feature that when you pressed Print Screen (while not in the game or in the game), it would open a weird screen capture option at the top of my screen. This feature might be nice when not in a game, but for City of Heroes, it caused the game to freeze up as it took a capture of the screen. These captures were not saved to the City of Heroes 'Screenshots' folder (I don't know where they go). I disabled it on the keyboard through the Accessibility > Keyboard screen as it was causing more issues than not. But even with that disabled, I still get no screenshots from clicking the Print Screen button in City of Heroes. Any ideas?
