SlyGuyMcFly
Pretty much what the title says. Started out a WM/Rad br00t and having a ton of fun with her, but I'm looking at the power sets and starting to wonder what, if anything, can be skipped to pick up epics and pool powers. Taunt and the t1 attack from WM are the only obvious ones to me. I know a lot of armor sets skip the t9 but Meltdown is only a soft crash so it's maybe worth it? If anyone has a build lying around that'd be aces, but really I'm just looking for some quick n' dirty pointers. Cheers!
Frostweaver
taunt and the T1 attack are pretty much it. Rad armor is one of the best armors in the game, but unlike some of the less powerful armors you pay for it in power picks. some people skip shatter because of the long animation and the near uselessness of 'everything in a line' melee aoe's, but it is still a good attack... just slightly less good than the rest (and way better than pools) and Meltdown is about it for skipping radiation armor... and again, the combination is incredibly powerful, and meltdown itself is also extremely good comparatively for a T9... but post incarnates, I find myself seldom using it, it's rare enough that I get better use out of slotting another LOTG mule. awesome is awesome, but when you are already pushing resistance and defense caps, it just doesn't offer much that you don't already have in your set. Prior to incarnates though, I wouldn't skip ANYTHING in Rad armor.... you want skippable powers? Pick suckier sets 🙂 The problem is that even Mace's tier 1, Bash, is a pretty darned good attack. they REALLY buffed the heck out of the set. SlyGuyMcFly
Thanks for the advice, Frostweaver! Epic pools might actually the most skippable part of the combo, I had another look at them in Mids and nothing really stands out in a big way. I mean, Mu is never going to be bad pick, but I'm already hella starved for slots so I think I'll just get a couple LotG mule picks like Afterburner and Hover. Croax
I hate the melee cones, so i woukd skip that as well. Since i know WM also has one. And with enough +rech you get a good attack chain without it. But playing that way feels a little bit underwhelming until you are at least lvl 26. So YMMV. KC4800
War Mace also has Crowd Control, which is a huge cone attack, definitely don't skip that one. I wouldn't skip anything in Rad Armor either. Meltdown you only use when you're really in trouble, which isn't too often. but it's good to have that extra layer of protection. This is speaking as a RadArmor/WM tanker. I'm assuming the Brute sets are identical. Not to put too fine a point on it, but some of my attacks are two slotted with a very rare damage +5 and a crap set accuracy/damage or accuracy/damage/end +5. They hit just as hard and as often as the 6 slotted attacks, while giving you slots to use elsewhere. You'd be amazed at how destructive the whole fighting pool can be simply two slotted while you let your other IO sets and hasten deal with accuracy and recharge.
