SpookTheHerd Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 I've been daydreaming lately of what it might be like if the player had an option to forego the Ancillary and Patron power pools and instead simply receive 4 extra levels-worth of enhancement slotting. On the approach to level 50, most builds are already loaded with powers, with Incarnate abilities on the horizon. It might be nice to take a break from acquiring powers and 6-slot the ones we already have to beef them up to their full potential. That, and way back in a long forgotten dream, I used to take the fitness power set in a time before it became inherent. While it was great that they became inherent, it also meant that your enhancement slots were going to be split with 4 additional powers, and in current builds, I find myself neglecting the fitness skills in favor of all these daggone things I have to click on that I never wanted in my tray to begin with. Obviously, a player who would chose to opt out of Epic pools should be able to do so on a per-build basis. It could be neat if there was a contact you had to go to who would send you on a mission to learn the skills of focusing on your already-learned abilities, and afterward you could train and respec with them in order to access the revised leveling. I wonder if that would be possible without breaking leveling across the whole game. Anywho, that's been on my mind lately. 1 I drawed things: Gallery of my CoH Pantheon
biostem Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 The problem, IMO, is that, with IOs, enhancement slots can act as powers... 1

I have no doubt everyone isn't as into it.
Itikar Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 Well, really, fitness pool takes at most 4 extra slots, with most builds I have seen settling for 3, two in stamina and one in health, and I have even seen a few builds published with just two extra slots, one in health and stamina each, so it hardly seems to impact the slot numbers.
