Midnight Blue Mage
Hello :] Since returning to the game, I've just been winging it and/or keeping Notepad docs for build plans, but I finally built a build in Mids based on research and my own experience, and I'm just curious to know if I've made any obvious (or not-so-obvious) mistakes. The main focus is +Recharge (personal preference cuz I'd like to be Savage Leaping everywhere as often as possible, though perhaps that isn't the most efficient way to go...), and I assume I'll be swapping in Avalanche at some point Hero Plan by Mids' Reborn : Hero Designer 2.6.0.6https://github.com/ImaginaryDevelopment/imaginary-hero-designer Click this DataLink to open the build! Midnight Blue Mage
Some changes/observations: - in Focused Accuracy: swapped Gaussian's x5 for Adjusted Targeting x5 - Weaken Resolve is a little difficult to assess; I like it in concept, and it _seems_ like it's doing something, though the major downside is that the animation is slightly long and you have to interrupt your attack chain in order to fire it off. I'm not totally put off, but I'm not totally sold either; more testing is required. - Savage Strike feels somewhat unnecessary at the end-game; it is great for slotting/bonuses, but I find myself rarely clicking that power, even when heavily exemplared. This might be a natural occurrence though...
Frosticus
you have enough tohit+accuracy to hit +7s at 95%. is that intended? I personally strive for enough to hit +3s on a lvl 50 build as you will likely have a level shift. Midnight Blue Mage
@Frosticus Oh wow; if that's the case, it sounds like I've overshot it a bit 😅 Thank you for the observation! When I check in Mids, I see a 21.8% ToHit Bonus in the "Totals" window, but is there perhaps something I'm not accounting for? Or is this maybe not accounting for all Powers being active? Frosticus
when you toggle on focused acc you have close to 30% tohit buff and 90% global acc. plus your lowest acc slotting in an attack is like 60%. in all that is a lot more than is needed. You only need about 20% tohit bonus and 45% acc (global or slotted doesnt matter) to hit +3s at 95% rate. 1 Earth/Psi Dom - AV killer Arsenal/Sav Dom - AV Killer Poison - a guide to the most deadly poisons

In Mids, go to Options->Configuration to the Exemp & Base Values tab. Set the "Base ToHit" to either 39% (+4) or 48% (+3), and then you can just look at the "Accuracy" field on each attack to see what your final chance to hit is. I, personally, can't stand to be at less the 95% against +4s, but that is a personal preference issue. Having over target can be nice for to-hit debuffs that land on you. Or, Focused Accuracy's to-hit debuff protection is pretty glorious, too.

Midnight Blue Mage
@Hyperstrike Thanks for the stab 😄 I am actually really glad you included Laser Beam Eyes; I was on the fence about it (between that and trying out Weaken Resolve), but I am happy to try it out. I appreciate you putting in the time, lots of great advice in this build @Haijinx Damn, is it really that bad? I originally had Superior Conditioning in the first iteration but it seemed sorta superfluous in the end-game @Frosticus Noted, and I saw your other post in the SM thread as well; thanks for the tip, it looks both effective and super fun! Caulderone
A lot of folks hate focused accuracy and would rather just carry yellow inspirations. I love it. The to-hit debuff protection is glorious. I would rather reserve my inspiration slots for other things. Personal preference. You do need to make sure you account for the endurance cost, though. I typically 3 slot it with 3 Adjusted Targeting (all 3 with EndRedux) which also nets me a damage bonus and E/N resists.
Haijinx
Its a massive End hog for something you tend to have lots of just by accident in IO builds. Plus Stallers get 3x as many Build ups as everyone else. Which has to hit already.

Call Me Awesome
Just for general principles I never get Focused Accuracy because it's almost never very useful and it's one of the worst endurance pigs in the game. For the rare occasion where it might be useful I'd just carry a yellow inspiration to handle it. The endurance it sucks down just isn't worth the benefit it gives, particularly in the current game of IO set bonuses. One Karma +accuracy (it's actually +to hit) IO gives you a lot of the benefit at no extra endurance cost. Guardian Survivor, occasional tanker and player of most AT's. I was looking over some builds to see what I might run for my Savage, and I liked yours a lot. But I gotta ask, it looks like you were attempting to use "Superior Critical Strikes" for Rending Flurry, but that is a scrapper only set. What would you run instead? Leaning towards Obliteration, but also thinking like a Mocking Beratement to keep that extra cooldown, maybe Touch of Lady Grey for more damage. Thanks!
