Snarky
I tank about 1% of my CoH time. I Brute 90% and do some crazy Blaster Sentinel Don stuff when I get a wild hair i have mostly run Dark/Invul SS/Invul SS/Will and the random Dark/Will Brutes and their Tank counterparts. Counterpart Tanks? I want to play around on Tanks for a while. I want to run a Invul Tank. I like no weapon sets. But do not want to go dark or SS again. So. The unloved Energy, the odd Kinetic, Rad seem to be what I have narrowed down to. StJ and MA are not for me. Any feedback that that can help me choose would be appreciated from peeps who know what the 3 builds good and. As points are from 1 to 50 to Incarnate to beyond. Will be able to put a moderate number of enhancers in the build. Including a KB to KD if Kinetic is chosen for Repulsing Torrent thanks
Heraclea
If you can get past the weird noises it makes, Kinetic is pretty good. You get solid single target damages from Concentrated Strike, and a fast recharging AoE attack in Burst. Some of the animations are rather long, so it pairs well with a set and forget primary like invulnerability. Though I do think Dark Melee has mad synergy with Invulnerability. Defense and -tohit are like mirror images of each other. Tnekmeister
Rad will get you a nice selfheal from Radiation Siphon (on a contanimated mob). Irradiated Grounds will get you a PBAoE dmg DoT toggle that can contanimate mobs. Devastating Blow is a nice single target attack and Atom Smasher yer PBAoE attack that have chance to contanimate mobs. Radioactive Smash is imo a *filler* to use when all else are on CD. Never taken Proton Sweep, due to lack of powers, so I always skip it. Energy Melee I've not played since i7 or so and then it was a potent single target set, however I've heard that it got hit pretty hard with the nerf-bat since then, so I cannot judge that set now. Mortal prey
Back on live I had a WP/Energy that was fun to play. Have to imagine that it would be good on a invul as well. I played a invul/kin on live into the twenties and an invul/stone to 50. The kin was just okay, but the stone was a beast. Loved that alt a lot. Rad is a solid choice. Does good damage. I'd lean to the rad out of your options, but energy is my second.

Snarky
Thanks everyone. Thanks Hyperstrike for that build too. I have almost finished the SS/Invul Brute you posted a coupe weeks back. Very mean my general problem with melee weapons in CoX is petty. But a deal killer for me. I hate disappearing and reappearing weapons. The entire time I am watching the toon fight I am like ‘where did that go. Where did it come from?” So petty but my OCD will not let me play one for long lol
Snarky
For Tankers how good will the changes be for Dark Melee. The cone regularly hitting 5 on test is sweet news. How about the PBAoE dark consumption? I may end up doing a solo Redside on a Invul/Dark Tank. Very immersive. I have done it on 2 SS/Invul a SS/Will and (it’s been a few years) I think also on a Dark/Invul. Alll Brutes. With the changes to Tank I might just do that
Crowcus Pocus
I vote inv/ice. Great control (ice Patch), a very nice cone (frost), a ST hold with an amazing dpa and proc potential (freezing touch) and frozen aura for some aoe. Plus, it's quite unique. Warning: This post may contain an opinion.
Troo
Given your criteria 1. Stone Melee.. do stone mallets count as weapons? I don't use the mallets (same reason). Air Superiority, Cross Punch, Spring Attack, Ancillary/Epics can make up for them as needed. 2. Energy Melee - maybe you feel lucky and think they are gonna roll back the animation time for Energy Transfer. (everyday I hope for this) 3. Electrical Melee - Fun. Maybe not the best with Invulnerability. Can have 2 teleport attacks with Spring Attack. Kinda swiss army-ish but not like Dark. Radiation might be as good as Stone but I have a feeling it's more like Electrical. Fire and Ice are out due to swords. Savage has a weird (to me) mechanic. Edited November 13, 2019 by Troo should have mentioned Kinetics but the sounds.. Psionic (3 blade attacks) "Homecoming is not perfect but it is still better than the alternative.. at least so far" - Unknown (Wise words Unknown!) Snarky
Have decided to finish leveling my Invul/Dark now at 35. Will be interesting to see how much the changes will benefit Dark Melee. I ran this build but in a brute on live with near perma hasten and using tier 9 Unstoppable. It shrugged off its own crash as inconsequential. Then had End replenishment and combat buff always up as well as heavy attacks on fast cycle

I am ALWAYS wondering where they keep those disappearing weapons and the seeming delay of draw just kills it for me. You arent alone in your no weapons stance!
