Hey all,

So I've recently got my first scrapper to 50, martial arts and ninjutsu, and for the first time I'm thinking seriously about a good end game build.  I've tried using Mids but honestly I'm not too sure what I'm doing, as I've never made an end-game build before.  Does anyone have any suggested builds I can work towards at all?  I'm ideally like to stick to some cheaper (i.e. non-purple) to start with whilst I start building up cash...

Any and all suggestions gratefully received!

Hey, I just started a MA/Nin Scrapper, too, and came across this...

Couple of questions:

  1. Why the two Hamis in Focus Chi, and not a Gaussian Proc?
  2. Laser Beam Eyes... for Winter's Bite set bonus, or for actual ranged power use?  (It doesn't fit my "Natural" concept, so wondering whether getting rid of it would be a problem.)
  3. Crane Kick: I noticed you left out the Knockback to Knockdown enhancement in the set.  Just going for set bonus, or are you actually using it in your rotation?
  4. I notice you have 4 ST attacks fully IOd, one with 5 (Crane Kick).  Does your rotation include them all?  I'm finding 3 ST attacks are enough to fill out my rotation, (CAK, CS, SK), and I haven't gotten Hasted to perma, yet.
  5. Dragon's Tail: do you use it, at all?  I find the damage is very low, especially considering it's the only AoE, although it's not terrible for its soft control.
  6. Force Feedback in Kick... how are you making space for Kick in your rotation?

1. He may prefer the shorter recharges on Focus Chi over the Gaussian's, personally I agree with you though and would rather have Gaussian's.

2. I think this could also be easily swapped for Energy Torrent and would make an interesting cool concept with this ninja build moreso than laser eyes and give a *much* needed AOE with FF proc.

3. I think it is a case of going for set bonuses, but I would personally take the KB->KD although I'd drop CK all together.

4. You are correct, the optimal rotation for MA is SK-CAK-SK-CS-SK-CS-Repeat at 225% recharge! Crane Kick and Eagles Claw are unneeded in this build although he may be trying to squeeze set bonuses.

5. It's its only AOE like you said, you will want to take it for that sole reason. No AOE really sucks especially as a Scrapper, you may as well roll a Stalker if this is the case.

6. Kick is taken solely because to get to Tough and Weave, FF in Kick is slightly better than boxing but honestly you'll never use this unless you're doing Kick -> Cross Punch for AOE which I'd definitely say is worth it to drop one of the two "unnecessary" ST attacks.

So you would drop CK (and EC?) and replace them with "utility" powers?  Ranged attacks from PPs? Cross Punch (as per below)?

Of course, my first thought when seeing Kick as "on the way to Tough/Weave", but then I saw the FF, and was somewhat confused.  I wouldn't think throwing in Kick into the rotation would help, even if it does proc FF, although to be completely honest, I don't know enough about all this to be sure.  Would Kick + Cross Punch for AoE really be better than just ST'ing each enemy?

(Please take all questions as actual questions, and not faux-incredulous sarcastic "you can't be serious" criticism, hehe.)

100% I'd drop all 3 in favor of "utility" powers.

Yes, Cross Punch is indeed a viable AOE and it's up fairly often and does *it's not a "nuke" or "arc of destruction" ok?* but it does solid damage.

Thanks, I'll see what I can do with that!  (Fly/Afterburner don't really work with my concept, but I'm sure I can figure something out!)

If you want something a little less durable but still soft capped and harder hitting while still sticking to the theme.
