Urbanknight Posted February 11, 2020 Share Posted February 11, 2020 (edited) Hello all, During the last year of City of Heroes , the Dawn Patrol hosted a Virtue-wide Supergroup Recruitment Faire. We would like to start that tradition again here on Everlasting, and we’re inviting any Supergroup who would like to participate to attend with us. The date we have chosen is Saturday March 14th, starting at 5 pm EST and going until 11 pm EST (or longer if there are still people around to talk to). Location will be Statesman Plaza in Kallisti Wharf. If you are interested in having your Supergroup participate, we’d appreciate one of your officers posting a reply in this thread (along with a small description of your group) so we can keep a rough count on who all will be attending and people who might attend can have a preview of what all participating supergroups are about. DJ Pheonyx of the Cape will be DJ’ing the event along with possibly one other DJ (stay tuned for updates on that.). Please stay tuned to this thread for any updates or changes. Shortly after the game originally went live, our first Field Commander; Major Britain contacted and received permission from the Developers to use the name of this historic and revered canon group of heroes. As such, it is important to us that we handle ourselves in a manner befitting such a pedigree. Our Vision: To uphold the traditions of honor, camaraderie, service, and sacrifice set forth by our forbearers, which include Hero 1, whose bold sacrifice led to the end of the First Rikti War. For more information or if you have questions, DM me at Nena#8188 on Discord.IC info about TDI: The Daybreak Initiative is a foundation, and registered Supergroup, dedicated to the protection and advancement of humanity. among traits: - they facilitate coordination among heroes to tackle larger threats and provide a forum for sharing knowledge. - they offer salaries to those who make hero work their full-time jobs and can help with expenses as well (power armor doesn't repair itself after all... usually). - they work with the FBSA and other official agencies and tend to obey their rules of engagement, meaning they try to avoid the use of lethal force except cases of unavoidable necessity, and when practical turn perpetrators over to the U.S. criminal justice system for adjudication once captured. - they provide support and mentorship for metahumans in need. - they fund both arcane and scientific research in the public good, and members are welcome to come forward with proposals for such projects. An unofficial final point would be that, they welcome all types of meta-beings and are perhaps more willing than average to forgive someone a questionable origin or criminal past so long as they are convinced of their intention and ability to do good in the present. I'm the leader of the Global Defense Force and am looking forward to be there with the GDF for this event.GDF IC INFO: Thanks to a partnership with the United Nations, the Global Defense Force has made its mission a simple one: Protect the world from any threat that seek to do harm. Based out of their orbiting space station, The Beacon, the Global Defense Force is ready at a moment's notice to stop evil not just in Paragon City, but wherever it appears across the globe. GDF OOC INFO: The Global Defense Force is a returning Silver/Modern Age-themed RPSG from the Virtue server with the main focus on classic Superhero vs Supervillain stories. We also have an established relationship with the Sinister Squad, a player-ran VG, so expect some big events relating to that on the horizon. OmegaX123 Posted March 4, 2020 Share Posted March 4, 2020 (edited) I kinda want to get one of my groups involved (assuming I can get myself back into an active state to make it worthwhile), but none of them fit the concept of being at a recruitment event for SGs (Young Exemplars are meant to be a team of former sidekicks like the Teen Titans/Young Justice or Marvel's Champions, Takamoto Industries is a tech firm that happens to secretly harbor a team of armored heroes so they'd be more at home at a regular job-fair type thing, and Club Valhalla is a nightclub rather than a SG so they'd be more likely to recruit by taking resumes at the club itself)... We’re heavily involved in City of Roleplay’s ongoing community story arcs, so we’ve built up quite a little internal canon for ourselves.
