Unless I'm incredibly misreading it. Yeah, I forgot another bonus that Beam has going for it. When stuff is "disintegrated" every ability does more damage, which also gets bonuses from enhancements (tested). Then in AOE situations, abilities 1/2/6 can spread disintegration, which also does damage. Then only downside there is the spread disintegration doesn't have the -regen component like the ability Disintegrate, but who cares? Sentinel DPS Spreadsheet Sentinel Builds, fifth post down
WARMONGER34 Posted March 11, 2024 Posted March 11, 2024 Hello, So by looking at the spreadsheet Beam Rifle/Stone Armor seems to be the best combo for DPS. Was wondering if people have used this in the wild and how they like it? I was wanting to make a Beam Rifle Hero and have looked at the Forums for Beam Rifle build but I have not seen any as of yet.
Underfyre Posted March 12, 2024 Author Posted March 12, 2024 Read the version history and you might just find some builds. Sentinel DPS Spreadsheet Sentinel Builds, fifth post down

taigakirdape Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Thank you, again. I still rely on the Collaborative Project for advice and reminders when I'm rolling new Sents.
Riverdusk Posted September 28, 2024 Posted September 28, 2024 Very interesting. The one time I tried beam sent it felt kind of slow and clunky. The difference between feel and actual numbers I guess. Might have to give it another try. Thanks for the work on this.
Mack008 Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 (edited) Out of curiosity... the Electrical Blast set has the ability to shock targets for extra damage. As I understand the formula, it takes the target's Endurance, applies a factor, then compares it to a random number. The lower the target's Endurance the more likely for Shock to apply damage. How did you address that in the spreadsheet? Just apply an average number? (And I think I found a typo... Rotation Sheet tab, cell M10 (damage total) refers to the Buffs tab, cell M20. M20 is blank, I believe it should be M21.) Edited December 11, 2024 by Mack008

I'm looking back through older versions of the sheet, but I can't find how I arrived at the number. Anyway, if you look at the damage cell for each ability, you'll see an IF call for Electrical Blast, followed by the equation to apply the damage. The 41.67% is the number I came up with. That is then bounced against the mobs regen/recovery resistance then multiplied by the damage amount for static. However! I'm looking at the sheet now because I28 Page 2 data is coming out and I'm working on updates. Looking at how the equation works, it's wrong. If you increase the mobs level, it increases the damage done. Clearly the opposite of what should be happening. So I guess I'll be re-writing that formula since I have no idea how I arrived at the number to begin with and it's wrong anyway. HowlingBlade Posted April 23 Posted April 23 This entire forum has been an enlightening read. Thank you @Underfyre for your efforts in putting all this together in the spreadsheet. I had never taken a look at the sentinel before, made a fire/fire one and have been having the absolute blast of my life living the battlemage dream.

Well, don't start too soon. I just pushed out 3.0.1. Few small fixes, added Psionic Armor to rack and stack and the build data chunks. Sentinel DPS Spreadsheet Sentinel Builds, fifth post down
DarknessEternal Posted July 3 Posted July 3 (edited) You absolute madman. Also, how is Psi doing so much actual dps? Aura of Madness is tiny and Devour Psyche doesn't actually do damage. Edited July 3 by DarknessEternal
KaizenSoze Posted July 3 Posted July 3 (edited) If this helps with calculation from my parsing tool. It is normal for Judgements to be number one damage dealer on any AT. Elec/Psi Sentinel. DarknessEternal Posted July 3 Posted July 3 Yes, but the sheet lists it as actual dps. Time to kill would be lower, but dps shouldn't be higher because of it.
Underfyre Posted July 4 Author Posted July 4 Well, the sheet uses actual dps to find final dps. Personally I feel like I would be doing a disservice by telling people that Water/Psi does 211 dps, but then goes out there and has a 25% faster clear time than other sets. Then I would have people saying that the sheet was misleading because it didn't account for the -regen. Hell, Beam Rifle has been top dog for a while now because of its -regen component. If you would like, I can put both the raw dps and kill time dps on the rack and stack, but it feels superfluous. Sentinel DPS Spreadsheet Sentinel Builds, fifth post down
DarknessEternal Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Oh, is that way Beam was always listed so high. I thought I was doing something wrong with it.
Underfyre Posted Saturday at 05:29 PM Author Posted Saturday at 05:29 PM (edited) One day I'll figure out a way to satisfactorily calculate multi-target dps, the whole thing with Beam will change. It's regen debuff is single target. Psi Armor's is not. The issue is that the majority of the enemies die pretty quickly, leaving just the bosses that hold the majority of the health. So you can see how applying multi-target damage to everything the entire time would skew numbers. Edited Saturday at 07:33 PM by Underfyre Sentinel DPS Spreadsheet Sentinel Builds, fifth post down
FupDup Posted Saturday at 05:32 PM Posted Saturday at 05:32 PM AOE vs ST would definitely need to be separate categories because of their separate applications. .
