Has 44 % defense to range 42% resist to cold 30% resist to S/L But Its still a work in progress not something im set on. I think the health, regen, and endurance are good for blasters, but i haven't played a blaster since live! So Any advice welcomed. This toon will mainly be used in teams and duo's. agentx5 Posted May 13, 2020 Posted May 13, 2020 I am considering an Ice/Energy/Cold or Ice/Ice/Cold right now, out of curiosity, so I want information on this. Thus far from what I can tell there are downsides: There's no snipe attack, which kind of sucks. Blizzard is not a nuke. And Freeze Ray is rather redundant with Bitter Freeze Ray. I kind of wanted an ice blaster to contrast against my fire blaster, but maybe it's better to make an ice sentinel instead?

Freeze ray is a great attack that happens to hold and should be slotted and used as such. Bitter freeze ray is a terrible attack (low dpa) and is often dropped. You have three endmods in stamina and none in frigid protection. Frigid protection gives twice the recovery that stamina does so slot that first. I would try to get more enhancement into ice storm and definitely into blizzard. Blizzard is a fantastic nuke with good secondary effects and a technically higher mob cap than any other nuke (due to being a rain it can kill mobs and then start effecting others). Frost breath is the more skippable of the aoes if something has to give. If you do take frost breath I like to get range enhancement into it. 5 posi's including the dam/range and a pure range io is my default cone slotting. Try to add the guassian's proc to build up, it makes a big difference. I would lose the regen tissue proc to free up a slot. Actually if you get a couple of endmods into frigid protection you might find you don't need the extra health and stamina slots at all. Leave the panacea in health and a single endmod in stamina and you should be good. 1

I am building with an eye towards higher surviveability where possible since I hate making hospital runs. I know a lot of people recommend to avoid B. Freeze Ray but I just love that attack- I find it's useful as an opener at the very least.
Vanden Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 I think Freezing Touch is more worthwhile to slot up as a hold than as an attack; the damage isn’t terrible, but it’s no Freeze Ray, and it can easily perma-hold a boss once slotted up. */Ice excels in melee range thanks to Ice Patch and Frigid Protection, so it’s not as hard to leverage Freezing Touch as, day, Shocking Grasp from */Elec. Frozen Aura is also not terrible for melee-range control, although I probably wouldn’t recommend it unless they change it to do damage like the Ice Melee version.
