Was curious if TW/Bio was a better set on Scrappers or Brutes? What's the general consensus? Are there pros and cons to both, or does one outshine the other?

It is so much better on scrappers.

About the only argument one can make for a brute is using the 90% res cap.

 

But TW/bio scrappers get:

- vastly superior DPS and burst damage. The nature of Momentum works perfectly with the scrapper ATOs and Gaussian in Build Up on a high base damage scale.

- decent aggro control. This is worth mentioning because most scrapper secondaries do not get aggro control. So usually this can be a reason to go brute over scrapper. No such reason here.

- Shadow Meld patching the /bio defense/DDR hole perfectly.
- more of a bonus from /bio offensive mode, both absolute (scrapper base damage is higher) and relative (scrappers aren't balanced around Fury)

The brute will still be an incredibly potent character, thanks to both TW and bio being crazy strong to start with. But a properly built TW/bio scrapper lives on another planet.

Scrapper on this one, without a doubt. I made one about 7 months back on a whim, not knowing they were pretty overpowered. Now I get it though, it clears content like nothing else and if you get used to the click powers you'll rarely if ever go down. 

I think brutes are a solid choice, but depend on keeping fury at relatively high levels to get the damage bonus. Unfortunately with TW, the momentum shifts may make that a bit harder to sustain, although I haven't tried this. With scrappers that is not an issue, where bio performs great out the the door and keeps it going.

Also while Shadow Meld is great, I went the route of sets to get a little more solid defense, and took Tornado from the epics pool. It has high damage, is up very often, and works really well with some -res procs in it to further your shredding ability. I think either route would be a solid way to go, since Shadow Meld is usually taken with the dark snipe too.

But I don't play it that often... Bio can be hard, because it wants so many slots in so many powers...

this is what i run currently but i honestly have been thinking of just giving up on the toon it just does not play very good on teams compared to my fire/shield he can smack a pylon pretty fast but i dont really consider that gameplay also talks of a nerf which im sure they will mess up since the set is not with out problems but in reality fixing them will require changing animation times etc. tall task
