FallenDice
Hi folks, at first i'm quite "new" to the game. I started two weeks ago. So i wanted to play with some new set and Salvage is one of them. I wanted to build it with perma domination, perma hasten and some s/l def. I think i achieved it with a not to many purple budget build. Perma hasten with one blood frenzy stack Perma dom S/L def cap Why to-hit debuff? Cheap and i'm going for some def, so why not. Feedback welcome. Villain Plan by Mids' Reborn : Hero Designer 2.7.2.10https://github.com/Crytilis/mids-reborn-hero-designer Click this DataLink to open the build! Nightmarer 2
At first sight, you'll get slightly better rchg by slotting 4 x Cloud Senses in Living Shadows. If you devote 5 slots as you did, you can get two dmg procs there. On Dark Grasp, you're missing either a shitload of dmg if you proc it to the gills or 2.5% rchg if you used a Basilisk's Gaze x4, can make up for the s/l def with different slotting in Vicious Slash. Personally, I never take Haunt because it is of no use for me, I much prefer the AoE hold which, at permadom lvls should have enough rchg to be used often enough. I also tend to favor Leaderhip since Maneuvers gives me freedom to slot attacks in a different way instead of depending on sets for the s/l def cap and Tactics sorts any to hit issues. The combo is awesome and your build should do the job, still, I'd change a few things around as mentioned. This is closer to what I'd do, can't access my build atm, I got a few more purples and I think I skipped Unkindness (I think), still, this build is enough for permadom and Ageless will sort all your end issues. FallenDice
Thanks for sharing and the tips. The Proc thing is kind a new for me. But the Ascendency of the Dominator proc would work in Feral Charge? Slotting Cloud Senses - completely overlooked, good advice. Personaly im not a fan of taking fighting and leadership pools because of the end use and not wanting to rely on incarnet powers. My other dilemma is i liked the pets and shadow field while leveling but something had to go, Good tips i will try to evolve the build. 👍 Edited June 14, 2020 by FallenDice
Nightmarer 2
The Ascendancy of the Dominator will work in Feral Charge, I just needed the whole set for Nrg softcapping. VV
You won't have much of an energy problem on Dark/Savage. I have one, and it is not too bad. I tend to focus on kill-speed over control, so combat goes quick.
Glowman
@Nightmarer what does your attack chain look like? First time playing a dom and most of the powers (fear especially) associated with it.
Nightmarer 2
Hmm, depends on team composition but I usuallly open with possess + fearsome stare then living shadows - feral charge - heart of darkness and then depends, rending flurry, shadow field if recharged... I cycle the attacks differently. The only thing is that I pretty much always use Call Hawk on melee despte it being a ranged attack but basically possess + fearsome stare + living shadows and then it's a matter of getting in melee with feral charge. I try to keep at least a couple dmg procs in the single target hold since those usually hit quite hard when procced but this build is way too tight on slots I'm afraid Edited June 19, 2020 by Nightmarer Being chased by a wasp is the most complete sport practice! Coyote
2 hours ago, Nightmarer said: I usuallly open with possess + fearsome stare then living shadows - feral charge - heart of darkness and then depends, rending flurry, That's similar to what I use, although there is another good option: Slot up Unkindness with two -Res procs (Achilles and Annihilation... the AA combo), and each has about a 50% chance to activate. It's not a bad option to stick that in before Living Shadows and boost the damage of the following AoEs, and it also sets you up with 2 stacks of Blood... then a full-distance Feral Charge takes you to 5 stacks, and Rending Flurry becomes 15' in radius. On teams, using the Unkindness option is definitely better since -Res boosts everyone's damage. Soloing, you get a damage boost and a radius boost, so I think it's worth it, but you're also taking longer to go into the PBAoEs. You're still doing around 200 damage with Unkindness, though, so it's not a great loss.
Hopestar
For a ST chain I use Unkindness -> Vicious Slash -> Call Hawk, Vicious and Hawk do crazy damage and Unkindness with -Res only boosts that further, something like 300 DPS. Call Swarm replaces Vicious if I need to range (for stuff like Warwolves running around and flyers). Haunt does some really good damage as well so I think you're missing out not using that @Nightmarer. @FallenDice As an alternative to S/L defense cap, you can get 27% defense to everything (or 20 if you want to also depend on Heart of Darkness) and you'll be practically capped after Fearsome Stare, then focus on Resistances. This is what I did and got 70% S/L, 50% energy resists. 1

Plenty of powers in the combo that deal more dmg and are more useful. Being chased by a wasp is the most complete sport practice!
