  1. Growing up means learning to mind your d**n business and stop telling people how to do stuff. Clearly you have not. Don't like it? Don't read it. It's really not that complicated for MOST people.
  2. So, fire melee and fire armor are both getting power bumps. I mean, they are already so powerful, this is mindboggling. I mean, thank you!

    Base Stuck In Limbo

Base update: Yayayayay!!!! GM Number Six came along and fixed the base! It turns out, one item had gotten tossed a little way outside of base limits and borked everything. To be specific, it ended up at location 831, 1.766x10^37, 831. If we did the calculations right, that means the object was 5.689x10^20 light years away!!! For comparison, the entire universe is 9.3x10^10 LY light years across. Thank you SO much to the awesome GMs and DEVs of this game!!!

    Base Stuck In Limbo

Attached here are a few **before** screenshots for reference.
  5. Dear Devs, I am having a serious base issue. SG-Lead Character: Vulcana V (global @V.V), Name of SG: Vulcana Heavy Industries International Incorporated, Shard: Everlasting. I was working on my base at the time. I had been for a while, a few hours, at least. There were a few other characters in there, but not that many. All of a sudden, while I was in the base editor, there was a flash and nearly everything disappeared! There are a few things still left visible, mostly NPCs and Teleport Beacons. Attached is a wide shot of what it looks like, now. The whole thing looks like this blah blank color. Everything is invisible and intangible, you can just fly around unhindered. Even the interior walls, floors and ceilings have gone invisible/intangible. First thing I did was CTRL-Z, of course. Tried that a few times, but it did not get better. (As far as I know, the last few actions I did were undid, but no way to tell). After that, I tried all of the standard reset options. Kicked everyone out of the base. Log out, then back in. Restart computer. Try going in with different alts. Left it unused all night long and checked it the next day. Nothing helped. The thing is, after a bit more investigation, I did discover that everything is actually still there. In the screenshot below you can see the mini-map. There are all the proper rooms in the right places. Also, the object list, which you can see next to the mini-map is at 5892, this is the correct number of objects. Further, I can tab select all of the object there. The selection outline box shows up, too. I have gone through a bunch of them and so far they are the proper objects, in the proper places. In fact, when an object is selected, the the little preview icon in the Object window shows up just fine. I can somewhat manipulate objects through available keystrokes, but I cannot click-and-drag with the mouse. Also, I obviously cannot see what I am doing while manipulating the invisible objects, I can jest tell by the change in shape of the selection box that they have done what I instructed. I can even add new objects, though they go invisible/intangible as soon as they are set. As a note, the structures are built inside the base plot, above and below. I have investigated and know that it is not simply a problem on my end. Others have gone into the base and experienced the exact same. I did hear a rumor that this is a glitch that showed up after one of the recent patches, but I have no idea if that is true or not. I really hope you can help me out. This represents an insane amount of time. If it is truly unfixable, I understand, and will start rebuilding. PS: I did submit a ticket to the GMs. They referred me over to you all, the Devs.
  6. Then I realized it would probably be good to post some "before" pics.
  7. Well, here is a new one on me. I have done some searches and cannot find anything about my problem. I was working on my base. Had been for a while. There were a few other characters in there, but not that many. All of a sudden there was a flash, and nearly everything disappeared! There were some things still left visible, mostly NPCs. Attached is a wide shot of what it looks like, now. First thing I did was CTRL-Z, of course. Tried that a few times, but it did not get better. Others have gone into the base and experienced the exact same. Have gone through all the standard fix-it procedures. Log out, log back in. Restart game. Restart computer. Tried different alts in the base editor. Has anyone encountered this glitch before? Does anyone have any solutions? I have not put in a help ticket, yet. I figured I would ask the community before I bothered the GMs directly. Checked on Dacy's discord, and checking here. If nobody knows, I am ticketing.
  8. Whoa whoa whoa there's a macro to swap builds!???
  9. When I was on, it seemed Fire/Kin was the big FOTM. It was supposedly the best farmer at the time (before AE came out). For /rad, it seems like it was mostly paired with Ill/. I remember the first time it was reported that Lusca was duo'ed, back when that monster was a beast. It either before IOs or just after they came out. Done by a pair of Ill/Rads, it took like 6 hours. Basically, anything/Rad was considered pretty OP. I think it is become less popular because, even though it is a great all-around workhorse, there are other things that focus on stuff people want better. /Cold for ripping away Resistances & Defenses. /Pain is good, as is /Time. /Traps, big Regen debuff. /Poison, particularly good against Hamidon, big Res debuff. Allow me to introduce you to /Storm. Strips them of any hope of defense, then destroys them with lightning bolts of doom, rain of pain, and 'nado of... playdough. Personally, I am macking on /Dark these days. I have a Fire/Dark that just roffle-stomps stuff. Not as fast as a some others, but ridiculously safe, while being fast enough. Great for teaming.
  10. After maining her in both Live and Homecoming, I finally broke down and did up a second build for my Fire/Fire/Pyre Tanker. The original one is based on durability, of course. Tried out a second one based around damage. Lots of procs, fewer sets, less durability. Very fun. Yes, you can only change at a trainer, but if you put one near the door of your SG base, this is not much of an inconvenience. Anybody else regularly use multiple builds? If so, on what type of alts?

    Too strong

I don't think anyone around here is nerfherding. I certainly am not. Just discussing the fun of tankers and the pros and cons of different ATs
  12. VV

    Too strong

This is true, in general. But with the 3 P2W prestige attacks, I think this puts tankers back over the top when Exemping, especially to particularly low levels, 20 and below.
  13. Can I tack a question onto this. Is Granite really a good oh-crap power? I was working on a Stone/ build the other day in mids, and I noticed when I toggled Granite, some stuff went up, but not really enough to make it seem worthwhile for all the stuff you lose. With IO sets, you can get your defenses and resists quite high. What am I missing here?
  14. PS: don't use the term god, it sounds so n00bish.
  15. Also, don't mind the grumpy old people on here. They're outta line, but they're right. I think being ornery is a common trait in those who Tank (I know I have it).
  16. Seriously. 2022 in an ancient game and we still have, "Wah, people play different than me and I don't like it so I'm going to whine on the internet about it." Since you seem to be new to this, lemme give you some direction. If you open a bio that you don't find appealing, you close it and move on. That's it. You've lost, at most, 30 seconds of your oh-so-important time, nothing else. Grow up and let people live, jeez.
  17. Hope you are well, Crystal, and feeling better. I look forward to smushing some Rikti with you soon!
  18. Hey nightlifers! My apologies for not updating this list in the past couple months. Caught me some Covid really good (despite being fully careful for all this time) and it really took me out! But, I should be getting back on track over the next few weeks, so be sure to post any updates or special events right here!

    The Long Road to Mind

Yeah, it is. I wish it had any other better movement power in it, but whatever.
  20. I also vote lost cause. I have tried it on a variety of ATs/Powersets, including a Mind/Psi Dominator, and it just absolutely cannot git gud. The Mag 2 is really what does it in. Since it does not stack, it really can't Confuse much of anything. Set muling is okay, but if you have a whole set of slots to burn on something you'll never use just for the bonuses, you can probably find something else that might have a little utility to put a set into.
  21. Okay, here we go, I'm going to spend the money and put 2 builds on my Fire/Fire/Pyre tank, a Defensive Build and an Offensive Build. I went way proc-heavy on the offensive version, of course. 22. Hey all, I'm looking at doing a new scrapper and I'm curious how Savage compares in the ranking of primaries. The theme is a nasty HTH fighter. I tried Street Justice and I love the animations, but the damage seems to be badly lacking. For theme reasons, planning on Radiation secondary. Thanks!

    The Long Road to Mind

Yeah, my experience exactly. If rolls go against me, it can easily go from full HP to none in no time. The UP and PFF are supposed to help mitigate that, but that relies on fast reflexes from me.
  24. Fire/Fire has always been known to be a massive End hog. This is especially true if you play as a scranker and push damage. You should already have Consume. Go ahead and 6 slot that as soon as you can. Slot for Recharge, Accuracy, and EndMod. That will help a lot. Also, note that one trick that many players miss is that Consume gives you pretty massive End Debuff Res. This means if you are up against Malta, you want to actually open with Consume, then the Sappers have negligible effect on you. It freaking rocks. Other than Consume, just slot heavier for EndRed in your hungriest attacks until you can afford IOs (or SOs). You are going to have to give up a bit of damage to save that blue bar, but you are a tank, so it's not that big a deal. The rest of your team should be covering you for damage. And 3-Slot Stamina as soon as you can. My Fire/Fire/Pyre is fully IOed (it was my first 50 way back when Homecoming first dropped, so it's old) and it has no energy problems at all. I can even run Combat Jumping, Sprint, Athletic Run, and Superjump continuously while going full-barrel in combat. I say that not to brag, but to let you know there is hope at the end of the tunnel. Just a few more levels and then start loading up on the good stuff and you will be rolling smooth, eventually.
  25. VV

    Too strong

Yeah, I have a fire armor Tank and a fire armor Scrapper. For the Tank, enemies will happily stand in Burn until they die. For the Scrapper, they run out of Burn at their first opportunity. This almost makes my Tank a faster killer in solo AOE situations because the Scrapper has to go chasing everyone all the time. I hardly run the Scrapper solo, anymore because of that.
