I'm so dumb and messed up the dates of the craft show I signed up for; I thought it was this Friday, but it's actually on Saturday and starts in the AM, so I will unfortunately have to miss out again (trying to get my side hustle going). Good luck to you all!

It's looking pretty light for this Saturday (23 Nov), insufficient for a badge run.  We might just run it off-theme this week.

There's a message in the previous page which we quote/reply to, but can just sign up anywhere. As for next week it will most likely be skipped due to thanksgiving unless there's enough people to run one of the WST. But the week after should be good hopefully.

Normally the sign-up sheet is posted on this thread later in the weekend (Saturday afternoon or Sunday) for the following Saturday's theme.  You can reply to it or just chime in saying who you're bringing (character name, AT, powersets).

 

This is an unusual case--likely only a casual run with no organized theme today (23 Nov), and no organized theme for next weekend (30 Nov).  I may just go ahead and post the December themes and the sign-up sheet for 7 Dec.

Today (23 Nov) is an informal run since we probably won't make a badge run.  Theme Team is off for Thanksgiving weekend (30 Nov).

 

Here are the December themes:

• 7 Dec - “A Tangled Mirror” - A Tangled Plot (Katie Hannon, Level 30-34) - All Controllers (Mirror Image badge run)
• 14 Dec - “Flight of the Super(wo)men” - Return of the Reichsman (Dr. Kahn, Level 45-50) - All Tankers (Mirror Image badge run)
  • Note:  I will miss 14 Dec and will need someone to lead.
• 21 Dec - “TV on Blast” - Terra Volta Respec #3 (Richard Flagg, Level 44-50) - All Blasters (Does not qualify for Mirror Image badge)
• 28 Dec - “New Year’s Eve Party” - Beast of the Mountain (Virgil Tarikoss, Level 15-20) - Any AT, dress to dance the night away!

@Burnt Umber's corruptor, Gelida Obscura.  The glowing bands on the classic sci-fi costume parts make cool disco accents!  Great buffs and heals!

 

@Purple Enchantress's tanker, Brittany Kane.  I like the sash with the crop top.  Great tanking!

 

Poor Mercy, last of the Midnight Squad standing in our path to power.

 

I didn't get a screenshot of the Posi fight, but we ended up having to kill him three times thanks to the healing flames.  A great run, though!

Making a character gave me a theme idea (not sure if we've done it before): Kaiju themed costumes.

A costume part inspired me to do a homage costume to Jet Jaguar

Ok, it has been a long time for me, lol.

How would I physically, on my computer, put my name on the list.

Please explain it like you're talking to a novel techie on their first day of training, lol.

 

I'll try to get a Contoller rolled up and ready. It would be a Ill/Pain Dom. It's speaking to me for some reason, lol.

P.s. I have never, in 20 years managed to get a Controller past level 20. I'll do my best though.

You literally already did the first step. You quote the post with the sign up and then state the name of the character and the powersets they're using, just like I did in my post.

It's not really an issue. I haven't done it to often enough on the last year to know exactly what to do. I just forgot.

I'm not an idiot though, and I just needed a quick reminder.

 

Also, I know it's difficult to translate sarcasm and deadpan humor in text format.

 

The last hurdle was that I'm at my 44th B-Day party and had a cpl of drinks.

The 7 Dec run is strictly Controllers (Dominators don't qualify), since the Mirror Image badge run requires all the same AT (not just the same role).

 

That being said, this is how you sign up.  There's no automated process, so the person who posts the sign-up sheet manually edits that post when people sign up.

They mean Pain Dom as in the set Pain Domination. They were talking about making an Ill/Pain Controller

I apologize, I was not trying to be rude. I was genuinely confused because you can see examples of us signing up for these events all through the thread.

 

Regardless, it's always fun to see new faces. If you need help getting to level, I'm sure any of us here would be happy to help if we have the time.

Ah, my bad.  Clearly, a set I've never played. 🙂  I mistook the Dom as AT instead of part of the set name.

Regarding (not being rude, asking for clarification because I'm not sure exactly what you want to know more about and I have a tendency to over explain myself)? Sometimes to help out the people running the Theme Team, we suggest theme ideas if we come up with something.

 

Kaiju are just large monsters (think Godzilla) and I think something we could easily pay homage to as a costume theme idea. 🙂
