Totally agree with you there! One of the many little things that makes this game so special, when there are predictable little "rituals" to look forward to in the storylines.

Market Crash trial - Sky Raiders costumes! - Any AT

This was a fun concept and unfortunately I didn't have enough time to delve into the costume options. I found out in game chat that the Sky Raiders pack is purchased at the P2W vendor and not in costume creator! Those who used it looked great. the rest of us looked great as well. 🙂 I borrowed a Goldbricker pack and they were more than generous. 😄 

 

We did not have the team makeup required to attempt the Valet badge, unfortunately. But we had a great time! Eternal Midnight achieved vet level 28, so was glad about that and made me realize she is one of my favorite brutes that I don't play often enough.

I'd prefer not to try for Master of, but if we do want to attempt some of these badges, I feel like I should at least bring one of my 50's and possibly try to kit out a support toon/debuffer.

I concur with @TygerDarkstorm, a master run can be very iffy. I will bring Atomic Heartbreak - Rad/Rad Corr.
She's a fully built 50 incarnate so can help for the badges we do try, but rather not push a master attempt.

Btw, I had another idea for a fun theme, I think. Something I came about on one of the Reddit threads about making Captain America. What about this:

 

World of Captains - Pick a Nation, make a Captain!

 

Obviously you need Shield Defense, and any type of Melee Powerset you think will fit the theme.

And don't bring the American guy! Look somewhere else! Naturally, we should have each nation only once! (*)

 

(*) For the record here: Feel free to pick a "Hauptmann Germanicus" if you like 😉, but if nobody does, I have something waiting in the wings.

But I am also happy to pick any other nation, got many concepts in my mind that I would love to try out anyway...

Cool idea!  I had one theme for April I wasn't quite sure about, so I'll put it on the schedule.  Now I have to make a shield character! 🙂 

 

Since I think I have themes for April, I won't keep them secret:

• 5 Apr - “First Contact Day” - Alpha Strike (Apex, Level 50) - alien costumes (not necessarily Star Trek), any AT/powers
• 12 Apr - “World of Captains” - Pirates of the Skies (Silver Mantis, Level 20-25) - Shield Defense powerset, pick a nation and make their Captain (not America or Britain, for trademark reasons)
• 19 Apr - “Spectre of the Deep” - Temple of the Waters (Operative Renault, Level 25-30) - pirates and ghosts - any AT/powers
• 26 Apr - “Anniversary Celebration!” (24 Apr is HC’s 6th anniversary and 28 Apr is COH’s 21st) - The Crystal of Seraphina (Ice Mistral, Level 35-40) - Bring your global-named character in your original costume!
