Working on a build.  I feel it can be better.  Help is appreciated.  Maybe see what I'm missing.  Trying to get good damage and mitigation.

I went Dark/Dual Pistol/ Dark Mastery vs Soul Mastery.  I wanted pretty much everything Dark Mastery had to offer include Soul Transfer (sue me, it fits the concept).

Anyway, the pros for your approach... You have a lot better resistances and slightly better defense than I managed.  I wasn't too worried about hard capping S/L resist though.  Still it is cool to see it here.

I took Hasten because I love me some recharge.  It also happens to bring Piercing Rounds down to 4.2s recharge which makes it nice and neat with Pistols -> Executioner's Shot -> Pistols.  I didn't really do this for the most damage.  I did it for the debuff potential when stacked with standard ammo.   Piercing Rounds is fairly generic slotting of boring old Ragnarok plus Annihilation res debuff.  Pistols has Achilles' Heel.  All of that is intended to be used with Tar Patch where applicable.

Darkest Night already has a nice damage debuff and chem rounds can raise it a bit more.  So that was another reason I decided not to push resistance too hard.  Perhaps not the best approach for what you want, but felt it was worth mentioning.  One of my goals was to use the Swap Ammo mechanic to fill in gaps as I felt I needed.  Conceptually it is fun and the debuff stacking isn't too horrible.  The damage isn't tops.

Fearsome Stare is worth taking.  That plus Darkest Night is pretty massive to-hit debuffing.  Intuition Radial isn't a bad Alpha option either.

At one point I dabbled around with Rune of Protection too.

I would love Soul Transfer for the concept!  I also love Soul Storm for the concept.  🙂  I'd really take either.

I was planning to use Swap Ammo.

Okay.  Made some changes.  Put a +RCH Proc in Executioner's Shot.  With the hope that it would go off, often enough, to keep Piercing Rounds recharging fast.

Could replace Gladiator's Javelin in Pistols to Decimation for the Build Up Proc and 1.5% Energy/Negative Resist over GJ's 2.5% Recovery and Lethal Proc.  I was thinking I may be better off with the Recovery bonus.  I'd use Decimation's Dam/End, so less recharge enhancement in the power, to help the procs go off more often (or maybe it wouldn't make a difference in Pistols).

With the +RCH Proc, hoping I can maintain Pistols > ES > Pistols > Swap Ammo > Piercing Rounds > Swap Ammo for the ST, while hitting the hard targets with HT.  Not sure if Twilight Grasp should be used often for the -50% Regen.  Would it be better to put it in the attack chain?  Is that -50% Regen better than a second Pistol attack?

Here are three variants out of the archives, I ended up building Dark/Rad for this project, but the build may still be helpful in some way.

AE 801 (link) is a variety of missions for fun and challenge, and is designed for a team of 5+ Incarnates.  Just search '801' in AE.

     801 Difficulty Varies: 801.0 Easy, ..., 801.2 Standard*, ..., 801.5 Moderate**, ..., 801.6 Hard***, ..., 801.7 Four Star****, ... 801.F Death.

I may be AFK IRL, But CoH is my Forever Home.

When i get time, I'll jump on mine. I will say that I have both sets of the Superior ATOs, and a few of the Winter sets as well.

I slotted Dark Servant with, if i remember correctly,  4 pieces of Cloud Senses and 2 pieces of Miracle.  Every attack(and the heal) that the Dark Servant uses also debuffs To Hit, so i wanted to capitalize on that.

If you use an Achilles proc, Lady Gray proc, or any other proc in any of your attacks,  it DOES NOT MATTER which ammo type you use...they will still have the chance to proc. So, it's possible to build a very proc heavy attack chain, but keep in mind that the Powers That Be have said they intend to reevaluate procs in the future.

Take Fearsome Stare and love it.

I went Mace Mastery just for the shield (extra defense plus another LotG slot).

For what it's worth,  I solo'd an ITF with mine.

Overall, I'd say my Dark/DP defender is in the top 3 of my favorite toons to play.

All of the dark servant's attacks and heals debuff to-hit. Also remember the Chill of the Night PBAoE aura around the Dark Servant that has an unslotted -tohit of.... I can't locate the Red Tomax stat, but I vaguely remember it is ridonculous like 30%

So when you can't shake that melee guy dogging you, hug the fluffy.

I remember it as being -30% too but can't verify.

good tactic is to SS past the group and let fluffy engage the mobs.
